Karen - I'll be staying over at OKW before and after the cruise so if you have stuff to get home to Michigan that will make it easier - OKW is my fave place to stay and I sure hope to be there in a few weeks -

I promised I wouldn't kill you guys with repeating this info over and over, but it's been a few days so I wanted to post again for anyone who missed the last post!

***T Shirt Information***​

When I gave my last update on the shirts, I had set a design deadline of April 1st. April 1st here, so here's where we are:

The Vendor
It seemed like everyone who voiced their opinion was ok with using Cafepress. So, right now, unless anyone speaks up with a good reason not to use them, that's who we are going with.

The Designs

For the back design, as of right now, we have Mary's design here that was received very well:

I'm leaving it open until tonight to come up with another design choice for the back. This is a "Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace" warning! I love this design and those who voiced their opinion loved it too. But that doesn't mean it HAS to be our shirt.

For the front design, we have lots of different options and no clear majority choice. Here are the designs:

The Plan

Here's what I'd like to do. I think it will be easiest if you just post here IN RED your vote for the front design. I'll keep a running tally of the votes and we'll set a date of April 8th to close the voting. I really don't want to innundate the thread with t-shirt info, and prefer that you guys don't hate me for killing the thread with shirt stuff, so every couple of days I'll post a vote post with the choices again, short and sweet so any people who don't read back can catch it. I thought about doing a seperate thread with a poll, but this way everyone who checks the thread here won't have to worry about finding another thread somewhere else to post on, plus right now, we're only voting on the front design, so I don't think it will be as chaotic as could be. Once the voting closes, I'll get with the designer and upload the image into our cafepress store and we'll be open for business I'm estimating by April 15th!!!

Once again, I appreciate everyone's opinions and thoughts so feel free to pm me with anything about the shirts. These aren't MY shirts, their OUR shirts and I want to make sure everyone is happy with what the group decides!

I'm not Diana but I can answer the question. If we use cafepress Diana will set up a private store and provide us the link. Then you just log into the store, order what you want and in what sizes and pay be credit card. They ship direct to you.

Thanks Mary! David, I hope to have the store open for business by April 15th. I'll set it up with some choices of products and then if anyone wants to see something else in there that cafepress offers, just tell me and I can add additional merchandise. You were "away" when we discussed the whole cafepress/zazzle thing, but I was able to set up the store so there isn't any profit made, so what we are paying through the store goes 100% to cafepress. I can try to go back tonight and find the post with the cafepress v zazzle pros/cons. The majority of people said cafepress was the best vendor for our needs.

Also, you guys can think I'm wacky, but I didn't want to post a vote tally so far because I didn't want peer pressure to settle in. I don't want someone to come in and say X is the obvious winner so far, so I guess I either won't vote or vote for X, even though I really like Z. Of course, anyone can go back through all the posts and count!

I do have a running tally here though, so I am keeping track of who has voted so far, so don't even think about trying to cheat and vote twice---Curt!!

Thanks fur theanswer... see what happens when you crawl into a hole for a few months... I just figured out yesterday that they changed the signature guidelines. I had the difficult choice of removing 2 graphics....NOT A HAPPY MOMENT.

Too Bad we can't put "Blinkies" or "Fish Extenders" in the store.....
I would not even be averse to you making a slight profit on the items. You are putting a lot of effort in it.

mrs.lips doesn't actually make the fish extenders. They have a Disney Home tag inside them, so I imagine you can get them somewhere in the world besides from her.

I'm also fairly certain a crafty person (not myself, I'm not a sewer) would be able to make one on their own and get the iron on transfer paper and put whatever image they want on it.
