Happy Easter All!
No Easter egg hunts here... maybe a few virtual ones :cloud9: If only I could find that golden egg..... :goodvibes

Chat was fun.

We should schedule another one on ennisb's room. It was fun! Maybe next Saturday.

Welcome Aphoenix! Sounds like you'll fit in here real well.
I think everyone is all excited about this cruise. I bought a couple of items for the cruise this weekend. Haven't started packing. Will do that the last week.
I work best under pressure. :cool1:

That's my packing plan as well, except you may have a head start of a few days on me!

Sorry I missed chat.
DD's kindergarten hatched baby chicks in the classroom a couple weeks ago and she talked me into volunteering to bring one home and take care of it until they were to meet and return them to the farmer (yesterday evening)
Quite the drama happening with all the little ones saying goodbye and handing over their chicks! Interesting timing... having them go back the day before Easter. It was OK though, don't tell Cammi - but I was thrilled that exchange day was here! Can't believe how quickly the little guy grew, how much noise he could make, how quickly he could run when we let him out, and how darn often his box needed cleaning - Bleech!

So you really think there will still be some route changes made Peter?
Hmmm interesting. Wish I had been there to get the scoop.

Gulliver looks great in his Easter gear!

Have a great day all!

Hi everyone

I just finished updating my name badge file with our lastest cruisers (epjenk, nitrame and aphoenix). As of right now, we have 259 people in the name badge file.

It appears that the following cruiser are either to bashful to participate on the thread and/or are no longer on the cruise:

dianthus, BEAV, CoMickey, and PortSideMom

These folks are not in the name badge file and are not included in the 259 total. If you have any info about them, please let me know.

FYI - the name badges will come in a clear plastic badge holder that is big enough to hold your Key to the World card behind the name badge. And each badge will come with a custom one of a kind (well, actually a 300 of a kind) lanyard with the "Kingdom to Kingdom" logo and the sailing date printed on both sides of the lanyard.

Name badges/lanyards will be available at the terminal while we are standing in line (you'll just have to find me - I will be wearing a name badge and lanyard). We expect to get there early. They will also be available at the 3:00pm DISboard meet on deck 10.

Ken

Welcome Tony and family! :wave2: Be careful going into Atlanta today, they are having some pretty bad storms. With all the traveling you are doing between now and the cruise the time should fly by for you!

No packing for me yet....but I admit to having my "cruise corner" where I keep putting things that will ultimately packed :teeth:

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? :earseek: I thought we had about 190?!?!?!? Are there really that many new people? YIKES!!!!

Kelli

Oh Ken, the lanyards sound wonderful! Thanks so much for all your hard work on these! Regarding CoMickey, I remember many months ago she posted that her fiance was going overseas and she was going to cancel the cruise. Haven't seen her post since?

After lurking for several months, I figure I should finally get around to posting.

This is going to be our third DCL trip. Our first was two years ago, for the WDCC Convention, a lovely three night trip. We both said that trip was too short so booked a seven-night Western trip last October, with a couple of friends.

Even that was too short - we had already booked the Panama cruise, and I was concerned about how long it was going to be. Now I know it should be just right! After we got off the seven-night, we spent a few days at WDW. Everytime we saw one of the busses, I just whined about wanting to get back on.

I am driving my poor wife nuts right now - I'm like a three year old looking towards Christmas. I just want it to be here NOW! :goodvibes I am reading these boards several times a day, grasping all of the little tidbits and pieces of info. I just can't get enough.

I've started packing - pulling together a lot of new clothes and fun. I was lucky enough to win five yards of the Animators Palate vest fabric last October, and part of it is at the tailor shop right now being made into a tuxedo vest for me.

I wanted to thank everyone for all their info - I think I would have been a lot less prepared than we now will be, if I hadn't been able to read all our wisdom.

Thanks again all!

Tony

Ken, I got a chuckle out of that. I guess you could also add you might be wearing a t-shirt that says “Repo This”. :)

It is like when people ask me if I have ever been to Sturgis : I tell them , yes I have and you probably saw me there , I was the guy with the black t-shirt standing next to a Harley…:)

I have the same type of story for the annual Arthritis Ride San Francisco to LA bicycle fundraiser that I participate in. In the big group picture on the morning of day 1, everyone is wearing the lime green (not disboard green) event jerseys. So when people look at the picture and want to know where I am, I always say "I'm the one in the green".

Hi Robin

I remember that as well. I'm assuming that these people have dropped out. But without "official" word, I would hate to take them off the "MASTER LIST".

Ken

I just checked! Tony is on the master list. :goodvibes

How about 259 "repo this" shirts all over the terminal? People will think we sure have a BIG family :grouphug:

Robin

Opps - it's not 259 people on the name badge list. Technically, it's 258 people and one wonder dog. I'm not sure if Cash wants to be classified as a "people". How about it Lynda, does Cash mind if he gets lumped in with the "people"? I guess I should have just said 259 cruisers. That would take care of the issue.

Robin

Yeah! :cool1:

Thanks Ken - I'll be looking for you.

Now to go finish packing for today's trip....

Hey everyone,
Jeff and I have not fallen off the face of the Earth just been sick and working. I'm hoping tomorrow or Tuesday jeff can get to the list, but am not sure. Continue to send the updates in and we'll get to them ASAP.
(In case anyone was wondering why I don't just do it myself, Jeff has the list done in straight HTML coding. I can only do web format in WYSIWYG. So I can't do it by myself)

Later gators...

We will be planning on getting to the cruise terminal early also, just as long as Scott doesn't keep us out all night at his party Friday night!

I will be handing out all my "stuff" in the terminal. For the Christmas Cruise Mark and Mary were able to hand out quite a bunch of the mini navigators before even getting on the ship. Then they just made a quick round to the rooms before they "opened" and put them on the fish. It didn't seem to be a problem, and everyone seemed to get them okay. So.....that's our plan. We plan on getting to the terminal, greeting and hugging our disfriends that we have known forever! It will be just like a big family reunion. Then we will eat Girl Scout cookies and socialize until they let us board the ship!

Bob can race for the hammock! We will race for the front of the line at the cruise terminal. Last one there is a rotten egg!!!!

Linda

I won't keep you late on Friday night, as I also want to get to the Port early.

When people see us in the Repo This shirts and ask if we are a group or family we can just tell the " We went to different High Schools together." Most folks just say oh ok, start to walk away and then it hits them.....

Back to packing.....

Ok, anyone have any thoughts as to what type of evening shows will be on which night?? For example: Do we expect Disney Dreams to be on the first formal night and Golden Mickeys to be on the second formal night? What about the new show coming on board?

I'm beginning to think about the schedule and need more information! Can't wait until we get on board.

Any new movies slated for Premier either of the weeks we are on? We saw Robots today and everyone was laughing.

And, any news on further route changes?!! I'd love to think about this for a bit. The idea of not getting off the ship for 5 days or so is starting to settle in.

I called DCL to see if the number of our Life Boat Suite had been assigned. Nope not yet. I then asked about schedule of evening activities, No info available was the reply. I then asked about the possibility of a route change. The response was a well you never know, things do change. Made me wonder about this possibility. :confused3

Lynn has succumbed to the realization that we may have to ship some stuff down ahead of time. :goodvibes Alas the advantage of packing early. Her carry on was full and she did not have any clothes packed. There are just too many theme things and special stuff to travel light. To think our total baggage allowance to Tanzania was 36 pounds. That was a three-week trip, with no probs.

I think the new show, sorry forgot the name, will be the first night. Sounds as if it an overview of your cruise experience. Regardless I am ready for Pirate Night pirate: and tropical night. Thank God the Tiki Bar is open!!!!

I also asked about special merchandise and the reply was, no info available. Don’t these people know that we just gotta know this stuff. :rotfl2: :hyper: :hyper:

Good evening everyone :wizard: and Happy Easter!

I do know that they have special DCL merchandise coming for DL 50th. If they have it in time for our cruise is another story. You would THINK they would... but stanger things have happened. Since the "official" start of the celebration is May 5, I think chances are good. :earsboy:

Tony Welcome to you and your family. Glad you decided to "delurk" and join the fun.

As for room assignment.. still no luck here either. :confused3 TA says it's better.. you have a better chance at upgrade. Oh well. Keeping fingers and toes crossed but I am not holding out much hope. Maybe I will be pleasently surprised :teeth:
