I arrived back home tonight after spending three days at DL/DCA. 'Just couldn't understand why my bed wasn't turned down with a towel animal and chocolates on Saturday night at the hotel :sad2: Too tired tonight to start tackling the mountain of laundry, mail, pictures, etc...

Thanks so much to all of my Disboard family for helping to make this cruise an incredibly memorable trip!! It was great walking around the stateroom decks and seeing soooo many doors with the magnets and fish extenders--if I had a dollar for every question I got about the t-shirts, door decorations, and especially the lanyards I could have paid for my double dip cruise that I booked for next year!

Trip report/pictures soon.....

Okay, I am more lost than I thought. What is this new ship I keep hearing about? I hope everyone had an amazing trip. We saw Crocs, sea turtles and amazing pods of dolphins! So I am very sad here in reality! It takes awhile to get readjusted I guess! I am just depressed! I also saw Spencer! He made the act soooo much funnier! The down sides for us was the fact that there seemed to be some really rude people on this trip. We gave up on some things because of some people! It was a little disapointing, and Disney did'nt seem to enforce certain rules, but all in all it was an amazing experience of a lifetime! So was getting my luggage in L.A.! Have a great day everyone! I miss you and the Magic! :grouphug: This work thing is just no fun! And its been pouring since yesterday with tornado warnings! YUCK!

Kimberly

ok we need One Pin !!!

and we will have the Complete Set..

It is The Castaway Cay pin..

Anyone have an EXTRA ????

Watching it on Ebay for $25.00 or so.. LOL

Peter Thanks

Well it goes like this WHEN they build there 3rd and 4th ships
We will Be There not until then..

Guys!

We're back at work. Just the thought of posting, and I have tears in my eyes. If anyone walks by right now they will think something tragic has happened (But it really has!!! Our trip is over!)

Meeting everyone was the greatest thing for Joe and me... the special things we did as a group made the cruise. We've been on other Disney cruises, but it was the friendships made here on this board that created the lifetime memories.

YES!!! A REUNION CRUISE!!! YES!!! KEEP THE THREAD GOING!

Our coming home saga... couldn't end the trip without another saga for Georgie + Joe ;)

Flying into Phila on Monday, there was a medical emergency and our plane got special clearance to land early. The man was met by paramedics who ushered him off the plane as soon as we landed.

Getting in an extra 30 minutes early was WONDERFUL, BUT, when I asked Joe if he could get the keys so we'd be ready to go when we reached the parking lot, he gave me a confused look (you know the "where is the excursion meeting?" look...). Long story (VERY LONG story) short... he didn't have the keys! :faint: We even called the ship, but no luck (I didn't want to rummage through 4 huge suitcases if the keys were found on board!). We had to hire a town car to drive us home that night.

We were up broght and early yesterday, and went into work. To avoid rush hour traffic in Phila, we decided to go back to retrieve our van during our extended lunch hour. On our way there, our PT Cruiser overheated! We reached the lot, but our cell phones were still in our carryon bags! :rotfl2: We were really stranded! :sad2: Another LONG story short... someone gave us some antifreeze and we got both cars home. The Cruiser is now in the shop, and we will pick that up today (fingers crossed). We're both exhausted!

We hope everyone is home safely! Can't wait to start sharing pictures! :Pinkbounc

I know the feeling. After waiting almost two hours to get our luggage at the port, we finally made it to Orlando at about 11:30 that night. Well, nobody knew which terminal we parked at. We searched for about 2 hours and asked everyone questions, but nobody knew anything. All my DH could remember was there were pig statues by the elevator!HA!

Kimberly

Has Disney mentioned anything about a new ship being built? I would soooo be there! Hurry up Disney!

Kimberly

AND, after touring the Walt Disney Suite, I will continue to play the lottery! I want that suite!!!!! Okay, I am done for now! You guys are the only thing continuing to keep me dragging on! And I almost cried when I saw Georgie's countdown saying 00 days 00 hours 00 minutes until our cruise. BOO HOO!

PETER - how can you mention that dirty word......... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I got the pins too and AM SO GLAD I don't "collect" anymore. I used to be so bad - Besides the ones on the ship, I bought only about 6 between WDW and DL this time. Only got one at DL

In the "old days" I would have spent probably thousands of dollars on them. I am a much happier camper now, tho. I am not joking about that at all.

People will start putting them up on e-bay shortly. I actually think most of them will end up in dresser drawers and never to be seen for a long time by their owners - for the ones who don't know what they really purchased. They wanted them only because of the challenges that went on - on the ship.

Actually, I wanted them for the memory value -- but was unwilling to go through the challenge of getting them! Way too much difficulty to juggle the kids and standing (sleeping) in line to get them. So, I have 2 Captains Choice pins and that's it.

I really wonder what they will do on the return cruise. How I wish they just made 875 of each pin and put it in each stateroom.

Finally home. This stinks! Anyways, took the red eye out last night, had a great time at DL/DCA and of course DCL. Thanks to everyone for making this such a great trip!
At the end of the cruise Jeff and I found out there had been a magnet thief on deck 7. If you had yours stoeln, please PM me with your info and I will mail you a new one.
Tootles for now!

An extra $100 per person for the cost of the cruise, and no one would have been the wiser... One complete set of the port pins per person... I hope it is easier for the next repro cruise... we only wanted ours for the sentimental value too

Our memories of sharing this cruise with everyone are indeed priceless. Passing in the hallways, in the shows, seminars and during dining and shouting a big "Hi!" felt wonderful!

Guess I better clean up my profile and take the the Panama Canal Cruise off! :guilty:

Hi Guys,

Got home last night and the pups were very glad top see us. Our yard looks like the Panama Rain Forrest Jungle, didn’t think it would have grown soo much. Need to get mail etc and get ready for work tomorrow.

Where to start on the unpacking??? Laundry??? Etc. Etc. Etc.

Mostly and big thanks to one and all for making this such a great experience, I am sure we will meet again on future cruises, and DL and WDW visits. What a great trip it was.

THAT TOTALLY STINKS -----------

Guess they started on the 6th deck and then went to dec 7. What are they going to do with them. It had our names on them????? :confused3 :confused3

I know what you mean Jenn - we took the red eye home on Monday night. It was a little rough - but it went quickly. There was no one in the seat between us and that made it very nice. We had a little extra room.

Delta got my chair home in one piece. They didn't even break it down and fold it down. They carried it down the stairs by the ramp in LAX and brought it back up the elevator in Ft. Lauderdale. I WAS GREATLY SURPRISED.

Does anyone know of any of our group that got to go up to CBS Studios and go to the Price is Right????? IF SO, I HOPE THEY GET ON STAGE and WIN, WIN WIN

On Monday we went to CBS area and the Farmer's Market and walked (rode) around and got lunch before going to LAX. I love that place. It really hasn't changed in many years, but still nice to go and see the many things they have there.

The roads were good to follow this time. Never made a wrong turn and got to where we wanted quickly. Saw only one accident and an SUV was upside down and a patrol car was pushing it off to the side of the Hwy. 5 so that traffic could continue.

Scott, our yard is also rain forest material. My DH got rained out yesterday so went home to mow it. He said he made it about 10 feet and the mower blew up! :rotfl2: Not really funny, but I said after the mower saw the grass, its so surprise it just keeled over and died!

Kimberly

We also have the rainforest for a yard. it's amazing how much the stuff grows...

It's raining here, but warm unlike most of the time spent in DL...
Pups were happy to see me, Copper has no voice from barking at the pup resort, Josie has slimmed down from all the running around

Welcome Home Everyone!

I just wanted to post to say THANK YOU to everyone who dropped something off at our door. And THANK YOU for our Door Magnet and Fish Extender, it made our door easy to find, even for our DS (who turned 2 today!).

I met a couple of you guys at the group DIS Tea, which was very Yummy. But we mostly kept to ourselves on this trip. It was wonderful for us to have pretty much 14 days of family time. We didn't wear our lanyards much, with DS in our arms most of the time it was a bit dangerous to hang them around our necks ;).
All the gifts are a nice reminder of the wonderful trip we had.
Thank You.

Hi Everyone,

We are back home now also. Totally exhausted.

It was so great meeting all of you.

Thanks for all the great gifts. It was so much fun, every time we come back to the cabin to find all the goodies on the fish (or extender..lol).

Bob and Cheryl
