Welcome back Kim and Bette! Glad you are still with us! Looking forward to our Palo meet, that is if we are still on. Tell me about being busy.......you don't even want to know!

Kim, I just can't wait, hopefully next Christmas I will be in my home in Florida, and warm! Then I can plan some trips over the holidays to WDW. My DD is flying home for Christmas break, and I already know she will be complaining about how cold it is here! LOL.

Robin

Good Morning Robin,

We are most assuredly still on for Palos...

Bette

Jen and Jeff, silly me, we will not be leaving WDW most likley until late afternoon on Sat, Would that work?

Saw Stitch, yesterday, it was ok, not wowed by it, but better than Alien.

Enjoying Food and Wine. There is a Mango wine from the FL kiosk, pretty good stuff. Out of St Pete area.

Early day at MK, so of to do Fantasy Land stuff.

Bus out of BCV was a 40 min wait yesterday. Barely got to MK in time to get ahead of the crowds.

Bill and mary did you get the PM.

We Had a Chance To Attend Food And Wine Fest. This year.

Was Yummy We Ate Our way Around Epcot...

Day Off today .. Happy Vetrans Day..

Peter

Does anyone have any opinions on if Disney would be better Christmas for Christmas vs' Universal?

Wheres Jindy?????

Scott- I am glad you are having a good time! I know what you mean about seeing stuff destroyed from thr hurricane. And to think, it looks 10 times better now! It still is sad to see homes with no roofs and debris everywhere!

Have a great day everyone!

Kim

Happy Veterans' Day!

Wish I had the day off to watch the parades, but work is crazy right now, so work I will!

I think there are several of the folks in this group that will be on the 10-day holiday cruise for Christmas. We will be, and we're very excited.

Kim, have you seen WDW at Christmas yet? If not, althought it will probably be crowded, I would highly recommend it. Extra magical!

Cheers, Kara

Kara

We will be right there with you on both trips. Can't wait. Linda (seaulater) will also be on both.

I will be in Sacamento next week for several days. I hope that Northern California weather with be good.

Ken

Oh yes, please do try! We'd all love some information.

Robin

Thank you Kara. I have not seen WDW at Chrismas time. I want to take my daughter for Christmas. The only reason I am really leaning towards Universal, is beacuse if you stay at thier hotel, then you can get on all the rides without waiting in line. That is a huge plus! I don't think Disney does anything like that, do they?

Have a great weekend everyone!

I remember someone has seen Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. It is coming to Atlanta in January. Are there any places that would scare a 6 year old? I'm thinking of taking my DD6 and DS9.

Thanks.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Scott, you're killing me! But absolutely, we will make it our mission to find out what we can about the Repo cruise. Love it!

Ken and Linda, will you both be at the DIS meet on boarding day? Love to meet you both then!

Ken, not sure what the weather is set to be like next week up there...we are about 45 minutes south of San Francisco, so I don't get up to Sacramento...well, ever. Only pass through on our way to Tahoe. But it's been pretty darned cold in the evenings, like down in the mid- 40's even here where it's usually warmer in winter and cooler in summer, so I bet it's getting colder up there right now. Plan to bundle up a bit.

Have a great weekend all!

We took our DD to see it in LA when she was 6 or 7. She had seen the movie and didn't have a problem with the show. In fact, she didn't take her eyes of the show the whole time. If your DD has seen the movie, I don't think she would have a problem with the show.

I'm planning on attending. Can't wait to meet some of those characters from the 10 day thread.

We took the kids to see the traveling B&B show here.
Our youngest was 5 at the time. I don't remember her being frightened by anything. She really enjoyed it.
My DS was a different story. He couldn't figure out why I would make him miss a baseball game to see a show that we could have just watched on DVD at home.

 Guess we'll have to work a little to cultivate an appreciation for live theatre in him.

Re: Beauty and the Beast

The Broadway show is fantastic! Absolutely love it! And there's nothing in it that's any scarier than the movie. If your kids have watched that already, they'll be fine. The scariest part is probably when Gaston and the Beast fight at the end (which is also probably the scariest part of the movie). Actually, I think the stage version is a little lighter than the movie. There's a brief song where Gaston meets with the asylum director. The song lightens that scene rather than sticking with the darkness of the movie bit (no song). If they like the movie, I think they'll love the show.

Ok, now I really want to go. I'll have to figure out how to ask my Dad to get the family the tickets for Christmas. He ususally get me and my DH gift cards for dinner places, but I would love this so much more!

Thanks for all the positive feedback about the show! Can't wait.

Hey everybody, we'll be there too.
Billy my son and Kristen my DD will be with us. Billy is almost 13 then and she will be nine. They have to take the exams at the Christian school before leaving as school will let out when we reach port in Long Beach. Do you know of any other kids of this age that I might be able to keep tabs on so the kids will have someone to hang with? Let me know. I am more worried about Billy if there will be fewer teenage kids. Thanks.

We got just a dusting, but with the wind, it sure is cold!!!:( I had to break down and turn my heat on, and am not happy about it. Will be in the 70's today in Tallahassee, DD will really feel it when she comes home for Christmas.

Welcome 3DAN!:wave2: If my sister does not cancel her reservation for this cruise, she has 3 DD, one 14, one 12, one 9. So Billy will be about the same age as Olivia. She has told Olivia, they will only be going if she keeps her grades up from now until then. Given that, Olivia is working very hard this year!

Off to run errands!

Robin
