I haven't seen the EE show yet, but I did record it. I'm waiting for my mom to come over and watch it with me. But, I did see that guy with the earring on something else. He is bizarre, that's for sure!!

Even my kids know him as the guy with the earring. While waiting in line at AK, Cameron came to tell me that the "guy with the earring" was part of the design team. His picture is on something at the entrance that I didn't see since I was the designated "stand in the bag check line" that day.

Tina, welcome back. :wave2:

Welcome back Tina!

Since it was quiet here today I was thinking it is time for another round of GTKYKFC

I did errands today too! Went Grocery shopping, 2 loads of laundry, dishes, and picked up the finished class auction project for my DD's 3rd grade class. I took it to school so all the kids could see it!

I went to Kohl's (1st time/Grand Opening). Anyway, I got a $10 gift card in the mail and used it towards DD's Easter Basket. So, far I have spent $5 on her Easter Basket from the Dollar store and everything from Kohl's was free. I will pick up Disney Dollars, a new chapter book and the new Bratz DVD (coming out tomorrow). The basket will be complete!

You're going to LOVE having a Kohl's! They have awesome sales, especially around the holidays!!

Hey everyone!

I am back from my work trip. I see you were busy, I had alot of pages of posts to read and catch up on. Now that I'm done with them all, I decided to let ya all know that I made it back in one piece, but I'm tired, so I'm going to make this short and sweet!
Welcome back, glad to see you made it! And you had your chance to run away from us crazy people, but you still came back for more! :thumbsup2

I'll play.

GTKYKFC means Get To Know Your Krazy Fellow Cruiser -- just in case someone isn't familiar with the phrase.

1. If you could do a point for point swap would you change you home resort? If so from what to what. Nope, I'll pass on a swap. I'm happy as a clam with SSR & HHI

2. Name one resturant at WDW that you just tried (within the last year) that you would recommend to your fellow DISers. Tried implies a new restaurant. I don't think I've been to any new ones but I always recommend Ohanas & Cape May.

3. If you had a chance to spend a night at any Disney park (ala Magic Kingdom during Member Homecoming with the park holding only 2000 or so DISers) which park would you choose and why? Very tough to pick just one. I know which park I'd leave out of the 4 -- MGM. The others each have something I love -- Soarin at Epcot, EE at AK & MK just because it's the MAGIC Kingdom

4. If you could spend a cruise with one deceased relative or friend who would you pick and why? My Dad......because one more day would be one more day no matter where we were.

5. If you only had one night at WDW and you wanted a great meal where would you go to eat? With or without my family? With my family, it would most likely be Ohana. If they were not going to bawk about it, I'd personally chose Cape May

6. What Orlando attraction besides WDW is your favorite? There are others? :earseek: Okay, I've been to Sea World a couple of times but it's not a favorite.

7. What is your favorite memory of your first visit to WDW? Gosh, I remember my neice sleeping in those old metal strollers while we went through the Magic Kingdom -- for a weeks vacation no less. I think Cameron rode those same strollers many years later when we took our first trip.

8. What is your most magical moment as a DVC Member? Hand down -- the night we spent at the MK during Member Homecoming. It's the highlight of all of our WDW memories -- the park was empty and we still laugh about the water bottle fight we had running from Fronteirland to Tomorrowland.

9. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you as a DVC Member? 9 It would be a 10 if we had bought in earlier.

10. What, if any, rituals do you have when visiting WDW? I think our rituals come in when it comes to dining. We have our favorites that we love to dine at during our stay. We don't always make it to them all. Sometimes I feel like we should skip all our favorite and try all new places. But, then it wouldn't feel ike we were home.

OMG You kill me! :lmao:

I'll have to check the DVR to make sure it recorded, but if it's not going to be shown again, I can burn it to DVD for anyone who wants a copy. :thumbsup2 It'll cost you though.....candy, cookies, chocolate..... :lmao:

Glad you liked the logo!

I would like a copy...I'll barter with you.....blank dvd..... scrapbook goodies....and oh yes maybe even chocolate!!

1. If you could do a point for point swap would you change you home resort? If so from what to what. Not unless AKL Villas opened up! I'm happy at BCV.

2. Name one resturant at WDW that you just tried (within the last year) that you would recommend to your fellow DISers. I didn't try any new places my last trip, but from the trip before Earl of Sandwich

3. If you had a chance to spend a night at any Disney park (ala Magic Kingdom during Member Homecoming with the park holding only 2000 or so DISers) which park would you choose and why? MK again because it really is the most magical park to be almost alone in.

4. If you could spend a cruise with one deceased relative or friend who would you pick and why? My mother. Because I'd like to have those days just getting to know her.

5. If you only had one night at WDW and you wanted a great meal where would you go to eat? Hard question. BOMA. Yummy food. Awesome atmosphere.

6. What Orlando attraction besides WDW is your favorite? Is there anything else in Orlando besides Disney? :lmao: Probably Sea World, gotta love those dolphins.

7. What is your favorite memory of your first visit to WDW? I remember sitting in a restaurant in the Contemporary with my Mother and brother who was only a few months old watching the monorails and she was quizzing me on the colors.

8. What is your most magical moment as a DVC Member?Taking my girls on SSMC05

9. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you as a DVC Member? 12.5

10. What, if any, rituals do you have when visiting WDW? New ritual: Each time we go we take a picture of Emma holding on to the Minnie statue and Julie holding onto Chip and Dale in the hub at MK to see how they've grown up from trip to trip.

1. If you could do a point for point swap would you change you home resort? If so from what to what.
I don't think that I would exchange them all. Maybe keep 1/2 at VWL, and change 1/2 to BCV.
2. Name one resturant at WDW that you just tried (within the last year) that you would recommend to your fellow DISers.
Well, since we go so often, we haven't tried anything new lately. But, we've heard great reviews of Trails End Buffeteria, so we're going to try it.
3. If you had a chance to spend a night at any Disney park (ala Magic Kingdom during Member Homecoming with the park holding only 2000 or so DISers) which park would you choose and why?
Most definitely the Magic Kingdom, since it's the park that Walt built.
4. If you could spend a cruise with one deceased relative or friend who would you pick and why?
My uncle Dan. He passed away very soon after my wedding. Since I don't have a great relationship with my dad, he was like my 2nd dad. Him and my aunt used to take vacations to FL while I was in college here and they always used to invite me. I'll never forget him, and every time I eat a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar, I think about him since we used to kid each other about it all the time. He loved WDW, and I know that he would have loved DCL.
5. If you only had one night at WDW and you wanted a great meal where would you go to eat?
I would probably say 'Ohana or Crystal Palace. We go there a lot when we're just over there for the day.
6. What Orlando attraction besides WDW is your favorite?
Is there anything else??? Actually, we do like Sea World.
7. What is your favorite memory of your first visit to WDW?
This isn't one that I remember, but my mom tells me. I was only a few years old when I went for the first time. I went with my dad and apparently we didn't have the right tickets left for the teacups, and I told my mom that I wanted to go "tomorrow" to ride the teacups. We lived in IL, and I didn't realize how far away FL was at that age.
8. What is your most magical moment as a DVC Member?
We had a wonderful time enjoying DVC with all of our family at VWL. It was tough traveling with everyone, but we did have a good time.
9. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you as a DVC Member?
11+
10. What, if any, rituals do you have when visiting WDW?[/QUOTE]
Well, the only thing that I can think of is that Emily and Madison have never had their hair cut anywhere but Harmony Barbershop.

1. If you could do a point for point swap would you change you home resort? If so from what to what. No swap for me. I love our Boadwalk home and am happy with our Vero points as well.

2. Name one resturant at WDW that you just tried (within the last year) that you would recommend to your fellow DISers. Trails End (we were just talking about it with Cindy yesterday which is what prompted this question). Anyway we had lunch there and loved it.

3. If you had a chance to spend a night at any Disney park (ala Magic Kingdom during Member Homecoming with the park holding only 2000 or so DISers) which park would you choose and why? I think I'd go back to Magic Kingdom. That was a magical night and I loved it! Close second would be Epcot.

4. If you could spend a cruise with one deceased relative or friend who would you pick and why? Definately my mom. She loved cruising and she loved Disney so she would have a blast on a cruise. I can see her sitting on her verandah and just enjoying it so much.

5. If you only had one night at WDW and you wanted a great meal where would you go to eat? Yachtsman Steakhouse. I've never had a bad meal there.

6. What Orlando attraction besides WDW is your favorite? Definately Sea World. We love to visit the penguins and the puffins.

7. What is your favorite memory of your first visit to WDW? Walking down Main Street with my mom and her crying because she thought she would never get to see a Disney park.

8. What is your most magical moment as a DVC Member? This one is a tie between our dinner with Jim Lewis and our first visit home getting a Boardwalk view with a decorated balcony (it was holiday season).

9. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you as a DVC Member? 9 (because nothing is ever perfect) :)

10. What, if any, rituals do you have when visiting WDW? Ours involves the hub as well. I always go and visit Dumbo. He's my favorite. A trip just isn't complete without visiting Dumbo. :dumbo:

1. If you could do a point for point swap would you change you home resort? If so from what to what. No swap - Love OKW

2. Name one resturant at WDW that you just tried (within the last year) that you would recommend to your fellow DISers. I will have to say Trails End. We just tried it for the first time in December. Good food and the prices were reasonable.

3. If you had a chance to spend a night at any Disney park (ala Magic Kingdom during Member Homecoming with the park holding only 2000 or so DISers) which park would you choose and why? Definitely Magic Kingdom!

4. If you could spend a cruise with one deceased relative or friend who would you pick and why? Wow, I must live in a very small sheltered world. My grandparents are deceased, but that was when I was younger, so I don't have alot of memories of them. My parents, siblings and friends are all still living. I guess I would pick John's grandmother. She was one lively lady - full of life and I'm sure she would have a blast on a cruise.

5. If you only had one night at WDW and you wanted a great meal where would you go to eat? I'm not a big food person, but I love the atmosphere at Chef Mickey's. The food is just your typical buffet meal, but it works for me!

6. What Orlando attraction besides WDW is your favorite? There's something there besides WDW???

7. What is your favorite memory of your first visit to WDW? Our first trip to WDW was just 6 months after it opened - I was amazed and still remember being in awe of the Mickey Landscape as you enter the MK.

8. What is your most magical moment as a DVC Member? Nothing special comes to mind, but all of our trips home are magical

9. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you as a DVC Member? 9 It could be a 10 if DVC wanted to give me enough points so I could spend more time there - like the whole year!

10. What, if any, rituals do you have when visiting WDW? Have to have a Mickey Bar! We always come into MK stand at the end of Main Street and take a picture of the castle. It just feels so neat to be standing there looking at the castle.

1. If you could do a point for point swap would you change you home resort? If so from what to what. Change some OKW to Hilton Head (we love HHI). Change to whatever resort I was wanting the 11 month window at! :lmao:

2. Name one resturant at WDW that you just tried (within the last year) that you would recommend to your fellow DISers. Coral Reef

3. If you had a chance to spend a night at any Disney park (ala Magic Kingdom during Member Homecoming with the park holding only 2000 or so DISers) which park would you choose and why? Magic Kingdom because it is still my favorite! :cloud9:

4. If you could spend a cruise with one deceased relative or friend who would you pick and why? My Grandma because she is my guadian angel and my Grandpa died 4 months after retiring and they never got to travel the world like they had planned.

5. If you only had one night at WDW and you wanted a great meal where would you go to eat? Artist Point

6. What Orlando attraction besides WDW is your favorite? I didn't know there were other attractions! ;)

7. What is your favorite memory of your first visit to WDW? DH and I were teenagers on our first trip to WDW. DH was stationed in NC and we decided to drive down to WDW for Labor Day Weekend. The drive was A LOT longer than we thought. We spent one day @ WDW and the rest driving. We were young and had fun!

8. What is your most magical moment as a DVC Member? Our first "Welcome Home" during our first DVC stay

9. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you as a DVC Member? 9 :thumbsup2 We have 520 points, but I would buy more if I thought I could get away with it :lmao:

10. What, if any, rituals do you have when visiting WDW? We always have to go shopping in DTD at least once :woohoo:

Another diabetic here - Type I. I have been an insulin dependent diabetic since I was 14. I will turn 60 in October and I have been very fortunate that my diabetes is not difficult to manage and I have not suffered from any of the usual diabetes complications. But I do cheat :teeth: , and my favorite Easter candy is Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs. Just takes a little extra insulin to take care of the sugar situation.

1. If you could do a point for point swap would you change you home resort? If so from what to what.

Alrighty then! We're up to four in our "special"group!

I'm a Type I, as well. I'm going on 30 years. I was really brittle (4-6 injections a day) before I went on the pump. I have awesome control now! :thumbsup2 And I definitely cheat. I have a few complications, but they have nothing to do with my control: Diabetic Mastopathy (think breast cancer without the cancer), frozen shoulder, and stupid little spots on my skin that are turning darker. None of the life-threatening complications, though. I lost my brother to Diabetes complications - I refuse to follow him. He could have been the poster child for all that can go wrong... :sad2:

Mary - I'm pretty ignorant about the oral medications. They were never an option for me. (I have a really stupid pancreas!) :teeth:

Our new group name? Howzabout the Candy Quota Quartet? :rotfl:

Me next! (Curt's on his own... :p ):

1. If you could do a point for point swap would you change you home resort? If so from what to what. I wouldn't mind exchanging some of our SSR for OKW. I love OKW!

2. Name one resturant at WDW that you just tried (within the last year) that you would recommend to your fellow DISers. Tony's Town Square. The food was wonderful! Huge portions! We went there for our anniversary this year - nice and romantic. :love2:

3. If you had a chance to spend a night at any Disney park (ala Magic Kingdom during Member Homecoming with the park holding only 2000 or so DISers) which park would you choose and why? Probably Magic Kingdom. I wouldn't mind trying it at MGM, either. :smickey:

4. If you could spend a cruise with one deceased relative or friend who would you pick and why? My brother, Dave. Because of his health, he didn't get to do much. We took him on a couple of road trips around here, and you'd think we took him around the world! I wanted to show him everything... He never saw an ocean - he would have loved it. He was my best friend. My heart aches for him everyday... :sad1:

5. If you only had one night at WDW and you wanted a great meal where would you go to eat? Either Marrakesh or Tony's.

6. What Orlando attraction besides WDW is your favorite? MCO??? :rotfl:

7. What is your favorite memory of your first visit to WDW? Seeing Illuminations. Our first day was spent in Epcot, and I was mesmerized by Illuminations! (I was also drunk off of a Mexico Margarita... ) That was just in 2002 - my first visit!

8. What is your most magical moment as a DVC Member? Walking hand-in-hand with my honey through the beautiful resorts. :lovestruc

9. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you as a DVC Member? 12. (It would be a 15 if we could buy 80 more points at BCV...) :rotfl2:

10. What, if any, rituals do you have when visiting WDW? Most involve food and alcohol! :drinking1 (Including getting greasy pizza at MCO right before we fly home!)

Good morning all! It was a beautiful day here yesterday and I'm hoping today is much the same. Have a great day!

:sunny: It was beautiful. A great day to have 2 loads of mulch dropped on our driveway. Even a better night for Gary to start moving it! Walker was helping him wearing his inline skates along with no shirt. Definately a character he is! :rotfl:

Today's looking just as nice, but with showers this evening. :umbrella:

I hope we are on the upswing for more and more great weather. I love it! The kids love it! Life is so much easier walking out of the house without a coat on -- especially when I'm putting several on besides my own. :rolleyes1
