Sandy - if you go out of the thread on the listing on the cruise meets board and think click on the number of replies for the thread it will give you the list. Lots of fun to see who is chatty (and yes I'm guilty of being a chatty one).

Sonofagun, I never knew that the Replies link gave you all that info. I hate to see what my number of replies is on the Parks Thread Game.

No luck on the 1BR at BCV. They only had one with a check in of 10/27. I'll keep hoping my waitlist comes through for a studio.

Just booked a 1 bdrm at BCV after the cruise. Well, we're waitlisted for Thursday night, but we have time for that to come through. If it doesn't, we'll just stay on the ship - I'm sure they would understand

I was on another thread that got invaded by some teens that had a contest to see who could post the most...We would move by 20-30 pages a day!!!

As Mark said his Aunt and Uncle are in Woodridge - in fact we are going there this weekend for an early Easter dinner and to celebrate the 1st birthday of his cousin's little girl. We should definately find some time this summer to do a Chicago meet. Maybe we can even talk Steve and Coleen to come up for it and if we agree to have it in Berwyn (right next to my old stomping grounds Oak Park) we could even get Curt & Karen to come.

Well, in all actuality, I am very, very shy. But by the time we met at the pre-cruise DIS Meet, I already "knew" all of you. So, it wasn't like meeting new people. I absolutely hate to meet new people, I hate to go to big parties where I know no one, I hate to talk on the phone and make all of those phone calls we have to make in life (like making an appointment). So, truly I am very, very shy.

Just like all my other top poster counters --- Amy, Mary & Diana. We are all very shy, just feel very comfortable around our friends.

Isn't that strange? If someone had told me 2 years ago that I was going to have a group of online friends, I would have told them they were crazy. I remember the first DIS meet I ever went to, one of the big posters over on the CB asked me if I ever met anyone from the internet before. I couldn't believe I was at the DIS meet, much less meeting these people from online.

Look at me now.

And, I'll confess one other thing. When Gary mentioned many moons ago about having an internet connection, I thought he had absolutely lost his mind. He'll tell you, I said what do we need that for? I'll admit it, I never thought we did.....until I started posting on the DIS.

Dining Information for the Cruise ​

Here are the people I have who have indicated they would like to sit together for dinner on the cruise. This is for EARLY dining only. I don't believe anyone has offered to coordinate a group for late dining. If anyone is interested, feel free to go ahead.

There is still plenty of time to join in on our group. From the information David (FoxxBoys) posted yesterday, we have until 2 sailing before the cruise to make our final arrangements. I would like to have the information to DCL/DVC by early September so that will be my personal cut off date.

If you decide you would like to join us, here's the information I need you to send to me in a PM. Your last name, first name, DIS name, confirmation #, cabin #, how many in your party, how many children - if any, and if you have a preference as to who you sit with.

I know I told Julie this the day of the Bon Voyage party. As I was walking up to the big group, I started thinking to myself and making myself even more nervous...man, I don't know these people and I'm walking right up to this big crowd.....maybe no one noticed my lime green crocs and the big double stroller yet....maybe I should just run in the other direction....if I turn now....then Julie came up to me and said Hi.....I knew it was too late. I'm SO glad I didn't chicken out!!

I am sure there would be enough people interested. I am setting up a Grand Gatherings number for after the Member Cruise. All you need is at least 8 people to set up a Grand Gatherings number. So, if you wanted to set up a Wishes Cruise for before the Member Cruise I can give you some helpful hints and who to contact. I think I will just stick to setting up the on Wishes Cruise for 10-27-06.

There were a few rough months of acclimation, but things have begun to level off. Last week was a bear, though. The shortest day was 11.5 hours and the longest was 14.5. That's not the norm, however.

One of the greatest experiences we've had so far has been courtesy of the neighbors on our street. We were invited to a couple parties and have become very well known and respected on the street. Not a party goes by now that we’re not on the invite list. For the past three weeks, there’s been one party or another, either at someone’s home or out on the street, where the neighbors block both ends of the street. We’ve never lived in a neighborhood like this before… it’s sort of Wisteria Lane-ish, but to the best of my knowledge at this point, no one is sleeping with someone else’s husband. There are families with kids, some without, some with grown children, and some expecting… there are some hard partiers and some who are good friends with a bottle (or four bottles). Most of all, it’s just a lot of fun knowing that there are people on our street that really make a difference… sort of like the community here on the Dis-boards. There are some readers and some posters, and all the while, behind the scenes, there’s dirt only a few exclusive people know.

I'm sure we'll cross paths again either at a Dis-meet or at WDW - after all, we've got Disney quality vacations through 2054!
