Morning all. Another day on the work front!

Hopefully, the wind will die down out here on the western edge of civilization! Saw there were some bad storms headed across Kansas City this morning. Hope everyone is okay that way.

Not much new. Just got my new Disney Catalog. I was thinking the PJ's would be pretty darn fun for the cruise. (for the romantic escape package!!! HA).

I'm saving my money now since they closed all the Disney stores around here.

I was posting in the regular threads about the suites. I'm a little happier after having posted...seeing that current cat 7 prices mean I'm saving money by upgrading to a cat 3. That is the way to justify it, right? I'm SAVING money by taking this cruise!

The worst thing though is I won't be able to bang on Tigfanjeff's wall. Oh well...I will make the sacrifice. hehe

I find it hard to work...I'm cruising in 11 days!! Does anybody live in the cicada zone? I have one here sitting on my phone to keep me company. It's all you can hear outside. Can't wait til they go away!

Close your eyes and imagine the wave.................................it is now May 19, 2005....................................our hair is blowing in the ocean breeze and we are doing our daily walk around the deck getting our exercise before our massage...............................a lovely sea day..........................................we are all anxiously anticipating entering the Panama Canal in the a.m. Captain has stated we will enter at 7:30 a.m. into the first lock. Everyone is going to call it an early night because we will all be up at 4 a.m. to view the incredible beauty of coming into the canal.

SNAP....SNAP.....BACK TO REALITY......Okay, it is back to May 19, 2004. Just think what you will be doing one year from today!!! Of course, all our busy pin collectors will have been lined up since 4 a.m. to buy that LE PC Disney Pin!!! I know you pin fanatics out there. I may even get in line for that one, or two, or three.

Okay, now real reality sets in, I need to get to work!

Well, I don't personally collect pins......but knowing that knowing that Disney knows that all you guys know that you know that you collect pins, don't you think they will double or triple the price just to get more money outta ya, you know?

I've been participating recently on the more general threads, but thought that I should drop in on this one occasionally.

Anyway, I was thinking about this large group of DIS people that will be on the cruise and thought that it might be interesting to have a short time at one of the meets where we would find out interesting things about the group. So, we would ask questions such as:

Who travelled the furthest to get to the cruise?
Who will travel the furthest to get home from the cruise? (This may be a different answer than the first question)
Who has the most posts on the DIS?
Who has been a DIS member the longest?
Who has been on the most DCL cruises?
etc.

Anyway, I'm not sure of the best way to do this, and if it would be better to collect this info before hand, and then just announce it, or just have people raise their hands at the meet.

Also, I'm sure that others could think of more questions that would be interesting.

Any thoughts? (Don't worry, you can say "That's the worst idea I've ever heard" and you won't offend me )

Seriously though- We were given a pin for the first 7 day Halloween cruise in 2000, we were given the Epcot flame pin - the 1st millenium pin at WDW in 10/99 at the Passholder party and a Lanyard with 5 or 6 pins for the 1st guest check in at AKL on the first day... Since this is a "first" maybe they'll blow the wad & give out one per guest! LOL! Wishful thinking... Ya never know!

Robin~ Try Priceline for Hyatt MCO about 2 to 3 mo before the cruise. I got Hyatt MCO for $50, tax included for our April cruise! I reserved a room there for now at $149- Hyatt Best rates site guarantee. We use Happy Limo from there to Port. We usually arrive the night before around 6PM & the Hyatt is so convenient. Sometimes I've seen AAA rates @$99 for Hyatt MCO in the past.

The Rad is a bit run down due to all the cruise activity(imho)- nice pool area though... Their shuttle is a bit frantic. Everyone wants to get on the first one...We've stayed at Hampton Inn & Double Tree in CB, return a Avis rental car & use their shuttle to Port. It seems to work better for us. Some people love the Rad, so maybe I'm the wrong person to talk to. Check the site for promo codes. The time we stayed there we got the 1 bed. suite for $99 with a code. Too early for that right now...
