Sounds like we found a "down side" to knowing so many cruisers, since half of us are sick. Yikes!

I must say, I haven't felt this crummy in a long time. Should have gotten a flu shot! The stuff the doc gave us to break up the congestion is working. I've never heard of the antibiotic he gave me...it's called Biaxin XL (500 mg) Anyone???

Mary....you said that (above) very well.

Got my underwater pics developed while we were at the doc's. I have one picture of a turtle that is astounding! Another good one of 6 squid all together, and a couple of murky ones of some rays. These are the best underwater pics I've ever gotten, so I'm pretty tickled. Wishing now that they were digital...I'd put one up. If I scan it, it doesn't usually up-load to the picture site very well. Any suggestions? I use Photo Bucket.

I'm going to go lay back down. I have serious doubts about seeing midnight tonight....but everyone have a
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

Stacey

Hi I so agree about living everyday to its fullest. Probably the only reason I was not a participant with you guys before the cruise is that we had wanted to go but the day before Hurricane Jeanne (just happens to be the same exact name and spelling of my mom) my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer with bone mets. We were on again and off again obviously for the cruise. They were supposed to go with us. We had cancelled all plans for the future not knowing what that held. My father passed away one month later Oct 29. My mom decided she wanted to get away for xmas so we rebooked Dec 1. Disney was awesome in that although we booked on a guarantee which we had never done they secured us adjoining cabins deck7. The cruise was bittersweet. I cant tell you how many times I wished he was there sharing it with his grandchildren.

Biaxin is a great antibiotic although tends to leave a funny taste in your mouth.

Gooses---Where abouts in SE michigan are you from? My husband and family are from Imlay City and my brother and sister in law just moved from Grosse Pointe.

Mr. Burt and Mr. Eddy if you and your teenagers are going on the may '06 cruise please inform them of the creation of the teenboard of that cruise so that maybe we can get to 2000 posts on that board

Thank you

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE CRAZY CHRISTMAS CRUISERS!

We just got in. Came very close to spending another night in Orlando, Southwest was offering incentives to bump to a flight tomorrow. They couldn't find any hotel rooms! We would have rented a car and gone back to Epcot for New Years. Turned out they didn't need us, though.

Jim, Alicia and Kevin really enjoyed the dive, and Alicia was thrilled to see the calf. They both liked Red, and hope to dive with you all in May.

Alicia is off to a New Year's sleepover at her friend's house, so we have the whole house to ourselves and the cat, who hasn't stopped yelling since we got home. Probably won't unpack a darn thing tonight except my toothbrush unless Kevin guilts me into it.

Sorry to hear that everyone is sick! I got the crud after sitting in the freezing theatre on the ship for Incredibles, but I'm the only one that got sick.

Will check back later, hope everyone comes back to check in eventually!

hey alicia has an e-mail that i sent her i hope that it doesn't get her even more mad at me if it does i havn't a clue what i shall do

ok good night too you all

Sorry to hear everybody hasn't been feeling well..... Stacey - if you get a metallic taste in your mouth - sour lemon will help - as will chocolate milk. Biaxin is a great antibiotic - related to erythromycin - but doesn't give the stomach pain/upset that emycin does.....

Windermerejudy - glad you were able to cruise - while it's hard - I'm sure that it will help you....

gaRry - glad you're feeling better.... I'm working tonight in my lime green Holiday DIS cruise scrub top - everybody loves it - so thanks so very much for it!

Frances and I appreciated all of the well wishes over the loss of Minx. We had planned on adding a kitten when we got home for Lauren - so we went today and got him. Lauren named him Quigley.... Frances found a kitten she fell in love with - so she got him also - and guess what we named him? "DIS" I couldn't believe it. You all made such a great impression on her - I was teasing her would should name him DIS and she said - yea - I'd been thinking that too.... Lauren hates the name - but we like it so it'll stay.... So we have a couple of new little Disers in the family.... Quigley and DIS....

Hopefully everybody has a safe and good New Year!!!

I'll be back later!

I agree that the group shot came out great. Stacey stopped by our table and showed us.

Who is the guy on the far right part way up the stairs? He's behind me. He was there for quite awhile. I had to say "excuse me" when we shuffled and I bumped into him!

NO idea who it is....anyone?

We are signed up for the Holiday 2006 cruise. We might sneak one more in there in the meantime.

We signed up for that too on the cruise. (actually booked THREE more!!) But on the way home....the LONG drive home....we discussed it and decided we didn't want to do it after all. For a couple of reasons....this 10 day holiday cruise with all of you cannot be topped. And for the price (over $10K for the four of us) I'm afraid it wouldn't be the same. Secondly, some genius over at DCL made it 12/16-12/26....which means Christmas day will be the big pack up and move out day. I HATE that day ...and to combine it with Christmas would NOT be fun for us. So we called DCL from the road and cancelled. :(

Karen, could it be the Land and Sea Guy? I don't think very many people met Cary and his wife.

Jim, so sorry to hear about your dear friend. I don't know much about that affliction, but I hope it can be treated.

Very excited kids tonight......Jessica and Erik have already mentioned their desire to continue cruising on an annual basis. It was truly a fantastic vacation.

Gus, I really hope we can cruise together again some day. I enjoyed chatting with you and Sandy and seeing your kids. Seems like I was ALWAYS bumping into Jessica here and there. I was one of the ppl enabling her with her new pin addiction!!! ;) You've got a great family and I'm really glad to have met you all!!!

We came home to sad news, though, my wife's cat Minx had died a couple of hours prior to us getting home. Frances was absolutely devastated, as she wanted to be with her at the end.

Sorry to hear that. Frances was telling me about Minx and how you may have to make a hard decision when you got back. What a wonderful neighbor to stay there with her until the end!

Your Christmas tree made it to London safe and sound. Will have to get it to you at some point :) Kt is already asking when we're all getting together again....not sure if she means just our two families or ALL of us. Either way, I can't wait either!

If anyone was at the 2nd show on Friday night we were the couple on the stage with the magician- much to our sons delight.

Friday night or Monday night? Were you up there with Rich Purpura? The act with the mind reading and card trick? If so, I had NO idea you were DIS'ers!! :)

Matt "the Silent Matt" gave me a few details on the manatee dive. 83 manatees in the spring and run. That's pretty good. He said everyone had a good time and most important, Alica got to see the manatee.
He's not as silent as he may seem. Ya gotta love that moniker though!

The diving at Blue Springs was awesome! Alicia didn't really like going down into the dark spring head without light and we stopped at 40'. I'd like to explore that a bit further another time.

The manatees were awesome, like Diana mentioned, we saw a mother with her calf (plus many others) and got some great pictures. Still need to rename all the pictures and clean them up from the cruise, but that will take a few more days.

We were having our "green chili" fix tonight and were talking about how great this cruise was. I'm thinking a lot of that had to do with all the great folks we met before and during the cruise!

Last night we went to our neighbors and had left overs. They were very impressed that I brought home only 2 bottles of wine. Not bad judgement on our part.

And you got away before I could credit you for that second bottle of wine. So I'll make out a check to "Mr. Scuba" and send it to you!! ;)

Thanks for the birthday card, btw!!

That goes for everyone who slipped me a birthday message or a Christmas card or a small gift! THANKS!! Coming home to surprises like that was such fun! Of course, I only wish I had been as prepared! You guys are awesome!

I think that is one of the reasons I love cruising so much. You can be far away from things and it is just you and God's wonderful earth.

Amen there! I got home today (around 5) and when I went to turn on the kitchen sink I remembered that the faucet was sticking very badly. For two full weeks I hadn't even given ONE thought to my faucet!! :)

Well, guys. I'm sitting here sipping wine (nasty stuff---not the good stuff from DCL) and waiting for the new year to come so I can go to bed. The kids won't let us go to bed early :( We left beautiful sunny Florida yesterday around 1:30 pm after a nice visit with MIL and her dh. We drove until Atlanta when we met up with Mike's brother and had another nice visit. Then we made it to Cleveland, TN for the night. Got up today and started driving at 9:30. Stopped for lunch and finally got home around 5:00 pm. Unpacked for two hours, ran to wal*mart and played a game with the kids. I'm beat!

I SO enjoyed seeing all of you on the cruise (although there are several that I still have NO idea who they are!) Travelling with my parents made it tricky to spend more time with you. I felt so divided at times. Plus, for whatever reason, Nick didn't ever want to close the Lab like KT did....so the night-time things were a bust for us.

We currently have the following cruises booked: 4/30/05. 9/4/05 (DVC cruise) 1/7/06, 5/27/06. We cancelled the 12/16/06 cruise on the way home. Hoping to see LOTS of you on those cruises.

Kevin, Virgil dropped off a small gift the last night of the cruise from the two of you.....I laughed VERY hard!! My copy of "Remodeling Bathrooms for Dummies" is SURE to get lots of use. I'm not sure DCL will appreciate this, but I started with the bathroom in cabin 6060!!! ;)

Also, was it you, Kevin, who did the picture at the end of the ornament exchange. I apologize, but I was laughing so hard I didn't put two and two together. I *think* that was you who presented it!!! TOOOO funny. I notice it is "suitable for framing!" ;)

I've been to WDW many times and this was my 5th Disney cruise.....this one is BY FAR the one I'm having the most trouble adjusting to real life after. Besides the fact that the weather here is cruddy (50 and drizzling, muddy and grey) I miss seeing smiling faces wherever I go!! Plus I have to pick up the beast on Monday. :( Mike must really be sick of her b/c he says if she doesn't shape up, she's out of here. I'm still realistic enough to remember she's still a puppy, but it sure was nice for two weeks not to have to deal with her!!!

Btw, Taylor Mason is booked for two Wonder cruises in the near future....I'm thinking I shoudl book those too!! Anyone else think he was HYSTERICAL?

I'm here - fell asleep earlier and then woke up so I thought I'd at least see them ring in the New Year on the east coast.

I spent the day doing laundry and working on the trip report that I'm going to put up on the web site. I'm finished up to Christmas Eve so don't have too much more to go. I hope to have it up by the end of the weekend and will let everyone know when it is up.

Karen - we'll be with you on two of your cruises. We can really only afford one per year so we have the DVC one booked in 2005 and the May 27th one booked for 2006.
