Hi all, we are planning to do alot for Christmas. (decorating that is). Since I gave everyone in the family the cruise for 2003 and 2004 as Christmas presents, we've already talked about what we are going to do. Since there are 13 of us (5 kids) and we have four staterooms (deck 6, inside), I am going to bring my biggest suitcase and pack four 3 ft. alpine trees decorated with lights. Then I am bringing lights in four different colors (for the four staterooms) and will be decorating the staterooms. We are putting up stockings for each and every person. Then, I called Disney and found out that our stateroom door is 23" wide, so I have taken Disney Christmas Wrap and we are going to run the paper on the outside of the door from bottom to top and add a big bow and I think I am going to make a Santa's Christmas Wish List on the computer and put the first name of each adult and child in the stateroom on the outside door.
What we are planning on doing (my step daughters (2) and daughter in law (1) and getting on the ship and send all the dads and grandpa straight to the pool and/or buffet, and we are going to go down and decorate the staterooms before the kids come down so they think Mickey and Minnie did it for us.
I've been asking what special things they are going to do on the ship, but haven't found out much. They did say that they do a family gingerbread house building activity, but space is limited, so you have to sign up early. I think as we get closer we will be able to find out more.
I just wish that as it gets closer, someone could get ahold of those daily navigators and put them on one of the sites so we could all print them out and plan our schedule before we even get on the ship. I would then be in heaven! I'm the kind that tracks down my stateroom attendant as soon as I see them in the hallway (if I am not at dinner) and ask for a copy so I can plan the following day.
I wish it was December! Linda
