Yes, I know how much they make out of school...I have a bachelors degree and still probably make less....(went to Umass Amherst- out your way).

I laugh....I can save your life- but I can't clean your teeth! Please don't take this that I think that I'm better than a hygenist- because I really don't. I just feel it shows how nurses are undervalued- and so is health in America.

I know I could make more money working in other fields- like computers...which I am interested in. HOWEVER- you can't do everything for money and nurse is VERY rewarding.....you get to be with people in their most intimate moments-birth, death, and sickness. I love to see people get better and go home- and know that I had a part in it. It's hard to explain.

However, if I had to be honest- part of the reason I am going to grad school is money....and more autonomy.

Shew! Finally got on the website and reserved tea and brunch. Couldn't get brunch for the day we wanted, so we went with a backup plan. Got tea for the day and time we wanted, but I had to lie and say there'd be 3-4 people instead of 1-2. Hopefully we can remedy that when we get on the ship. Shhhhhh . . .

Shew! That was stressful!!!

I am not doing the lunch one. Just the shopping, divers and the fort.

Got our reservation this morning the website seemed to work well much better than waiting in line on the ship.

Oh sleepy, sleepy nurse...
ever notice how many of us have to take stuff to sleep....I'm a benadryl girl...or soma if my back hurts.

I hate to publically admit this- I took a soma the other night after working the weekend as my back was killing me...I got up to go to the bathroom. I remember how tired I was getting....then I was on the floor! I tripped over my DSL wire and got a nice abrasion on my right knee...

No wonder they tell you not to operate heavy machinery on that stuff!

WOW- my real true respons was holy *&(&! Wow...24- I'd be in a coma. I'm a once at night- two maybe three days a week.

They make me SOOOO sleepy- but they do help me rest and feel better in the morning. My MD wants me to try accupuncture when I return from the cruise....

Managed to get our Brunch and spa ressie's...could not get the tea for my Mom but will try once onboard.

Yes, the new website is so cool!!! But, I made the Palo reservation for the wrong night! Can you believe it? I tried to call DCL and see if they could check to see if the night I want (May 20) was available before I cancelled the night I already booked. She said she had NO ACCESS to the stuff we had access to!?? And, she could not tell be what was available.....

Of course, I asked a bunch of other questions and she knew NOTHING. Said she didn't know the formal nights or anything else. Couldn't tell me what time we enter / exit the canal. Basically she was useless.

I called back to see if I may change my stateroom. Of course, got the same answers... you booked through a TA, so you have to call them. ugh.

Janis, I was surprised I could access our reservation as we are on DVC points. So maybe DVC will follow suit. I will admit I like the contact with a person at MS.

Panama Canal excursions on the new web site.... for those of you who may be wondering what that gibberish is...

Apparently, it is just that... gibberish. I must admit, it is certainly more creative than the "testing 1234" that I use in my code and definitely more intriguing that just leaving a blank area.

I'm sure Disney's web masters are having a great day today trying to keep the site up and running... good thing they don't have to contend with running the Disboards too.. because this thread certainly spiked last night! You've got to give DCL credit for the fact that they've done a note worthy upgrade of features on the site. I only wish DVC would have given us some interactivity when they revamped their web site last year. Considering the registration process we had to do for the DVC site, DCL is remarkably easy.

Here's hoping that DVC manages to get more of a web development budget.

To all you frequent cruisers out there... I'm really amazed that you all are shocked that the DCL cast members don't have a lot of answers. In fact, I'm more shocked at some of the details that some of you have managed to extract.. though I'm still expecting that everything we've heard is and will most likely be subject to change. All the Disney divisions have the same problem. The Internet has turned out to be the best resource to find out what is going on and most of the time cast members find out about things "officially" long after the public knows. Really kind of sad.

You have to retrieve your reservation. After you do that, you'll be able to go to Cruise Plans and add your Palo reservations . . .
