Okay...I have a couple of questions about the "What to bring" list:

1) Water shoes....do I really need these?
2) Sweater/jacket....for those who have cruised before, does it get chilly in the shows?
3) Is the shower that bad in the room? DH and I had heard to use the gym showers for a better wash.
4) I am bringing disposable cameras for DD...does Shutters develop on board?

Water shoes are nice to wear aboard boats for excersions (good traction and easy to toss in a bucket if no shoes worn on boat) or to the beach (easy to wash sand out of water shoes than sneakers).

Many areas on the ship are cold especially for thin blooded Floridians.

The showers are OK, just a bit tight.

Shutters definitly develops film on board, not sure of the price but I don't think it's unreasonable.

He was the guy who did Margaritaville, apart from that dont know much about him ,I dont think he's that popular in the UK

Yes, the theaters are COLD :cold: (for me!) As a thin-blooded NJ-ian (who likes the ORANGE Airborne), I am always cold in the theater. I do think there are certain seats which are directly beneath the AC vents ( And... I always seem to find them  )

krdisneybound: I'm glad the packing list for the razors was updated to include women! :rotfl:

Kevin&Randall: Just to set the record straight on my Airborne preference... neither the orange nor the lime flavor is something I look forward to tasting! ;) As long as the tablet gets the job done, I will drink it down! That being said... the orange is still better than the lime with all the little pieces of brown bits floating about! :scared1: (I do hope you know I'm kidding through all of this!!! ::yes:: )

Being the well educated medical scientist that I am,,,,,,,,,What the heck is airborne?

Dear Mr. Scientist:

If I'm not mistaken, Airborne is a drink you take so that you don't get a cold. It was developed by a teacher who got sick of getting sick from her kids.

Right, everyone??? It comes in lime and another flavor (original??) - Geez, don't even remember what I ordered.. :confused3

I ordered 3 packages last week - and that is when I got very sick for the past 10 days - LOL -

Now that I am finally getting better, it will probably come in the mail the first of the week.

Apparently it works great

Hey wait - no one said anything about the little pieces of brown bits floating. Anyone want to take mine off my hands now. They are yours :scared:

Bill it is a mix of herbs and vitamins in an effervescent tablet. It is getting great reviews. A little Echinacea, zinc, Vit C , Chinese stuff, Vit E, naprosine, mag, ginger, and some other stuff I can not pronounce or spell.

Oh I forgot the secret brown bits, from the lost islands of pango tango. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think I would like the orange myself, will be working on getting the fizz out.

Scott: you have to be reading that off the package. Who can remember all that???? Confess

I just love giving you guys some grief......
I just went to a complementary medicine lecture yesterday at the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis. It was by a dude from a big research program that was doing investigations into cardiac trouble. He also does research into complementary and alternative medicine. It was good.
Keep it up with the airborne. My wife and I as internists are also taking supplements (which shall remain nameless so as to avoid any hint of giving medical council). I can tell you in private.
I also have a patient that is incredibly into supplements. He even asked to measure his own aluminum level and then fixed it with supplements. (It was too high).
Bill

We are kinda into the natural stuff so most of it was a known. The Chinese stuff is unknown to me. Bill have you ever seen or used the Natural PDR?? Not sure of the real name?

While I could not find if Jimmy has ever visited, he does get played some there and he does have a following.

I found the "zesty orange" flavor at my local Walmart. I bought one package to try. However, I have been a little hesitant because of the amount of vitamin C 1,000mg per serving (1 tablet) Package states to take every 3 hours as needed. I don't know if it is just me, but I suffer from gastro problems with too much vitamin C. I suppose drinking once a day would not cause problems, but every three hours?

For all you "regular" users, how often do you drink this stuff?

Every year my doctor asks what medications I am taking. I always reply that I take Glucosimine/Chondroitin w/MSM (like our dog). I always get the eye roll and the "hmmmmm".
Don't know about other supplements/herbs, but I know that this works for me and Tippy. Woof!

Well we're back from WDW, the weather stunk on Thursday (anniversary) but got better Friday afternoon. Had an amazing dinner at Jiko on Thursday, another at Narcoosee's on Friday and a great one today at Spoodles. Actually saw a movie at the AMC in DTD, I was not impressed with the theater, but Robots was an okay movie, good for a rainy afternoon.

Friday was a great day. We got to ride Soarin in early testing. The Land Pavillion is still closed so they took us backstage to let us into the building, so there was no preshow, we just walked through the "terminal" and onto the concourse. Amazing amazing show/ ride.

We did DiveQuest at the Living Seas again. If you do it try to go on a Thursday or a Friday, Mike M works then and he is the best! He really goes out of his way for you. He also works full time at KSC as a ground tester.

Today was a zoo at the Kingdom. Rode Small World which looks much better with the new paint and layout. Also tried the Noodle Station in Tomorrowland and it has quickly become my favorite counter service. The prices are good for all the food you get. Plus they has multiple varities of tea available.

We stayed at a freshly rehab'd room at DXL. Nice job with the rehabs, has a new fridge in there with us. Nice touch and well appreciated.

Jeff and I will update the lists tomorrow, we're pretty beat...

Bob,
DH is also on the Glucosiminie/Chondroitin, as is our dog, Nikko!! DH swears by this stuff in the liquid form (can't remember the name of it! :) ), the dog likes the pill form!

Well tomorrow is SPRING!!! :jumping1: We can only hope the weather reflects it :)

We went through our cruise stuff today. I think we have more "stuff" than clothing :rotfl: Definately going to ship a box on down. It will make things easier on my back.

Debbie

Our first day of Spring forecast is 80% chance of rain, temperatures in the 30's, A couple days ago this was to start as snow...I'll take the rain anyday over snow ::yes:: (will March showers bring May flowers? :flower: )

I'm positive I will be shipping stuff down, just hope it makes it to the stateroom okay? How much in advance are they saying to ship the stuff?

Robin

Scott, I don't think I 've heard of it. I have a great reference at the office and I'll try to remember to look it up.
Bob, lots of docs here use glucosamine, usually in doses of about 1500 mg. The lecturer yesterday said , and it is what I thought, that there doesn't appear to be any evidence that chondroitin has any significant effect. I don't usually tell people to take it. Lots of the ortho guys use glucosamine. Lots of the over the counter preps have the combo. I probably should take it since I am 47 and the joints aren't the same after the last 10 years of Taekwondo. P.S. DAN means "Black Belt level" in Korean.
What else,,,,,,,,,HMMMMMMM,,,,, Enough ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZthud.
