I guess we were due. We've had a mild winter so far. Of course, it had to happen the one week I'm not traveling

My dad who lives near Paramus, NJ went to FL this weekend to play golf. He does this about twice a month and is used to the trip down Friday and back Saturday night/Sunday morning. He just called me from an Amtrak train because they couldn't get him a flight out of FL until Tuesday! Now he's stuck on a 24 hour train ride!

My stepmother is stuck home snowblowing the 26 inches of snow they got!! Sorry, that's pretty mean that I'm enjoying hearing about it, huh?

Well I've been doing a bit of scrapbooking and got 8 pages done today. Had to go out twice for supplies (ran our of adhesive for my Xyron and wanted to pick up a photo cornerer). Right now I'm reliving memories of our June trip. After that will be our road trip down to the Member Cruise!

I guess that's because I used a lot of it yesterday.

By the way, which model of the Xyron do you have?

Now now Cindy - you didn't use that much. I always seem to run out at the wrong time. I actually went out to look for the corner rounder and was going to buy some more adhesive to have on hand. Then when I was on my second spread I ran out. I have the 510 and love it. So now I have reponsitional adhesive in it, and a 2nd one just in case. It is expensive but worth it IMHO.

I'm glad you mentioned about the repositioning adhesive. I'm not sure I would have realized that not all are. And, as I found out yesterday, it's nice to be able to adjust just where a picture is on the page.

It won't be long and I'll have one of my own.

Diana - did you say Paramus NJ? My old stomping grounds - I grew up in Maywood NJ and lived half of my life in Hackensack NJ and dh grew up in River Edge NJ. We both worked in Paramus NJ at the Bergen Mall. Shall I sing- "It's a Small World after all..."

If I were your dad, I would have stayed in Florida but then there must be a reason he's going home - hope he can get some rest on the train.

I have the little Xyron (150) and I love it. Its so easy to use and makes using your own die cut letters so easy.

Bruce was ready to beat me on Friday night when I stopped there and Emma yells from the back seat "MIKES!!!" He couldn't believe I go there enough for her to recognize it from the parking lot! It's a good think my ebay sales support my nasty habits! My family probably wouldn't have dinner on the table---I spend all my money between Mike's and Joanns!

Hi everyone!

Chat was funky last night. I kept seeing nothing on the screen but I knew you all were talking -- especially after I logged off and back on and there was an entire screen full of things I wasn't seeing. I've never had a problem before, but it was time for me to check out early.

I haven't slept well in days. I washed the pillows on our bed late last week and now they feel much too fluffy and not comfortable. So, I toss and turn. I need to have Walker jump on them for a while and then maybe I'll get a good nights sleep.

Addicted to the point where I use one week's coupon, but I already have in my head what I'm going to use the next coupon for. I hate to pay full price for anything!!

Chat was just frustrating last night, that's why I left. I really wanted to hang out for a while, but it kept locking up, and I had to keep resetting it.

Add me to the list of insomniacs this morning. I did't sleep well at all, and Julia woke up screaming at 5:30 like she was being beaten in her crib. Of course, Bruce had already left, so I had to pry myself out of bed to see what was bugging her. She had somehow, who knows how, stuck her hands down her pants and taken her diaper off completely! Lucky for me, it was just wet, but she was soaked, the bed was soaked and there was no way I could go back to sleep.

What is this Xyron thing you're talking about? I have adhesive on a roll, but you can't reposition with it. Also, the little paper squares (whatever they are called).

Too bad I'm 6+ hours from Chicago!

Oh Mary - drive on up. All my scrapbook stuff is still out on the table. I think one of the reasons Cindy's book looks so great is that she has a great looking family. She came with some great ideas and I just helped here tweak it.

I'm sure your book will be great and I look forward to seeing your pages and everyone elses when I get my book back on the cruise.

Mary, according to the rotation, I will be mailing to you so you will see first hand the work I do on my own. I'm very lucky to have Mary help me with my beginning pages, but I certainly can't ask her to help me do my part of her circle journal, can I? That would be a little tacky.

This xyron thing is a machine that you put your item through and it adhere's a sticker to the back of it. Really, really cool.

I did find one on ebay but unlike me as a seller, I'm a bit leary to buy from others. Not long ago, I bought some pictures that had I sold, I would have mentioned that the paper on the back of them was all ripped up. They will hang, but the backs look terrible. If I were the seller, I definatley would have mentioned that. So, even though the one I found says factory sealed, I'm still a bit gun shy. I think I'll just wait for my "Mike's" 40% off coupon.

This is the way the chat room is for me most nights. It works fine for the first 3-5 minutes, then the screen starts blinking, but nothing changes! If I had been on last night, I probably wouldn't have seen anything!

I'd have to think about that one long and hard. DH and I drove to Chicago last summer, and let's just say I let him to ALL the driving. I get really stressed driving in cities. I'm not ruling it out entirely, it's just something I'd need to get psyched up for.
