Hey, we have a connection already...
We lived in Boise for a couple of years - I thought I'd hate it there, but ended up loving it and didn't want to leave!
We're in AZ now - but full time. Not smart enough to get out during the summer I guess.

I went to Meridian High School. We lived right by Capitol High School though. My parent's lived there from 1975-2004 when we (my brother, sister and I and my dad too) finally got my mom to put the house up for sale and in October they moved to Meridian and bought in a planned unit development a home 1/2 the size of what our old house was!

That was going to be my new question - at 50 feet or so, I would think a flash would be critical. I've used the Kodak disposibles (without flash) up to about 15 feet with OK results. But like you said, we shouldn't expect much from anything this cheap if we are deeper.

Hey Linda. Having done a diving excursion with DCL before, I can tell you the dive operators know that we are coming from a cruise ship, so they will provide pretty much everything you would need, though some of it may be for an extra cost. I believe that wet suits, for instance, would be an extra cost that you would pay directly to the dive operator.

We are bringing our own wet suits, fins, masks and snorkels. The BC's, tanks, and regulators are definitely included in the price. I believe fins are also included. Not sure about mask and snorkels since we always bring our own.

Masks are like footwear...you really want to try them on before you buy because everyone's face is shaped differently. I would not recommend Ebay for the mask, just my 2 cents. Fins and snorkels may be safer...

Yeah, that's my guess to. Okay, I am stupid here, but he already does have a mask and snorkel. Do you use the same kind of mask and snorkel for diving as you do for snorkeling or are diving masks different?

Well, I have started to pack. Plus I found out yesterday that I will most likely be packing up my house as well. We will place it on the market in late April.

I got my Zazzle order yesterday. The shirts look great. Only one problem...they only sent me two of my three shirts. So I have e-mailed them about this little problem.

I did the same thing in Europe. Had a 30 day Eurail pass and carried everything needed for a month in a backpack. Of course we didn't have formals, pirate gear, etc. and those clothes were definitely tossed, and needed to be, the minute we got back to campus in London!

Kara's advice about masks is good. The smae mask used for diving can be used for snorkeling, just make sure it is a tempered glass lense.

Finally got my DD's costume in the mail today. It was a dress purchased outside of WDW's Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. I got it off of ebay. The problem is that it is TOO SMALL! Anyone have a number of someone at WDW that can help me with park merchandise? Need to see if they still sell this in a bigger size!

I know this will come as a complete surprise to everyone, but one of my interests is improv comedy. Since DCL took the improv out of Off-Beat, it's up to us to bring improv back to the Magic. So, I'll be "hosting" some improv games on one of the at sea days TBD. Anyone interested? No experience necessary. It's just for fun. Audience members needed, too, but a minimum drink requirement may be imposed to enhance the comedic value of participants.

Seaulater = Disboard Navigator for this cruise. Now, I'm not coming up with an original idea here, but credit goes to Mark and Mary from the 10 day Christmas Cruise who made the Navigator and delivered to everyone's "fish" for when they arrived at their stateroom door.

I will make up the navigator (for everything we have scheduled prior to the cruise), print, bring, and deliver to everyone. I will also bring extras for the sailaway party(ies).
What Mary did is post the Navigator before we left on her website and then people could print out if they wanted.
So here's what it will list:
1. People's names; location and whether they are playing tag or not..
2. Each day and the schedule of disboard activities for that day.
3. A place for Notes
4. Anything else that might be deemed important.

NejTheLion = I was thinking about offering to put together a DVD of the cruise - collecting photos and possibly video footage from the cruisers afterwards, making some music videos, slideshows, etc. I'm in the process of desiging and putting up a website doing this, already having done quite a few for assorted family functions. I can make them all spiffy - real cases, color covers, direct color printing on the discs. Ron Jons and the Radisson, no official meets have been Set up as of yet but Look for folks all day around the pool area's also several others at the Airport hyatt and plans are in works.

I have not had much luck finding Pirate gear for my DD. She wants to be a pretty pirate - Sheesh! (I'm assuming your dress is for pirate night... based on where it was purchased)
