In the email they sent me it included a UPS tracking number. They said delivery on the 7th, but I got mine on the 4th! I would call them to get the tracking number.

Okay, to save the long distance call for everyone, I talked to Kelly and she gave me all the information and said I could share so that way everyone doesn't have to call her! She did say she had received quite a few calls today about that "5/14" sailing. She said "there must be something special going on." If she only knew...................

To ship a package to the Disney Magic:

Address Package to:

Disney Cruise Lines
9001 Marlin Street
Cape Canaveral, FL 32920

bottom left corner of package put the following information:
ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
STATEROOM #: xxxx (GTY if you don't know your # when you send pkg.)
PASSENGER NAME: NAME OF PASSENGER ON RESERVATION
VESSEL: DISNEY MAGIC
DATE OF SAIL: 5/14/05
NUMBER OF BOX(ES) (I.E. 1 OF 1 or 1 OF 2 AND 2 OF 2; SO ON AND SO FORTH)

She said you can ship as early as you want and you can ship it anyway you want (Fed Ex., UPS, US Parcel Post, Slow boat from China). All you have to do is pay the shipping costs to get it to DCL, they do the rest.

She said they do this as a service so they don't have pi**ed off passengers schlepping all their luggage onto the boat (why didn't they tell me this for the 10 day Christmas Cruise?)

The box(es) will magically appear in your stateroom on May 14, 2005!

There you have it! Hope this gives everyone the information they need so we don't have to pay the airlines for being over our weight limit!! (alot less expensive than what the airlines charge).

Linda :moped: (my new transportation to the boat since I no longer need a U-Haul!)

Hi everyone,

Has anyone going on this cruise been credited with a statroom credit for the Panama cruise for booking or moving a reservation from a prior cruise ?

We made a reservation for a spring cruise in 05 ( planning to change if they were going to do the Panama trip) while on a fall cruise in 03, that way we would get the early booking discount and the statroom credit. When Disney opened up the dates for Panama we had our TA change the reservation to the Panama trip. This was done the 1st hr reservations opened up. Now Disney says that no they are not giving any stateroom credits for the Panama trip, Anyone have anything different to say ???

I would like to push on this issue as I was upfront with reservations from the beginning on what I planned to do...

Thanks, Kim

Hi Kim :wave2: I was also in the fiasco with DU. I originally booked with DCL onboard and was promised the reservation could be changed for the Panama cruise and my 10% off and $200 onboard credit would move right along with me. Well, DU had to make a new reservation due to the urgency of the bookings that first day, and DCL would not budge on moving the credits. It really stunk what DCL did, but DU came through with more than flying colors, and honored out of their pocket the 10% and $200 credit.

I just don't get why DCL did this. I know speaking for myself, my bill at the end of a 7 day is so thick it almost doesn't fit under the door! Even with the $200 credit, my billing is near $1.000.00 on a 7 day, imagine what it will be a the 14 night? They are making so much money off each of us, the $200 they make back instantly.

Good luck Kim!

Linda,

Thanks for all the information! For a minute I thought this was a great idea, as my sailaway gifts will be in a 9 pound package (or so the company making them says). This will really add to my carryon/baggage weight, but......what if this is not delivered to the stateroom in time for the sailaway parties?

I am giving one gift per stateroom, sorry, but this has run into a bit of money :wizard: I suppose if the box is not delivered until later, I can run around and deliver to the "fish"? (Oh what to do?)

Robin

Is the info great here or what!!!!

Thanks Linda

As you say if she only knew :)

I can't imagine what my bill will be on the 14 day....I managed to spend over $1,400 on the 4 day cruise!!!!!!

Well, maybe we can all file a "class action" bankruptcy - when we get home :rotfl2: :grouphug:

Is there a lawyer in the house?? :rotfl:

Leslie,
We just shipped a case to a friend in FL as a house-warming gift. A friend who works at a winery gave us a box that has styrofoam in it for shipping vino! Works great! :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1
Exactly! My father works at a winery, so he has basically unlimited access to the shipper boxes with the styrofoam to keep the wine safe. Love it!

Yikes! Wait until we're all in the "document" waiting mode. Then we will all be standing at the ends of our driveways hoping that we have the fastest UPS/FedEx driver in the fleet! :moped:

Hi Kara: This is Shari. Is there any limitation about shipping wine into Florida?

Okay... since there are no local wineries here in Coral Springs... anybody have any other ideas? Can you buy these wonderful boxes anywhere? I usually don't ship wine... if it makes it to the house... it usually doesn't last too long...LOL :drinking1:drinking1:drinking1 Wine is GOOD for you now don't you know!!:rotfl:

Got our Mickey Phones on friday and they almost imediately took their place next to the Mickey lamp and the Mickey alarm clock on the Mickey endtable. I'm sure they will be more than comfortable with their new friends.:)
Your e-mail should have contained a tracking number. If you have that, go to the UPS tracking website and it will tell where the phones are.

We also got our coconut friday. Chocolate Soufle. Mmmmmmmm.
Great way to start the weekend.
