I just love Off Kilter - I've got two of their CD's. And during the solo portion of my December trip, I lost count of how many shows I watched, lol.
The guys are great about signing autographs and posing for pictures. They hang around after the shows for this, and they're really so, so nice. When I was solo, I didn't approach them after the shows because there were always other fans talking to them, but since we'll be in a group it should be really fun to get a group pic with them after the show.
Hi, Kaycee. The band seems like a very friendly band group. I bet that they would love to take a group picture. I have always seen them stick around to shake hands and talk and answer questions and sign autographs. And if you bring your own camera, I'll ask for you if you can have your own individual picture with who ever you want to take a picture in the group. Then you can bring it back to have it autographed by them, too.
I know what you mean about the small seating area. It is so nice of you to sit on the side to let the others sit on the benches. I don't think that I could ever get back up...lol.
FYI, if you haven't seen the area before, it is a cute little stage area on the left side of the Canadian pavilion. I think there is a small wall lining the right side, where many people like to sit. And I think on the left side is a row of scrubs and trees. I'm not sure, but I think that there are four or five rows of benches on each side and a large open space up the middle and in the front. Those kids do love to dance up front...lol.
There are two to four large umbrellas over the benches for sun shade.
I sometimes like to ride my
scooter up to back of the last row under one of the umbrellas.
I see a lot of people standing in back of the benches. They even stand all the way back to the lake against the fence to listen and watch the band.
And Kaycee, a lot of nice visitors like you, sitting on the ground on the side or up the middle.
This sounds like a wonderful DIS meet.
And you don't have to wear lime green if you don't want to. I'll be wearing my lime green DIS t-shirt just so you can see where one of the DISers are located. Usually, most people don't have lime green to wear, and that is O.K.. But some will be wearing some lime green something. You might see a lime green ribbon pinned to a shirt or backpack. Or a lime green t-shirt, fanny pack.
If you are shy...I'll tell you a trick. Just hang back and watch all the DISers laughing and talking. And if you don't think that we are too crazy, then you can walk right up and say hello and introduce yourself. Then you can say that you have been to your first DIS meet. Then you can start your own DIS meet anywhere.
But if you are wearing lime green, I'm going to ask you if you are from the DIS...lol. Even though it seems like so many people are wearing lime green now a days.
Two years ago, many of the singers in the December Epcot Christmas Processional wore special lime green t-shirts when they were just out visiting the parks. I didn't meet one of them that knew about the DIS...lol. But some of them said...that someone else had stopped them and asked the same question...lol.
Isn't it amazing that a bunch of people get together to enjoy the one thing that we both have in common and that is the love of DISney. Whoops...I mean Disney...lol.
And if you would like me to take a picture with your own camera of you with the group and with another friend that you have made on the DIS or with one of the band members, just let me know. I'll be the fellow in the scooter. But I can walk around. I just use the scooter for walking long distances.
Now don't be too shy...show up even if you are lurking here and come by and say hello.
Sincerely, Ray
