I know how it is! This was the first trip to WDW in a while that I did not have to be the 'tour guide' for other family members and it was so nice to be flexible! Sounds like you had a nice time at VB. We have stayed there once and really liked it.

I am thinking about going to WDW in Oct. My dd has a Fall Break and since she did not come on this last trip I think it might just be a good excuse to go back in Oct.! This was my first trip to WDW without her and I missed having her there so much!

Congrats on the new puppy! Our family dog just passed away this last week while I was gone on the cruise. She was with my ex-husband at the time. It was quite upsetting especially since I had not seen her in awhile because he got her in the divorce.
I have thought about getting a puppy for my dd and myself but I now live in an apartment and I am not sure it is fair to a poor dog to not have a yard to run around in. We'll see now that Meeka is gone.

kellib36~Yes, let's do talk about our travel plans when we get closer to the date.

As far as Hulk fitting in the seat I wanted to wait to see him get out but they made us all leave the unloading area before they had him and his party get out. We did take a picture of his picture and he is so calm looking! Not even a wide eyed look unlike my photo! You can always see my tonsils (sp?) and I've ridden RRC at least 20 times! Alsways the same!

If you're ever at Park Meadows again, I only live about 6 min. from the mall. We could maybe meet! After all it is 11 months away and you just might NEED to come to Park Meadows mall! Although Flat Irons is a wonderful mall and my favorite. Wish it were closer!

Scott H~What books did you order? I would be interested in the titles. I have ordered a couple on the Panama Canal itself but would be interested in others relating to the history of the area especially pirate history.

Cotomom and danicaw~right now we have booked our air, hotel, transfers through DCL. For each of us it was around $400, I can’t remember the exact amount right now. But I am going to watch for a better airfare although that isn’t bad. I know now that I do not want the transfers because I want to arrive at PC earlier than I know the busses arrive. The hotel with DCL was the Hyatt I believe. Whatever we decide to do we will come in the night before…I am not going to miss this ‘boat’! Would love to go to WDW for a couple of days prior but I don’t think that will be possible because as it is now my dd will miss the last week of school. We are planning to stay a couple of days at DL…I haven’t been there in years! Also Danica, I never feel it is ever too early to start planning!

Disneyana~Welcome! We are also in a Cat. 9 GTY so I am hoping that we maybe will get upgraded. But not really holding my breath! We stayed in a Cat. 9 just this last week and it was fine. There will only be 3 of us and the port hole was very large, so we will be fine if that is what we get. I am only hoping that we are on Deck 2 and not on Deck 1 because the port holes are smaller on that deck.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I am just trying to get the laundry done from our trip.

OK OK OK Peter I was having a senior moment or my mind was on work. I do remember Cotomon from the inaugural western.

Congrats on the new puppy , Maisy looks great. I am glad you got her to round out your family, we understand. That is for sure.

Looking forward to getting warm in the South West. My office is having me drive so I leave today at noon. Will honk the horn as I drive through PHX. I have to return directly to Cheyenne so hence easier to drive. Easy for them to say.

We have 4, yes.. four Golden Retrievers, Rex 11, Jessie, 4 and two of her babies Woody and Tink who will be two next week.
If I can figure out how to insert a picture I will at some point. They are our "kids" now that the real kids have flown the nest... much better behaved too. I just am going crazy trying to find a suitable place for them while we cruise.

I know you're a bit south of me, but if you really want a great place for your babies and don't mind paying a bit extra, Almost Home Pet Resort is the place. It really is a puppy resort. They have a playground, a pool, and a running area for the dogs. The "kennels" themselves are huge. The staff is wonderful. My two never want to leave, every time I go pick them up it's s truggle to get them in the car as they run for the playground... If it's to far for you, they might be able to reccomend someone closer to you. They have a web site which I can't remember off the top of my head, but they are located in Valrico FL.

I hope you're all doing well. I've been amazingly busy with work and working and doing all that "spring" cleaning at home. DD and I have cleaned out her room and were able to donate 3 boxes of toys to Goodwill, and 1 box of clothes. The rest of the stuff we'll be selling on ebay to earn cash for the cruise.

Only 11 more days till our trip to Disneyland!!!!

Vicky-glad you had such a wonderful trip.

I called DVC for my info on points to see what I have (well, don't have) available for pre-post stays. That Christmas 10 dayer we are taking this year sure took the points.

Anyway, we are having my parent's 50th wedding anniversary party this Friday night. Flying in tomorrow night and come home Sunday. We are having the family "meeting" Wed. night to discuss my parent's estate (they are planning ahead considering my DH is still trying to settle with his brother-you know it's only been six years, what's the hurry?) My parents don't want any "problems" after they are gone. I consider a good idea. Pre-planning is always better. (That's one of the reasons we are on these boards!)

I'll see what everyone wants to do at the family meeting. My sis said she wanted to go early and go to WDW since they have never been there. I took their daughter when she was 15 and she was my "nanny" (needed someone to spend all day in the pool with DD at Vero Beach), but sis and BIL never been. So, they think I can just use my condo. Sure......for a fee!!!!!

So, that's what's going on. Busy weekend, busy week, flying out tomorrow, I'll check back soon.

Have a safe and fun trip! It is amazing how fast those points go sometimes, isn't it?! I am having Disney withdrawals already and we weren't going to go to WDW because of the repo cruise, but I am rethinking that and might just plan a trip in Oct. Need to call MS and see what's available.

Yep, the dog issue is huge here right now! If only we had a yard....I really don't see that happening in the near future...I like not having to take care of any outdoor upkeep or any indoor for that matter either! Right now the less I have to worry about in those areas the better! So no dog for us right now.

Today is a rainy, drizzly, slow day here. There's something to be said about that old song "Rainy Days and Mondays"! I want to go home and take a nap our read a good book...maybe one on the Panama Canall and the pirates!
