:rotfl2: Yep that's us. Now don't forget everyone to hand over your room keys as we'll be taking the kids on the stateroom tour right after we eat mac and cheese with our hands! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Just a normal day in our house. I don't see it being a problem. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think it is time for another edition of GTKYKFC... you know the drill

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....

3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......first on local BBS's, then on Prodigy and later RADP. Very happy I found the DIS!

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....we'd go to WDW every other year or so and try out the new hotels. We loved staying Deluxe, but to us the DVC accomodations are even better.

3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...like the Seahorse Catamaran snorkel trip.

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....the ornament. That way every year when I decorate our tree I can remember the happy memories of SSMC06. I have two ornaments from our 10 day cruise and just love them!

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...thank you for making DVC more exciting. The special events like the Member Cruise are great! I would also tell him that they need to plan more special events and at different times of the year so that everyone can participate.

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......on rec.music.gdead, also on the original gopher sites out of the University of Minnesota (back in the mid '90s - I was in college and had more time then).

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....Value/Moderates, that changed when I contracted a severe case of poison ivy immediately before a trip working ladnscaping with my dad. Imagine trying to not touch anyone on one of those cramped, move-back-until-you-can't-see-the-floor values buses after MK E-ride night.

3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...I am trying to get a cabana one of the days and I plan on sitting with a drink in my hand all day, possibly reading one of my poker books and maybe getting a massage. No cameras that day!

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....The Ash/gray t-shirt. That looks the best of the shirts and I can wear it proudly at WDW all year long. If I were in NJ, the sweatshirt would win out because I could wear that more.

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...to keep upgrading the member website. I would also offer my services to help with that and remind him that I could test the website functions (that's what I do, test computer applications). Then, he would remember me from the beach last year asking him for a job. Robin, thanks for bailing me out by interrupting. I felt like putting me foot in my mouth after asking him for a job and the look his wife gave me. I would also thank him for the annual pass discount.

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......
On mailing lists

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....
Commando. Go every year and squeeze as much as I could

3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...: Nothing New! I like having the ship to myself and relaxing days and I hate the beach!!

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....: Not sure. Too bad there isn't a scrapbook though!

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...: Good Work, although communicate with members more. Maybe add in an Ask DVC column in the magic and email newsletters.

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......this is really the first message board I ever posted on. I used to play alot in AOL chat rooms. That's how I met Bruce the Shark.

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....still going at least once a year, but usually staying in values because we weren't "stay in the room" kinda folks.

3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...I'd love love love to parasail, but I know I'd chicken out. I'd also love to try the banana boat, but I'd probably drown. :lmao: I'll stick to sitting in my chair at the edge of the water, sipping on konk koolers.

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....I'd say the ornament. I think it's a cool addition!

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...that he's doing a great job! I'd also thank him for having these member events. That's is the best thing that ever happened to DVC in my book because I've made so many awesome friends! Keep 'em coming Mr. Lewis!!

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......Kind of all over. I would look up tons of things that interested me.

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....Well I hadn't vacation much just before meeting Jeff and my parents bought into DVC within 6 months of them opening at OKW so we just tagged along with them.
3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...I'm not really sure. Nick wants to try the Parasailing and go with Cameron. The Banana boat would be kind of fun though.

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....The ornament! :thumbsup2 That way every year when I decorate our tree I can remember all my friends and special moments from the SSMC06.

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...Tell him Great Job and I like the direction he is taking DVC. Also that our family enjoys the special events and like Mary said if they could be at different times of the year so that those with school age kids cn get to enjoy them and I like a good advance notice about these events

Sandy you could do what I do and eat it plain. I know it is better with the oil, but I really do love it plain. I'm wierd.

Eat it without the olive oil?? :scared1: You might as well ask me to eat a hamburger without ketchup. Pancakes without syrup. Peanut butter without jelly. Kermit without Miss Piggy (okay, so I got carried away).

Right now, after seven days of Passover, how could we be talking about bread? That's cruel. Do I talk about eating steak on Fridays? Nooooo. :rotfl2:

Yea!! We are done painting Nick's room!!!

You should see the color.........It's Buzz Lightyear Alien GREEN, or DISboards greenish!!!

The color chip said Celery sprig but it's a little bit brighter. It definately brightens up his room!! :thumbsup2

Speaking of that thong, why isn't there an image on the back of it?   :lmao:

I want to know why there isn't a model for the thong like there is for the shirts :cool1:

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......

On the Theme Park Boards on Prodigy. And then the Disney Parks board when they gave us our own. Non-Disney - a lot of usenet baords and internal company bulletin boards.

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....

Lake George (NY) every summer. Relaxing vacations

3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...

Parasailing, if I can get my weight down far enough by then. 27 pounds so far :cool1:

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....

the magent if we have any room left on our frig.

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...

to pass the chocalate souffle, please

Talking about Kermit and Miss Piggy, this year on the tvland awards they had them do the award for favorite food , and Porkchops and Applesauce won and then she karate Kermit and Chris knight who accepted the award!

Just an FYI!!!

For those of you that fly Southwest they opened up the dates thru Septemeber 12. Can't wait for them to open for October! :thumbsup2
And I read that Disney should be starting to sell tickets for MNNSHP starting May 1st! :bounce:

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......
on the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" message boards on AOL

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....
camping for two years to save up for a big vacation...either Disney, Colorado, or Washington D.C. (once)

3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...
Stingrays and hopefully a cabana massage!

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....
Definitely T-shirts for Ken and me, but also maybe a long sleeve t-shirt for me. I'm kinda cold natured, and they're just perfect for spring and fall.

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...
First, thank you for everything he's done so far from a fellow Hoosier. Then I would ask him if DVC will ever have weekly member meetings at a different place and time. I've only been to one (at BWV) and would love to go again, but 4:00 at SSR once a week is not very practical! At 4:00, we're in full park mode, and it's too hard to get away. I liked the 8:00 a.m. meetings much better.

Stingrays and hopefully a cabana massage!

I totally forgot about the stingrays!! I'm so doing that!!! Um, anyone want to watch the girls? :confused3

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......I guess I watched TV. No other internet message board for me prior to the DIS. I see I registered in 7/00. I know Walker was born in 2/00 -- that kept me a little busy ;) . And, we took our 2nd family trip to WDW in 9/00 -- which is when we bought our first 150 points with DVC.

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....We stayed at the Poly both trips we took. First one was 9/98. Second was 9/00. We did the Fantasy Package, I believe that was the name, which included character breakfasts every morning. It was a nice way to start our WDW fetish and we definately toured the parks commando style!

3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...I'm not sure for myself. I know that Gary & Cameron are planning on parasailing -- which will be new for them since the weather wasn't agreeable last cruise. I'd love to do the banana boats -- maybe someone else might be interested since I couldn't talkmy family into doing it last cruise.

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....We'll definately order the tshirts. I'm thinking we'll have the Christmas ornament for many years to hang on our tree as well. Probably the mugs -- but I like huge coffee mugs and I'd really like to visualize the size of it before I order one.

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...Thanks for the positive changes he's brought to DVC. I love the AP discount, I'm looking forward to the dining plan. Continue to remember we are in it for the long term and consider us with future discounts. I think I'd also tell him I was very surprised to see that he was just like one of us on the last member cruise. I'm still impressed that he rode the bus back to Cape Canaveral (with Gary in fact) when I'm certain because of who he is, he could have had other options. Way to go, being a common folk just like us!

Hmmmm, want to do the banana boats with me? Maybe we can work out a deal......how's that for bribery??

I just got a phone call from member services. :thumbsup2

I thought maybe it was our waitlist for BCV coming in for October. But, no luck there.

It was a followup phone call to my email I sent after our trip last month. Two things I asked about. The possibility of Artists Palette opening at 7 a.m. instead of 7:30 for that morning cup of coffee -- okay, I admit it, I'm on vacation and lazy and don't want to make my own. But, that's the exact reason they gave me for not opening earlier. That all villas have a coffee maker.

The second comment I made was about the pool temperature. Apparently, I wasn't the only one to comment that it was much too cool. Again, I heard it's the Red Cross that recommends the termparture between 78-84 degrees. They were trying to save "us" some money in our dues which was their apparent reason for lowering them (that I don't buy -- as WL pool was cold too and they have the hotel attached to the Villas there). But, the good news is that due to the number of comments they heard, the pools have now been lowered up to 82 degress. Beats 78 -- I'm don't have any idea if they feel warmer now. I would hope, but is 4 degrees enough to make a big difference?

Anyway, it was a nice personal touch getting a phone call. :thumbsup2

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......I think this was one of the first message boards that I ever found. It took me forever to register and start posting.

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....we stayed at Vistana resort and the villages for a few years then finally bought into DVC

3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...I can't wait to take the girls snorkling and just being with them. Last year we went with out the girls for our anniversary and I can't wait to show them everything

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....the t-shirts and the ornament

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...I would thank him for everything that he has done and I would love to see more discounts like MNSSHP. I would love to have more DVC group things when the kids are out of school.

Cindy - I'll do the banana boat with you. Maybe we can get the guys to watch the kids and all the girls could do it!
