2005 dates open

We are looking to book in October '05. Hopefully they will open up those dates while we are on the Wonder in Feb (just a short 54 days away). That way we could get an on-board credit too:earseek:

Considering we are wanting either cat 3 OR 2 connecting cat 7 staterooms (both very limited) I sure do hope DU contacts me back soon. I'm having anxiety that I'll miss the small window of opportunity to get one of those for the date I want in June 2005!!!

From my experience DU replies quite quickly. I believe their website says that if you haven't received a quote within 24 hours to email them again to make sure they received the initial request.

My TA faxed disney what I wanted about 2 years in advance. Faxed in sept. for a aug 2005 trip. and I just found out I got exactly the rooms I wanted. They said I got it because we faxed them early. that's when they told her 2005 dates would open this past monday. i have to have deposit by 12/24/03 can't wait!

Ahhhhhh, one's already gotten their's booked for Dec 2005 and you have for Aug 2005? I'm beginning to think my chances of getting what we want for June 2005 is slim to none. :(
I haven't heard back from DU yet- but I also put in a request for contact from allseastravel.com and they have already called me! I did that with their website late last night. She said they are not booking past May for 2005 yet but that they could put me on the waiting list for cat 3 and then when it opens for those dates- then she could have prices to help me compare and decide.

I am guessing that all of you that have booked your 2005 cruise have booked on the Wonder.. I had just called DCL because i am anxious to book our July 2005 Magic Cruise.. and want specific rooms.. the rep informed me that all of 2005 was open for the Wonder and nothing for the Magic.. possible the beginning of the year or early spring.. what a bummer.. i want to book this already, as we loved the last cruise that we were on...

No, I booked the Magic 12/24/05 - 12/31/05, but my travel agent told me that DCL has not opened the cruise for booking. She had to call and speak to a manager to get my info. Sounds to me like inventory control is filling the requests that have already been faxed to them before they open the cruise up for booking. I don't really know how this works, but just like the above post I had my travel agent fax them my request almost a year ago.

Thank you for that post! I know it's a bummer for you- but it knocked my stressing out level down a notch... maybe there's still a chance for us. LOL

Not opening the the rest of 2005 for the Magic..eh!

come on everyone, say it with me...
Magic - West Coast

ok so I can dream can't I?

I actually hope the reason that they haven't opened them up is special itineraries - some special ports maybe St. Lucia on a regular basis?

Hi Folks

Just to supply some clarification:

Disney Cruise Line has opened up all 3 & 4 night cruise-only sail dates, as well as 7 night land/sea packages for 2005. They have also opened up 2 additional 7-night cruise only sailings in 2005 - 04/30/2005 (Eastern) and 05/07/2005 (Western).

Dreams Unlimited has modified our quote request forms to include these additional 2005 sailings.

We anticipate that the rest of 2005 will open up sometime in January when DCL finalizes their 2005 7-night itineraries. I have heard some rumors about what these itineraries will be - believe me, they will be well worth the wait ;)

If anyone is interested in a 2005 sail date that has not opened up yet you can write to me directly at john@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and I will put you on my list to contact once we know the sail date you want opens up. Another option we have is to contact Disney Cruise Line with all the pertinent information needed to book your cruise and they will book it as soon as it opens up for sale.

I hope you find this information useful.

John

I am in the same boat as gottabelieve - we want to cruise again on the Magic in July '05 (I think it's the second or third). I don't have a 2005 calendar in front me. If May 7 is Western, assuming the rotation stays the same, will July 2nd or third be an Eastern or Western? Thanks everyone.

I am really crossing my fingers for a new 2005 Magic itinerary! I want the week of Memorial Day and don't really care where the ship is going. LOL!

I have been on many cruises but neer DCL. We plan on doing a land/sea package in May 2005. Cat 4 adjoining rooms. I am researching with several groups for best price. But since this is so early I think they are all about the same with early booking discount. So is it really necessary to book this early. I can't believe I am actually considering booking year and half away. Now I will keep looking to see which is better land/sea or seperate. But so far the package is winning my vote. I want to leave everything up to DCL so I can have a ball with my family.

Like most posters here, we're waiting for the rest of the 2005 schedule to come out. We're planning mid August again (like we did this past August land/sea). This time around we're doing a 7 day, 4 days just wasn't enough. Unfortunately we have to wait for 2005, our 2004 annual vacation is already booked up for Hawaii! Is the Magic similar to Wonder (besides the restaurant Lumiere to Tritons)?

When the remaining 2005 dates become available, we'll know whether that speculation about the Magic sailing from California has any merit.
