Since we're talking about weather I have to tell you what happened to us on Friday.

We went to the hospital to see a friend of ours. We got there about 6:30 and planned to stay until 8:00 when visiting hours are suppose to be over. While we were there it started to rain - sideways. Alot of lightening too. Thunderstorm warnings & Tornado watches were posted. The nurse came in and closed the blinds on the windows and told us we couldn't go near them. She came back 5 minutes later and pulled all the curtains around the beds and told us we would all have to stay within the curtain area until they got an ok for us to leave the hospital. She closed the door and left. So here we are, 4 grown adults stuck in this little area around the bed with the curtains pulled around us. The nurse didn't come back in until after 10 PM to let us out. At least she did offer us something to drink

YEE HAAAA Thunder lightning wind rain hail the whole shebang tonight and more coming. We had a HUGE cell go right over our area. Luckily FD pager is QUIET (SHHH) stay safe all you in the path of these storms the are packing a wallop.

I want to thank all of you for your wonderfully fast and friendly replies! I see that you all are a very chatty group, I am glad for that as I am too! I am doing the cruise with my girls...after all we were waitlisted and it came through, so it must've been meant to be! You have all been a big help, and I will definetly look forward to meeting you on the cruise. I was a little apprehensive about it just being me and 2 kids, but you all have put me at ease. I knew the kids would have fun, I was worried that they were going to go off to the kid centers and I would be bored. But I see that I was way wrong thanks to all the people who replied!

BTW those storms here in Chicago were nasty...My girls and I were on our way home in the middle of them and had to drive under 30mph most of the way home because it was so bad! So be careful east of Chicago they are heading your way and not pretty!

Cindy and I are both from the Chicago area (she's in Schaumburg and I'm in Morton Grove). We'll have to have a mini-meet sometime this summer. Then we can show you our scrapbooks and tell you all about the cruise. If you don't mind meeting some crazy people from the internet.

And don't forget me too!! I'm originally from the Chicago area, but I moved to FL about 9 years ago. We still have LOTS of family up there, and we're hoping to make it up there for a little DIS mini-meet this summer!!

Amy - how could we forget you! You just name the date and we'll clear the calendar (unless it is the weekends of 5/26-28, 6/3-4, 6/23-25, or 8/18-20 - which are our May Cruise, Nascar race in Milwaukee, and Irish Fest in Milwaukee). We are also going to try and have a Michigan meet sometime this Spring/Summer. Any excuse to see DIS friends!

That sounds wonderful! I would love to meet all of you, any weekend is ok with me except Memorial day weekend and the weekend before the 4th of July! Memorial day we will sort of be in WDW, My friend live there and we are going to visit him, and possibly catch a few days before our AP's expire on the first of July. July 4th weekend is Nashville, Adults only weekend! So we will have to set something up around all of busy schedules. BTW I am not too far from you guys at all...Woodridge!

Cool! I'm Mary's dh, btw. My Aunt & Uncle live in Woodridge, know it well And the other Aunt & Uncle live in Franklin, TN. Know down there well too! Infact we're driving down for the member cruise and plan on stopping by them for a visit overnight. We have just got to figure out some kind of summer meet around here.

Welcome, Tina!

This is the first Member's Cruise for us (my DH is curtdennis), but not our first Disney cruise. You really will have a great time!

Even though I'm a "newcomer" to the group, everyone here has been wonderfully friendly, helpful, and supportive. Believe it or not, I had less than 50 posts when I stumbled on to this thread back in the Fall... (And now they can't shut me up!)

Karen - I have ressies for May 17 - 25. A few nights at SSR and then over to OKW for a few. I had to reschedule my plans once, sure hope I can get away for a few days soon. I sure need my DVC!!!

Mary - We'll be there with my (our) nieces May 17-23! This will be the first time ever for the girls! I'm so excited!!! (These are not children, BTW. Hollie is 25, and Amy is 22.)

Hi everyone... hope you're all doing well and anxiously counting down the days until SSMC06! Will and I are confirmed for a 7N-W sailing of the DM on 9/9 followed by 3N at DSSR. This will be our first trip back to FL since our move to TX. Just 153 days away - and we can't wait!

Several weeks ago, the question was asked about how to link reservations for dining onboard SSMC06. Mark has the right process in place on his website, collecting information from those who want to be part of the same dining rotation. The ship does not even think about arranging the dining rooms until two voyages before each sailing. Mark, if you don't have someone already, I recommend that you identify someone in Member Services who can assist in managing the requests through DCL when you get closer to the voyage date (probably in late September).

Last year, repeat cruisers made up more than 50% of the passenger manifest, the highest of any voyage in DCL history. Then again, it's DVC... would you expect anything else? With the uniqueness of the DVC Member Cruises, from passenger demographics to ports of call and everything in between, DCL and DVC make every effort to accommodate requests within their abilities and limitations.
