One question--we weren't given cabin numbers, why is that?
When the bookings originally opened up on May 5, the cruise sold out by sometime on May 6. When the initial deposits were due on May 10, the availibility opened back up. At that time, DCL was only offering staterooms on a "Guarantee" basis, meaning that they will give you at least the category that you booked. So, unless you booked on May 5 or 6, you wouldn't have had a cabin number assigned.

Cabin numbers!?!?!?!
You haven't heard?
Standing room only! Dianthus and jin diesel are renting out the lifeboats as suites. :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

I agree that there should be a lot of "special" stuff for the cruise, but there is one difference between this and the Inaugural Western: The ports that we are going to are not becoming "permanent" ports for Disney. So, say that Grand Caymen did something special for Disney on the Western, I doubt that Curacao will have the same incentive. (Cabo is the only port that Disney is scheduled to return to more than once more)

I guess I am basically saying that I expect "Disney to do it right" but I don't necessarily expect the same from the folks at the ports.

We were on the same 2/28 Western Cruise! I loved your trip reports - it'll be great to read more!

I'm one of the cross-overs from the 8/20 Repo Cruise - we booked the first day. I couldn't resist the opportunity to cruise with Mickey for TWO weeks!

I was thinking maybe a bunch of us DIS Ladies would like to do a High Tea together while on the ship? Anyone intersted?

If we get a group of us we will have to figure out a few details...I know it's 11 months away but I can't help myself...must plan!

My pinkie is raised already....Count me in! This may be Cash's only opportunity to do a tea party...high, or low....

I would be interested in the high tea as well! Any opportunity to sit around and get sconed.

They scone you when you've been to the buffet
They scone you on your stateroom service tray
They scone you when you've finished with the brunch
They scone you, it's no substitute for lunch
They don't care if your waistline's grown
Everybody must get sconed

I'll go back to the thread for my own cruise now.

You're going back on a cruise????!?!?!?!?! I thought you swore them off Catherine? By the way e-mail me if you are interested in helping me and Jeff do the race this year. Also when is your silly self coming back down here?

Catherine's on the August one.

Nuh uh, no way, no sir, not a chance.......I do NOT believe this.....Catherine, OUR Catherine is doing another cruise?!? Lori, you MUST be fibbing!!! I was there when she SWORE she'd never get on another one til they put in an AC onboard.....and she's doing a 14 day?!? I gotta go lay down.......

RickW - I'm not sure that some of the ports wouldn't try to "entice" Disney into returning to their ports. We were also on the Western Innagural (Hi Pete!) and they definately brought out the big guns. I could see some of the other ports like Curacao looking to get Disney to make their port one of the regulars.

Anyway, I just know we're going to have the bestest time! I wonder what kind of "special" entertainment Disney will have on board and, probably more spectacularly, what they'll have when we reach L.A.?

I think Jenkat is on to something....
Making individual ressies, or small groups.
When we get closer we will figure out more specifics,
But it sounds like we can shoot for having a group or two meet for Tea while on board.
I was thinking we'd picking a tea time and all trying making ressies for that time. Then meet beforehand and try to check in together.

Hi Kelli.

Catherine gets 14 days on the ship being bored at night...

and then 2 nights you know where. See below.

I swear I'll go back to my own thread now.

No need to leave, Catherine!! I'm not sure ONLY 2 nights would make it up to you.....but I'm glad you're expanding your horizons yet again!! ;-) Too bad you can't make the Western!

Welcom aboard Bob and Lee!!! Don't worry about your cabin number, as Grumbo said - I'll rent out a space to you ;)

I am also raising my pinkie to High Tea! We will have to figure out how to arrange it all...

-jindy

I'll come out of the closet and say hi :wave2:

There will be 6 of us cruising with you all. My parents, my DH, myself, and my DD (8 at the time) and my DS (5 at the time).

We're sooo looking forward to it!

Have a GREAT night!

Go figure! The two people I would think LEAST likely to want to take another cruise, let alone a 14 DAY CRUISE, are doing so.
One on the May repo, the other on the August repo.

Me, I'm considering July 9th Mexican Riviera, but I'm still suffering a bit o' sticker shock. I've never done single supplements before, and I'm on the fence. :)

I'm still not booked, and I'm the one who LOVES cruises.
Hell froze over!
