We are thinking that our May cruise might not go to Cozumel as planned and may go to Grand Cayman (all speculation at this point). One poster was disappointed they couldn't do the dolphins in Cozumel and we suggested stingrays which she said she didn't like. Many of us love the stingrays and someone suggested we start a stingrays are cute club and of course Mark went and made a logo for it!

I knew there was a story there some place. :listen:

Stingrays are awesome animals. Cameron caught one that was about 80# on Hilton Head on our first fishing trip. That baby was HUGE. It sure took a lot to get him to the boat.

As if that wasn't enough, Cameron also caught one about 40# and another about 30#. All in the same day. :teeth: That's a memory to last forever.

Talk about an awesome experience. :thumbsup2

Our digital camera was ruined on that trip but we were able to get a couple of pictures:

Diana - yes I've been watching Gilmore Girls since the beginning. I take it you saw my post over on the CB. I'll have to go check for follow up. I think dolphins are very cute. Just love stingrways. Would love to see the picture of Em and her balloon.

Cindy -very cool pictures. I take it you put them back.

Actually, Mary, they are mounted on the ceiling of our living room. :rotfl: :rotfl: Hanging from a rope. :lmao: :lmao: (kind of like Lisa's goat on a rope ;) )

Seriously, they never even got into the boat. Definately catch and release in this family. The first one wouldn't have fit in the boat. :scared:

Our friend Scott who does the dolphin/fishing/beach combing trips out in Hilton Head told us that they don't really "mount" their catches - at least sharks. The bring it in, measure it, weigh it and then release it and put the people in touch with a company who will make a fiberglass mold of the shark. :cool1:

Well I didn't get flowers. I got palm trees comming in April ! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc They are going in the front yard. Yes,palm trees that grow in Michigan. :teeth: They will grow from 20 feet to 40 feet tall. Can't wait to see what the neighbors think. :lmao: :lmao:

Wow, that sounds so cool! You have to post picturs when you get them planted!!

Cindy, those are great stingray pictures. I do think they are amazing creatures and I really want to do the Stingray thing at CC in October. Can I hire any of you guy to watch the girls? :rotfl2:

Hey I'll watch the girls. :thumbsup2 I have no kids this trip. Let me know.
The palms are going to be pretty small when they come. Shipping them in from Gorigia.

Chris there is a nursery by our house that sells them, of course the first time we saw them we thought it was a joke. Do you have to do anything to get them through the winter? Now won't that be a sight - a palm tree with snow on it :rotfl:

No just keep them kind of warm around the bulb.Oh and stake them for wind. I'm going to put spot lights on them. When they get large enough I plan on wrapping them in white lights.

Chris - what an awesome gift - are you going to put them in front of the house? I look forward to checking them out when I drive by to dd's house.
Do your neighbors give you a hard time about your love for Disney? I will get comments from mine every once in a while and I reply with "jealous?" or "you just don't get IT - do you?" But I will also tell them that it surely makes me smile

Cindy - what an awesome experience for Cameron! Very cool!

Mary - cute pic of Bear with the DVC shirt on! Belated wishes for Bear's birthday!

A little under the weather here - fighting some kind of virus thingy and I don't do very well with winter weather so I'm a hurtin'.

No.They always ask if they can go with us.My neighbors are really sweet. OK most of them ;) They all were surprised last year with the banana trees. I can't wait to see what they do with the palms. (and yes ,I plan on putting them in the front yard )
Mary I hope you get better fast. That grandbaby is comming soon! :wizard: :wizard: Go away virus! She doesn't have time for you! :goodvibes

That's Awesome Amy!!!!
Glad to hear your having a good time!

We don't exchange presents here (just xmas and birthday presents for Nick) So I wasn't expecting to get anything. Jeff did go shopping at the Disney store in NYC last week while he was down there for work and bought Nick and I a bunch of pins and got Nick a Narnia T-shirt!

Amy - how awesome! Congrats on winning the sketches. Did Ducky say what other cruises he was doing this year? Did they say why he was on your cruise?

Have a safe trip home. Can't wait to hear all the details!

Hi Amy! Glad to hear you guys are having a great cruise! That is so awesome you got 2 sketches!!

OK, so not the greatest picture of Chicken Little because the top half of his head is chopped off, but you can see how big he is! With his feet on the floor to the top feathers on his head, he is almost as tall as Emma!

Amy, glad you all are having a great time! I look forward to hearing all about it. Cool on winning the sketches -- I love Winnie the Pooh. pooh:

Diana, that is a really big balloon. Don't let Emma hold it, she'll float away with it in a breeze. :teeth:

Palm trees in Michigan. I bet they are going to look wonderful when they grow a bit.

We don't really celebrate Valentine's Day either -- other than to say Happy Valentine's Day. So, we were lucky enough to spend time together at Walker's soccer game -- a rarity these days between running here and there and the hours Gary is working.

Speaking of work, I didn't today -- at least not with my regular job. But, I worked harder than I do most days. I left here at 8:25 to take Cameron to school and then headed off to Muffin's with Mom at Walker's school. Out of there at 9:30, came home for 30 minutes, ran to get hot lunch for Cameron (a big treat for him since I never do it any other days), back to Walker's school to pick him up at 11. Off to the Ear, Nose, Throat doctor to find out Walker's going to have his adnoids taken out and they definately sqeezed us in (as Monday's appt got cancelled due to emergency surgery on the doctor's part) because we didn't get out of there until after 1. Out to lunch with Walker, then off to Cameron's school to register Walker for 1st grade. By that time, Cameron was getting out, so they had to stop him from getting on the bus. Stopped home for a quick break to let the dog out. Back out with the kids to get Cameron a colonist costume for a school project in March. Stopped at Michael's on the way home. Then Gary called to say he was going to be late, so I'd have to take Cameron to baseball tonight. By now, Walker has had enough of this running around, so I was able to get a babysitter to come at 6. Right at 6, Cameron & I went out the door to baseball. Baseball from 6:30-7:30 and now we are finally home. :car: :faint: :faint:

Now I'm going to be on go-go-go mode for the next 3-4 hours. It's going to be a late night. :upsidedow

I'm so glad I'm working tomorrow --- it will be a much easier day. :thumbsup2

Good Morning Everyone. :coffee:

Phew!! Cindy I got tired just reading your post. I know how you feel.. I think all Mom's have had days like that!
Sorry to hear about Walker needed surgery. Luckily Nick was able to avoid that.

I want some Palm trees in my front yard too!! That would be cool!

Oh well this was just a quick stop before heading to work.
