According to another site (can I quote which one?) here is the list of TV stations currently available.

11 View from the Bridge
12 Bridge Report
13 Voyage Map
14 Shopping Talks
15 Date / Time
16 What's Afloat
17 Shore Excursions
18 ABC
19 CNN Headline News
20 CNN
21 Special Events
22 ESPN
23 ESPN-2
24 Disney Channel
25 Toon Disney
26 Music Video
27 Shows from the Walt Disney Theater
28 Disney Company Clips
29 Disney Vacation Club
30 Sitcom Channel
31 - 36 Movies
38 Disney Classics

Some of these channels are new to me. Although, we haven't sailed since January, 2003. If memory serves me right, ABC is out of New York. Many stations get blocked out in ports and for other "strange" reasons.

If you are looking to catch your favorite season finale, VCR or TiVo is probably a better option. What to do when there are two on at the same time? :scratchin

Wait... where is Fox!!! I can't miss American Idol!!!!

Still here, Bob.
9:20PM and all is well.......
Just saw that the Pacers lost. Oh well. At least they are in the playoffs.
Kay , did you hear yet on the other screensaver from Tiptoen?
I am sure it is the one with "Can you wish upon a star?".
It is a classic and a must.
Do you guys have a DCL screensaver? It is cool and doesn't seem to have any viruses, that I can detect.

No virus, but for some reason there is a conflict with the screensaver and the virus checker/protection. I have a different screensaver that does the samething. Oh, so much conflict!

618 hours until we shoveoff!

Went to bed an got up again - not another sleepless night. Ugh !!!!!!
Didn't hear anyt;hing from Tiptoen. Wonder why he didn't respond. Maybe he doesn't signon every day.

Funny thing - when I left home this morning to run errands, and of course, computer stays on 24/7 - and when I got by home - I heard this Disney music all the way from the front door. Couldn't understand where it was coming from. Walked towards the TV room where computer is and the Screensaver was running and the beautiful music from it. Had to turn the volume down on the buffers, they were so loud.

Really is a nice Screensaver - my picture album doesn't do the slide show now, but I know they are there and I'll switch back and forth, from time to time.

You guys should get the Screensaver, it is really cool. Walks you through the whole ship, mostly the Wonder and some of the Magic.

Going back to bed and watch TV until I get sleepy... maybe :confused3 No virus - it got by my three firewalls and 2 other guards I have on.

Okay Linda, I just went through the Passport to Disney Magic booklet that came with my cruise documents and you are right...it says nothing about pirate night. It does list 5 special evenings:

TROPICALifragilisticexpialidocious Dinner (Eastern Caribbean Itinerary)
MEXICALifragilisticexpialidocious Dinner (Western Caribbean Itinerary)
Around the World Dinner
The "Best of" Dinner
Captain's Gala Dinner

So I guess it will just be us DisBoard people dressed up like pirates!!!!!!!

Elaine

Okay, then........well who needs cruise documents anyway? That means that Karaeric/disneypindiva/kpros/spros and seaulater..........we just don't need them anyway, we will just use the ones from Christmas.

And you would think with all the $$$$ they are hauling in they could at least put an insert into the documents, but then that's probably asking too much of them, isn't it? They can't even figure out how to release the LE pins!

Not sure if Linda or Scott (or Lynn) has weighed in yet, but today was beautiful in Cheyenne!! I'm one of the few that has AC in our work trucks, and I had it on, with the passenger window cracked a bit. Its days like this that I love to work outside.....the rest of the week is supposed to be rainy....doesn't bode well for an easy work week when that happens! Pretty cold overnight lows but no snow on the forecast as of now...

Kelli

No A/C for us. 44 degrees and raining all day, sending to Cheyenne, don't want you to feel left out!

DH, DS, and I get in late Thursday night before the cruise...we plan on going to DTD and doing all of our shopping so we can ship it home before Sat.
I'm sure the AP discount will be useful with all the great retro stuff they have!

Anyone have any suggestions for shipping. There isn't a post office on property is there? (I'm sure we can find on on their web site that is close by)

Thanks!

If you spend enough in one place, have them ship it to you at your home address. You don't have to pay sales tax that way and haul the stuff around!

Linda

Ok, one more before heading to bed.... :goodvibes

I was poking around the Panama Canal Web cam http://www.seacruisechat.com/panamacanal/ and near the bottom is link to photos of 3 ships that went through the canal on one day in 2001

http://www.seacruisechat.com/panama/canalcam.htm

It looks like you better have your drapes closed while going through the canal!!! I think there are 6 pages. On one of the pages near the end, read about the lady from Sea Cruise that was aboard and they had the cameraman search her out! It was cool :cool1:

I don't get it (no pun intended), we live 1.5 miles apart, you received docs and have dancing banana and we have Bupkis.... Life is simply not fair.

Where's my lawyer....

Never thought about this before... but do they have shipping from the ship??? Well I know they don't actually ship it FROM the ship... but do they offer shipping??

Lynda: If you ever want to do something where Cash can't go.. we would be happy to doggie sit. ie: The oceanrider thing in Acapulco. Of course he will be horribly spoiled by the time you get back.... ;)

Thanks, Leslie...but ever since he has taken on the job of protecting my balance we've been joined at the hip, so to speak. If he can't go, I can't go and I need him so I can walk safely...He takes his job very seriously. I don't think he'd happily stay behind......not even with such a devoted doggie lover as yourself and he would not be very good company.....We tried that at the new WDW space ride...One member of the party stayed with him and I went on the ride. When I returned for him he was frothing at the mouth and very agitated...

awwwww...poor baby.. he just worried about you. I understand... just a thought. :teeth: I know I am going to have serious separation anxiety being away from our babies for so long. Meanwhile they'll probably be having a ball at the pet resort and obedience boot camp!

I wish Ollie, kitty, felt that way about kitty reform school...Every time I get her home she wails and squalls like I had her tied out for buzzards to pick over. I never heard such language from a cat. All for $300.00. I'm going to ask the vet to be a little more careful about the upbringing of the feline they choose to bunk next to her...That riff-raff language is just too much!

Congrats to you lucky recipients of documents, Kevin, me thinks you are the victim of a practical joke, just a feeling. Well that would be better than the hassle of a DCL printing mistake.

Yes, a practical joke of epic proportions was brewing, but unravelled very quickly once Kevin got home. Only one set of documents came today for me. There is nothing for Kevin. I will have to call DCL in the morning. Interesting foul up. But I promise, I'm not abandoning anyone at the peir or setting up an elaborate scheme to obtain insurance money. :confused3

Lynda, don't worry, Cash will not go hungry.

Steve, I've heard your singing, it's pretty bad. :scared1: No American Idol for you.

And I heard myself exclaim, as I let the dogs out for the night, "Happy Cruising to all, and to all a good night."

It took a while to read through the 40+ pages of posts since we left for the weekend but I think I'm finally caught up! We just got back from our first Jimmy Buffett concert in San Jose, CA. We had a great time but unfortunately didn't get a chance to meet anyone from Disboards. I hope Kara, Eric, and Michael (Prince Charming) had a great time as well!

After wrestling through the crowd of inebriated Parrotheads to get to the souvenir stands, I think I'm finally ready to deal with the chaos of buying pins on the Magic!

I'm jealous of everyone who got their docs. Congrats! For some reason mail seems to take longer to get to our neck of the woods than anywhere else on the planet (except for those bills, of course!)

Thanks for the link to the Google map for L.A. If you want to see something really cool, do a search for Port Canaveral, FL. It goes to the port. Zoom in all the way and check out the ship to the far left. It might look familiar!

Anyway, I found this neat timelapse video of the Panama Canal. This was taken from the bridge of the Radiance of the Seas. It is a little over 6MB so it may take a while if you have a slow connection.

Enjoy!

Oh yeah, almost forgot - I haven't received a read receipt from either PM I sent to DVC Minnie regarding our late seating being linked. Dining with other Dizzers was something we were really looking forward to. I contacted DCL this morning and they confirmed we haven't been linked with anyone else yet.

If anyone with late seating would like to join us, I can call DCL and link our reservations together. I'm thinking a table for 8 or 10 would be nice. Please PM me with your reservation number, cabin number, and names if you are interested!
