How are people planning on distributing the sail away gifts? Are we just going to be running around introducing ourselves and passing them out?
Thanks!!!

We are planning on giving out gifts at the sailaway, two per cabin. I plan on sitting with a glass of wine and tag team with my DW to meet others and pass out gifts. Might even take two glasses of wine. Alex :flower::flower: :flower:

Just got back from a two night trip with our crew. We only took 3 outfits for the kids and 2 for DH and myself- and our bag was 50 pounds..... How the heck am I going to get enough clothes for the cruise into bags we can reasonably shlep into the airport with three preschool/infant children?? I'm thinking we bring enough clothes for a 5 day trip and plan on doing laundry twice. With the kids clothes, we can't reasonably expect to go more than 3 or 4 days without washing anyway. My 3 yr old is very fond of both ketchup and the shirt = napkin theory, so if I wait any longer I might as well just throw the clothes out. This is not going to be easy! :sad2:

This is post 153.

Debbie, Kay, I have my sights set on you two.
Bill :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :hourglass

Wow! I had a lot of catching up to do this morning!

Caved in and bought my flippy floppy blinkie thingies. Can't wait to see us all in these.

Just thought I'd post this link for anyone who subscribes to Disney Magazine.

Disney Magazine no more

Makes me sad. :sad1: I have every issue since I started subscribing 20 or so years ago.

I went shopping today for cruise clothes. I almost bought a new dress because it matched my light up flippy floppies. I didn't really like the dress but it was black and pink like the sandals. I need an intervention!!!

Lesley,
Remind me to NEVER send you shopping with my 14 yr. old DD (unless of course you're paying)

I've been trying to talk her into getting a pair of light up flippie floppies with me. I was laughing at your post, she came over read it and said "ooh, if they have black and pink ones I'll get a pair, we just need to go back and get that cute swim suit I saw to go with them."

Yea that's it. Lets go pick up the $70+ swim suit as an accessory purchase to go with the $7 flippy floppies. What a deal.

OK Emily, I have not been too worried about the whole packing thing yet.... but now I think I'd better get out the scale and do a test run with the weight thing. If you're having a tough time fitting in little guy stuff - I can just imagine how I'll fare with teenage DD's.
Might have to start putting together that shipping box after all.

Sheesh, I thought I had been posting a ton and I just broke 100 with this one!

Was just wondering If anyone is intrested in this ??
i know alot have other things planned if there is a list going i will add it to the Daily update ..? Peter

I sent Tony a PM about this one.
I was going to do the shotover thing, but when I read Roberto's description of the smell... decided that was a no go for me. He toned it down a bit for us here on the Dis - but I had seen his thread on cruise critic earlier and it sounded pretty yucky. I figured this might be a good alternative.

Still wish river rafting was an option... but my disappointment was pretty short lived since:

We're all going on a 14 day Disney cruise in less than 4 weeks!

Over the weekend I emailed my TA asking about my documents....they go to her- then to me..... :confused3

This is the first time I transferred over my reservation to a TA rather than doing it all myself..... :sad2:

I just have to remind myself that the $200.00 discount was worth it.
:cheer2:

I hope you all get your documents soon....

Is the wine tasing happening before AND on the ship or just before????
While I don't drink.....DH might enjoy this.

Hi eveyone....
I'm calling on the knowledge of the former cruisers who have tried this...

I know there is snorkeling at Castaway....
On this post I saw you could get the vest for free at the family beach.

Does that mean if you have your own gear - you can snorkel in their area by the family beach for free?

I have always wondered that and have never wanted to pack it---in case I couldn't use it.

Our son is finally old enough---we are planning on going in Cabo.
Although he can't swim- he likes the idea of looking under water and has gear.

Maybe I could finally see the Mickey of the deep---while my husband watches Noah.

:teeth:

Yes if you have your own gear you get a life vest from them and can use the snorkel area for Free, we have done it many time.

OK just one last post this morning (gotta get my count up) then I've gotta log off and get busy!
Can't wait to check back in tonight to see if there are any more doc dances happening though.

Talked to Bob about MP3 thingies and am thinking about getting one, might be nice for running and walking, limited knowledge here on my part. Open for input.

We got the girls i-pod mini's for Christmas.
My techie friend said I could get a much better MP3 for less money if I went with another brand.
But you've seen the blinkie flippy floppy phenomenon at work here... same deal with teens and i-pods.
They are pretty stylin'. :teeth:
They have been great, in fact I'm going to get one for myself. I'm sticking with an i-pod just to keep everything compatible.
We got the girls cables so they can play their song lists on their stereo systems too. Works great!

Tom I am just glad you are doing the driving cause I will get lost

Liz and Camilo :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Wow...you guys were busy over the weekend :flower:

Went to the beach this weekend...the weather turned out nice. Got DH clothes for the cruise and picked up a few things for myself. Went home and put the new stuff in the suitcase and weighed it....50lbs exactly :earseek:

Last night was the first night without DH :sad1: Didn't sleep that well. Hopefully he can come home this weekend but I doubt it. Gotta save money and the trip home would cost about $50 round trip :sad2: So I probably won't see him until next month.

Well...I hope others get to do the document dance today :wizard:

I'll check back in later to see who the next lucky person is :cheer2:

Liz,

Hopefully we drive slow enough that Lenny can keep up. See living in CA for 17 years finally paid off.

I would KILL to be on one of these acquatic excursions, but I worry about falling off/out... or losing Cash....
