A question...

Is anyone going to do the Tower of Terror walk/run on October 27th?

There's a 13K and a 6.5K.

Joe and I will be doing the 6.5K (4 miles). Not much, but at least it's something I can tackle!

Georgie..whats the walk all about ?? Sounds neat !! We will be getting off our OTHER cruiseline that day ..then running off to La Nouba.Would love to cheer everyone on ...What time and for how long is the walk..I can sponser you.. let me know..sharon

Long week (72 Hrs) and I am looking forward to the weekend off. Catch up on the Tour and doing some work on the barn.

Sharon, I don't think this TOT walk has any sponsors. I'm under the impression that it's more of a recreational thing at MGM? It's on the 27th from 9 pm - 1 am. You can walk 8 miles or 4 miles. I will get you the link. Would be great to see you as you run around to all of your activities!

Well Frontier Days kicked off yesterday, We will be going to the parade today and maybe a rodeo tomorrow. Big air show on Wednesday , will be kewl to see the Thunderbirds.

Still moving stuff to the barn from the basement, when that gets done, will have to paint the garage floor and then start on finishing the basement. Lots to do but we are making progress.

Hi Scott! + Lynn! Enjoy the weekend festivities.

It's a WONDERFUL day here in NJ. The humidity has broken and the sun uis shining. Time for some around the house chores today Somehow they don't seem as bad when the day is a pretty one!

Brandon is returning home after a 3 week stay, but will be back in 2 weeks to finish up the summer with us. Then we'll be down to Mouse Beach and WDW. (We will also have time to rest up! )

The pancake breakfast was amazing, They fed 10,000 plus people in about 30 - 40 min. They really have it down, I will post photos as I left them on the work computer before the air show. And the food was good pancakes, ham, coffee.

The Thunderbirds ROCK!!!!

One of the solo members did a low and fast fly over, It was KEWL as it set off car alarms in the parking lot. LOL

I remember my first air show when I was in the Air Force. We brought most of our patients up to the roof of the hospital to watch it. After the Blue Angels were done, most of the patients went back down to the floor, but one patient and I stayed for a minute longer. The Blue Angels did one last low fly by and knocked both of us off our feet. It was way cool.

My nephew went to an air show a few months back in DC, and loved it!

He told me at the beginning he never saw the planes coming (he was looking towards the field, away from their approach). They came in so low, and so fast, and were so loud, he literally fell to the ground. AWESOME was the only word he could use to describe it.

Nice pics, Scott. You coulda sat on my roof and got some a tad bit closer. We are less than one mile west of the centerpoint. One dog now has 2 things he hates, fireworks being the first.

Did I ever tell you about the Thunderbirds, an M-16 and my high school boyfriend?!?!? Funny now....wasn't so darn funny back then!!

On the house front, we have a pool under the subflooring. On the good side, we can swim with no sunburn!! We need a roof, and SOON!

Sorry about the subfloor, weeks without rain now we get lots in a couple of days.

Lynn is call the barn builder as we had a little roof leak and I don't have a ladder tall enough. Have a 16 ft one, would work ot get on your roof?

I just finished it last night at 11pm, I was also very apprehensive about the ending, but I won't spoil it for you. Don't skip to the end, read it thru, you will enjoy it more that way.

I haven't even bought the book yet!! I just know I'll end up hearing about it before I get it read. I even had two VERY loud teens walking past me tonight on the sidewalk talking about it, and I got in my truck and waited til they left. I've worked 48 1/2 hours in the past 4 days. Kinda pooped...but I'll get online and order it. I guess that's the first step!!!

Kelli, I borrowed it from the library, I had a hold on it since January, but the library bought 41 copies of it. I just returned my copy yesterday. Of course, now that the main branch is closed until Sept. it might be a little harder to get it from there. If I had bought it for myself, I would run over to your house with it so you could start it right away!
