While I am counting down the time to the member cruise (202 days, 4 hours, 15 minutes & as of this post 57 seconds) I am really looking forward to the Not So Scary Party afterward. Karen and I have (Classic) Mouseketeer costumes. Mine has a "slight" typo but I enjoy the heck out of it...

That's ONE of the things (of so many) that I'm looking forward to.

Is anyone staying at Hilton Head after the cruise?

Our son and daughter-in-law, age 27, will be cruising with us. Will there be any other young couples on the cruise?

Julie & Matt are a young couple. They will be sailing with us and getting married right after we return.

No Hilton Head for us after the cruise -- we'll be there in July though!

Magical Fireworks Voyage
Cast off on a moonlit voyage around the Magic Kingdom® Seven Seas lagoon, which provides the perfect viewing location for the Electrical Water Pageant and the all new Disney Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams. Your evening will begin with a mouth-watering array of sumptuous cookies and desserts. You'll then enjoy your moonlit voyage and have fun with Disney trivia and tales of pirates and Peter Pan along the way. Your evening will end with a special Disney meet and greet with Peter himself. Available on a seasonal basis.

Price:
Adults and Juniors - $34.99, Children (ages 3-9) - $19.99

I sent out emails or PM's yesterday about the Wishes Cruise. I received information from a couple of you and through DVC MS I was able to get most everyone I had heard from hooked up with our Grand Gatherings Evening. It will take a couple of days to get the Grand Gatherings number and the Official Name of our group. I wanted to repost the information for any new comers who might be interested in joining us. Right now we are a group of 26.

I have these families included in the gathering and need no more information:
cgcw ( 3 adults and 1 child)
WDWLVR ( 2 adults)
Diana Lyn ( 2 adults, 1 child and 1 freebie)
alikat ( 2 adults, 1 child and 1 freebie)
curtdennis ( 2 adults)
rsschneck (2 adults and 1 child)

I need confirmation numbers from these families ASAP:
4 greatboys
cherylp3

If you are no longer interested and do not want to participate please PM me ASAP. If there are any new families interested please PM me ASAP with your confirmation numbers, name on reservation, names of people on reservation and ages of children and the dates of your stay.

The cruise looks like it will probably be a go for 10-27-06 (Friday night).

I have to admit, I'm really looking forward to the Halloween party too! Out of all the Disney things I've done, I've never done MNSSHP!

I'm trying to plan costumes, and I'm thinking Bruce isn't going to go for the idea I have. Emma already wants to be Cinderella, even though she's a ringer for Snow White and I'd love a pic of her in her Snow White dress with Snow White herself. But if she's stuck on being Cinderella, who am I to disappoint a 3 year old. So I was thinking I could be the Fairy Godmother. Then for Julia, she has a Tink dress, so I was thinking of telling Bruce he should be Peter Pan. :lmao:

Oh, tell Bruce to go for it! Chris did it a couple of years ago. Actually, I think that I still have all the stuff, if he wants it. He just needs a pair of dark brown pants.

We were thinking something very similar. Emily wants to be Belle (in her blue/white dress) and she said Chris will be Gaston. Then, Emily wants Madison to be Cinderella and she told me that I have to be the Fairy Godmother. I can't believe that I'm letting a 4yo tell me what to wear for Halloween?!?!?!?!? But, it'll be fun!!!

Thanks, Roxann!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: Another first to look forward too! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks Roxann - looks great. Do you happen to know what time we meet up for it? Just trying to make plans.

Thanks!

Okay you creative Halloween dressers ---- what ideas can you come up with for our family of 4? Two adults, 1-12 year old who WILL not want to dress up and a 6 year old who will follow in his brothers footsteps, of course.

Any ideas?

Hey Mary and Karen - when you have your mini meet at OKW let me know, depending on things maybe Todd and I could come!

Also we may go to Chicago. We're not sure.

Mary,

That will depend on what time they have the Wishes Fireworks set for. When we did it in the past we met up about 45 minutes before the fireworks and had desserts and drinks. There was Hook and Smee for photo ops. and everyone received a special Wishes Cruise Pin. We set sail and saw the Electric Water Pageant from the boat. When Wishes started the music was piped into the boats speakers. After the voyage on the way back there was a story of Peter Pan and then when we got off the boat Peter Pan was waiting for us. More photo ops. I think everything took 2-2 1/2 hours. Very fun and a pretty decent price for all that you get.

We ate @ Chef Mickey's before the cruise and it worked out GREAT!

Cindy,

We are planning to wear our Pirate Costumes. My Mom will be sewing pirate costumes and we figured why not wear them twice. Plus, DD is 9 and wants nothing to do with Princesses anymore

We bought some cute pirate shirts while we were in Hilton Head. The Hilton Head Shirt Company in Sea Pines had cute pirate shirts. There were cute shirts and banners at a store in the Shelter Cove shopping center. I will add magnets to mine. It says, " What happens onboard, Stays on board" I just had to have it for our door magnet!

Sounds great. Friday the 27th is a MNSSHP and based on last year the fireworks were at 9:15. So I'm thinking we would meet up around 8:30. Does that sound about right? Since it is the party fireworks that means they will also be out over the lagoon. I think that will be awesome!

Thanks for setting all this up.

Heads up!!!

Anyone looking for a preferred view 1 bedroom at BWV after the cruise, it's available right now. :thumbsup2

I probably saw this too late. I'm on the waitlist for a studio, but would have taken a 1BR. From what I understood from the CM, it's all done by computers anyway, so I don't think it would matter.

Tina - congratulations on getting officially booked. Now I hope you stick around and get to know everyone!

As Mark said his Aunt and Uncle are in Woodridge - in fact we are going there this weekend for an early Easter dinner and to celebrate the 1st birthday of his cousin's little girl. We should definately find some time this summer to do a Chicago meet. Maybe we can even talk Steve and Coleen to come up for it and if we agree to have it in Berwyn (right next to my old stomping grounds Oak Park) we could even get Curt & Karen to come. :)

Let me see how good a physic I am. My guess is that you guys go as Karen and Cubby but maybe someone with a wicked sense of humor added an h to Cubby. Am I close? Of course this could go two ways it could be added an h to make Chubby or replaced the C with the h to make Hubby? :lmao: All in good fun I hope no offense is taken at my guess.

How the heck did you compile that list? Did I really post that many times on this thread? Wow.

So, Murphy strikes again. It's getting close to college decision time and it looks like my DD is going to American University. So guess when Family Weekend is? You guessed it, the weekend of the 20th. Since we're taking the auto train down on Friday, we're going to miss it. My DW put DD's big brother on notice that he will be the family representative.

Now, if my wife flew, we could spend Friday and part of Saturday in DC and either catch a late Saturday flight or early Sunday flight, but noooooo, we have to go by land. We're never going to hear the end of this.

Ummm, David, what was that you said about wanting to sit with other DIS'ers during dinner on the cruise? :lmao: Play nice ---- or I could get even, you know!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I'm only kidding. ;)

That's it for me.....I'm done posting until someone else takes the lead! Come on, Mary. Only 42 more posts. You know, I'll never be able to stay away that long. :chat: :chat: :chat: Of course, I could always sign on a Gary! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Sandy ----

I was surprised when the CM told me that it was available. As BWV isn't our first choice and I'm looking to conserve points doing a standard view, I passed. Might be worth a call....maybe you could still snag it! :cool1:

Mary ----
Berwyn......I'm sure Gary could come up with a location there! I'm going to venture to guess that Steve & Colleen are about the same distance from the Woodridge/Downers Grove area as you & Mark are from where you live.

Sandy - if you go out of the thread on the listing on the cruise meets board and think click on the number of replies for the thread it will give you the list. Lots of fun to see who is chatty (and yes I'm guilty of being a chatty one).:)
