My TA just called and said all 2005 dates will be opening on Mon 12/15. Anyone else hear this?:earsgirl:

Really? I hope so.

When I booked onboard the 10/11 Magic this year, Donna said the rest of 2005 would open up this January. I booked onboard but will move to a later date.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep checking.

Has anyone else heard this yet? I would like to know if the 2005 dates are going to open too!
Thanks,
DJ:bounce:

Uh-oh! If this is true I will have to convince DH to break his rule for me...only 2 trips booked at a time. ;)
Thanks for posting!!! Im all excited now. :teeth:

This is great news if true. I've been waiting to check on prices for summer and December 2005 cruises. Thanks for the heads up.

I have been patiently waiting for the itineraries for summer '05. Up 'til now, it only shows dates up to April. I hope it is next week so that the deciding and planning can begin. Send me a pm if they do open up. I do not get e-mail notifications (addaware/spam thing). We have done the East. and West. and would love to do the East. again. Thanks.

Just talked with a Disney CM. She said "We are hoping to open up the remaining dates in the next two weeks." HTH

Hi Sandra....does this mean you book a date while you're onboard, get the Castaway Club "ship credit' of $200 (or some amount) and then change the resevation when your "real" dates are released. And can you then 'transfer' your reservation to DU to get additional money off?

I have been confused about this issue, can anyone comment?
Thanks:jester:

I talked with Donna onboard for a LONG time about this issue. I wanted to be sure of what I was doing.

You can book any dates you want while on board. You get the 10% discount and the $200 onboard credit. If you want to move to a different date, you keep the $200 onboard credit and you get the 10% off whatever the rate is for your new date. I was sure I wanted a date in 2005 that was not listed. I'm sure she was sick of me asking about maintaining the 10% discount on a new date. :-)

I have not transferred to a TA, but I am pretty sure you get whatever perks the TA are offering.

Cool deal, huh?

WAAAAAY Cool:hyper: I am going in the Fall of 2004 and would expect I would ned another fix by Fall 2006
Thanks:jester:

So was anyone able to book today? The dates are not on the DCL website yet, but I remember last time you could book with your TA before they posted the dates on the website.

Just curious if the rest of 2005 really did open up today. We are waiting until after our 7 day cruise in September to decide if we want to do a 4 or 7 day in 2005, so we are not booking yet.

DJ

I booked the May 7 2005 Magic today :bounce:

The CM told me that all of 2005 was open for the Wonder, but for the Magic, only up until the May 7 (which is a Western) is currently available. The rest would follow "shortly".

Booked a category 4 and the CM told me my early booking discount was $3,300...

I received confirmation for my Christmas '05 cruise today. DU called DCL to check on my cabin request. The agent told me that only the Christmas cruise (beyond what was already opened) was opened today and that only a manager could access my reservation.

BTW I reserved the 12/24-12/31 Eastern itinerary.

Shelly,

We are sailing this saturday (western) and may just join you in two years.

May I ask what the price was like? Thanks! ;)

The price I received was very close to the estimates I heard from others traveling peak time in '04 (Christmas, Easter) for a cat.3, it doesn't seem that the cost went up significantly. If you are interested I would be happy to send you a pm.

Just called disney cruise line and spoke to a rep who indicated to me that the only 2005 dates they have available is thru May..
she told me that in the spring that the other months will open up, as i am interested in the Western.. Yesterday when i called disney another rep told me that by January all dates will be open for 2005.. do not know who to believe at this point.. I will just keep calling at least once a week to make sure nothing surfaced.
