Hi All!

Virgil...give Frances my best. You all already know how much I still miss my kitty. It's always so hard.

I just woke up. I picked up Molly, the streets were flooded pretty badly from all the storms. There are no storm sewers here. We made it just in time, one wash that I have to cross was already flooded, with a lot of cars lined up along the road trying to figure out what to do. I just barrelled on through it.

But this is what my road looks like as of an hour ago:

Needless to say, I doubt if Jay will be getting home from work. And of course, my fridge and cupboards are bare. I emptied it all before we left. Oh well....from Disney Dining to soda crackers!

I gained 2 pounds, Jordan lost, Jared stayed the same, and Jay's not telling!!

I picked up a cold that's turning nasty. I told Jay at the airport that I thought I was getting the flu, was hot, then cold....now I'm congested and yukky.
Better now than last week!!

I have been trying to think of something else "profound" but the words aren't coming. I think we all know how much this cruise meant to us.

Jordan is trying to keep herself out of the "doghouse". She unpacked ALL of suitcases while I napped today!!
I wonder how long that will last???

I've been sorting through the pics and have a ton of junk to put away, so I guess I'll tackle it. Waiting for Jay to call. I'll have to drive down and meet him at the creek to see if he can make it home.

Talk to you later. Miss you all already!!

Well, We made it home yesterday - fairly exhausted. We came home to sad news, though, my wife's cat Minx had died a couple of hours prior to us getting home. Frances was absolutely devastated, as she wanted to be with her at the end. Minx was 19 so it wasn't unexpected. Luckily the neighbor was checking on her - and knew she wasn't doing well - so she stayed until Minx had passed so Minx wasn't alone. Today was tough - as it was the first time in 19 years that Frances didn't have to feed Minx first thing on awakening.

That sad news aside, what a wonderful trip we had. I was trying to temper my expectations - because there was no way that it could live up to the billing. Well, I think that it did. It was so much fun meeting everybody in person. My family could not have asked for better dinner partners than Joe and Leslie. I'm sorry that we missed Match your Mate... and the Pub night.....

Well.... I'll be back later....Kristin got off to England OK - exhausted - but she also said what a great time.

Virgil
pirate: TFD

Virgil..........Sorry to hear about the sad news regarding Minx.

I know how hard it is losing a cat as I grew up with cats my whole life.

My thoughts are with you.

John and Torey-well, will have to make sure to bring the printer again next time so we can put pictures on everyone's door.

Boy, I've got a good one of Stacey, or should I say Lisa from Girls Night Out!

I'll have to get it posted.

Okay, really got work to do!

Hey....wait a minute.....what happened to "What Happens on the Magic, Stays on the Magic"?????

I am feeling lousier (is that a word?) by the minute. So glad it's now, and not on the ship. Jay didn't make it home yet. The creek is still running strong. He went to eat and will come back and look at it later.
I think he really wanted to get home, too. Bad first day back. Our foreman is quitting. He's the one who had given us all the trouble last spring/summer....so it wasn't entirely unexpected. But it's a fine welcome home!
Jay had been saying on the cruise that the more we travel, the less he wants to work, and that he'd like to down-size our operation.....but I'm not quite ready for that. We have more cruises to do!!
Anyway.....still trying to find places to put all the junk, so I'm off again.

Travis was the soldier, the girl that was the black jack dealer had some L name that was hard to remember :earboy2:, i think the taxi driver was bert or brent...i know it was a B name and he said honk honk here and a honk honk there, the lighthouse girl had an R name...gee i'm not helping am i?? but she did say quick flash here...not little :earboy2:, que said shut their eyes, lay them out, shut them in a box, karen was the seamstress who sang "half a yard, cut it by the inch", and doug's last part was hard to understand..."show my airy best?" i don't know...it was some french word i think...some french ballet term. :earboy2: i really wish i had run up to the room to get the video camera...i thought about doing it...but then decided against it.
Boy... sure sorry we missed that skit... it sounds like a doozie! I do know that Leizel (sp?) was one of the cruise staff and I think Anthony was the one that taught us line dancing..... Other than that... no clue
Virgil.. pm'd you.

Hey to all,

Someone help me figure out what i posted last. Also i have been having cruise withdrawls. I am really happy because i am with my family here in WDW. Little things remind me of the cruise like today we went to MK and went on the jungle cruise. Then at downtown disney i saw a CD from Gloria Gaynor and at Tomorrow land i saw some misseles, and at the beach club there was sabd everywhere...LOL LESLIE I HAD TO DO IT. Well i am happy to say once i am done with college in two years i will be 21 and i want to apply for the Disney Cruise. My only fear is i will be put on the Wonder. Just like i have the fear of working at California Adventure, hense why i am not applying to Disneyland. Hopefully all will work out. I feel that Cruise Staff have the best jobs because they interact with everyone and they work so hard but in the end they help make peoples vactions. Night to all. Sweet Dreams.

Chris you are babbeling incoherently again so you better just STOP! LOL
Don't worry... if you want to work for Disney you can request where you want to be and what you want to do..... they do attempt to place you somewhere you'd be happy.... after all they want to keep you happy while paying you that minimum wage....LOL

I wonder how long that will last???

Matt unpacked all of our suitcases yesterday while we were at work. I wonder if there are some stories he did not tell us?

We need some non-Disney Cruise advance and I don't dare post anything non-Disney on the main board. I don't need another carafe experience.

Sharon and I are planing on a Royal Caribbean cruise in 11/2005 for our 20th anniversary. We are going with our neighbors and they will not do a Disney.

We need all the help we can get learning all the secrets of another ship and cruise line. I looked and really can not find any DIS type board out there for RC.

Besides using Cruise Critic, any suggestions?

Jim- can't help with the RC question. Cruise Critic is the only other cruise board I read. I've sailed RC once many years ago and liked it. I've only heard great things about them. Only negative I've heard is that disembarkation is a pain with them, but since you like to take your time you should be fine!

Wow - I really didn't realize how wiped out I was from this cruise until early last evening. I think I crashed about 7:30 and slept right through the night!

We never did make it to meeting up with Diana, Kevin and Alicia at Illuminations on Tuesday night. When we finally got our room at Beach Club we found out it had a fireworks view. Good thing because by the time we had dinner and the candlelight processional I could hardly walk! My ankle was really acting up. So back to the room and we saw the fireworks from our balcony. Not as great as seeing them in person, but better than not seeing them at all.

Both MK and Epcot where mobbed! Remind me never to go to WDW between Christmas and New Years again!

Back at work - thank goodness it is only for 1 day :D

Haven't even thought of unpacking yet (except for my make-up case this morning). We'll tackel that tonight and I'll spend tomorrow doing laundry.

Much as I miss the ship and all of you it is good to be home. Looking forward to a nice quiet New Years eve.

Hi everyone. I'm here at Saratoga Springs (Virgil's new home!), alone again, naturally. Family is off to scuba with the Manatees, at least I hope so. The hotel alarm clock did not go off when expected, but Jim's friend Red said "come ahead".

Mary and Mark, we did not stay for Illuminations either (glad we saw you earlier). We barely stayed awake for dinner. Kevin was nodding off during the Candlelight Processional. I think we slept 11 hours Tuesday night.

Met Gail and Stephen at Brown Derby in MGM last night, then toured the Osbourne lights and went to Fantasmic. So nice to meet them, they're very personable. Their three year old son Ethan fell in love with Alicia and wanted to walk around holding her hand the rest of the night. She's invited to his birthday party, in fact. And Stephen wants to start a FL business with Kevin, so it was a productive night! They are going on the Wonder next week for their fist DCL cruise. I know they will love it!

Gail asked what we liked best about the cruise. Answer no. 1: being on the Magic for 10 days! Answer no. 2 (or maybe a tie): being on the Magic for 10 days with all our new friends!

Notice I came here to catch up before checking e-mail. We did call on Tuesday to check on our kitty, and he is well. Virgil, tell Frances we are sorry to hear about her baby.

Garry, we still love you too. Could tell you weren't feeling all that great, hope you get back to normal now that you are home. Seeing your babies will help, I'm sure.

Too funny, we saw people from the cruise yesterday in the parks. In line for Stitch at MK (which was wall to wall people), Alicia saw her friend Michelle from the Stack, so she joined us. They had a little time together, and then we saw them again at the bathroom line and getting ice cream! And at Brown Derby, we saw another family. We didn't know them, but their son was sitting with Jackpot Vanessa at one of the shows.

Jeri, is that the May 27, 2006 Magic you have booked? We need to figure out how many cabins we have.

Be back later. Guess I should check e-mail now!

Good morning, everyone!

Diana....thanks for letting us know about your meeting with Gail. I had a feeling her Ethan would be a sweetie!! And how could he NOT be crazy about Alicia?

I think one of my favorite parts of the cruise (beside, of course, meeting everyone) was watching our teens. I'm actually not mad at Jordan at all. I'm glad they all got along so well and had the time of their lives.
But I agree, Jim.....makes me wonder what else there is that we didn't hear about.:scratchin

We had our own post-cruise mini meet at the airport. My family, LeiLani's, Virgil's, and Charlotte's. Such a huge airport, and we all ended up in the same spot! We were plotting to go up to one of the DCL "Greeters" and sign on for the 12-28 cruise!
As exhausted as we all were, I don't think we would have made it through another cruise.

I still have all of the toiletries out and the things I bought. Need to find homes for all of it. But I think I may leave all the toiletries in their bags. At least then they will be ready for the August cruise. Glad I have some time to recover.

Jay did make it across the creek last night. That's the main reason we have kept his '59 Chevy pickup all this time. It gets across even when the hot-shots with their Hummers can't.
The test will be to see if I can get out this a.m. I can hear it still roaring.

I loaded all 600 pictures last night. And put them on a disk. But I wasn't smart enough to edit them first. Will do that later, then make another disk.

I had an e-mail waiting from the speed boat that didn't show up in St Maarten, engine troubles, and they have already refunded my deposit. The day worked out well anyway....there's always a "Plan B".

Jim, I may have one site for RC....but I don't know of any discussion boards like ours. I'll look for it. Try www.cruisediva.com

Okay...off I go....Mary, don't work too hard on your one day back!!

Stacey

Now I'm under Dd's screen name. Oh well.

Jim the Cruise Critic board has a "Meet" thread for each cruise line, similar to this one, though not as hopping. Did "Silent Matt" make the manatee dive this morning? Alicia said he started coming to the dances, but would just sit and watch. Must have been prime girl-watching time. He was watching their eyes, right?

Stacey, you will need to let us know when Jay finds out about the next one. I don't think he will mind much, because I think he had a good time too!

Jim - We went on RC this past May on the Voyager of the Seas. Perhaps we can help you out a bit. PM me when you get a chance...

Ok at pub night here is what i remember:

"Left, right, left, right. Swing those bloody arms."
"Hit me here, hit me there. 21 or bust."
"Balls to you sir, balls to you sir. Up and down the court."
"Honk here here, honk their. Driving down the street."
"Little flash here, a little flash there spinning round and round."
Totally forgot
All i remember was "cut it by the inch"
"First position, second position"... don't remember the rest

Also who am i missing???
Que, Karen, Doug.... Help me out. I have their names just don't remember or forgot how to spell them.

Chris

The last one was "first position, second position, arabesque". Which has nothing to do with lifting up the front of your tutu.

Just got a call, the manatee dive was a success. Alicia is in the manatee's tummy this time. They are off to get pizza with Matt and Red, so I guess they will be home in a couple of hours.
