Donalds_best_pal said:I confess its 12:15 and I am still up. I was studying so I have an excuse. It looks like the weather might be getting sever here around 4am. Other areas are already under tornadoe watches, not us yet. The worst should be to the north of us. But our weather radio is on and by my bed, planning to be woken up to it going off early tommorow. Please send pixie dust our way that we stay safe tommorow morning. They are saying up to 3 inches of rain, hail up to golf ball size, damaging wind gusts in excess of 65 mph and isolated tornadoes. Stay safe for anyone else in the Ark-La-Miss area.
Good Night,
Matt
Dancind said:Yeah, we tried Netflicks. Between the mailing times, and the broken DVDs, didn't seem worth it. We do love movies! We watched Moulin Rouge again last night. We're pretty weird, I guess.

We made it through fine. We have a weather radio since our area is known for bad weather. Went off at 3am, then off again to tell there was a tornadoe on the ground at 3:30, and kept going off nonstop basically until 5:00. Power went off at 3am and came back around 6am so not to bad. We survived fine. I have been told there may be damage to the house we are building unforturnately. We willl have to check it out. The tornado warning expired also. It was very scary almost worse then the hurricane, you just have no clue what would happen next. Thanks for thinking of us. Hoping power would stay off so school would be canceled, but its back. Thanks again, and we are glad we are safe. Have a great day everyone.DVC4US said:Matt - hope you made it through the night safe and sound. We get tornados in Iowa also and when the weather gets bad it can be scary. check in with us sometime today so we know you are okay.
scuba diver said:You posted yesterday how it was scary that DW and I posted the same thing about the school bus.....What is really scary is that I said the exact same think when I read the post. Now I am starting to think like you. It's scary....![]()

I remember going to church camp, and for the first dinner, they told us we were getting steak. Once instead, they confessed it was "tube" steak. Very funny!ohiominnie said:When I was little (and my parents struggled more to make ends meet) I remember my dad cooking steaks on the grill. But only enough for my mom and himself--and it wasn't often at all. For the kids he cooked hot dogs...but he CALLED them "tube steaks." Ah, what you believe when you're young and stupid.
Unexpected TOP! I'll take it! Shared with MrsMork, of course!
Glad you are safe and sound.Donalds_best_pal said:We made it through fine. We have a weather radio since our area is known for bad weather. Absolutely. I remember asking my mom to go to a McDonalds' type restaurant when I was younger. She replied "I don't have any money". I said "You can go to the money mover (our banks ATM at the time)." Her answer "The money mover doesn't move when there's no money to move."WDWLVR said:Mark and I talked about that once - how growing up going to McDonalds was a major event that maybe we did once or twice a year!
Very much a simplier time.
What is that line...it was the best of times it was the worst of times.
That explains it......ohiominnie said:Paul. In the confusing Debbie call yesterday she mentioned you were waitlisted for main and it came through. Now, don't hold me to this as that was early in the conversation and it got more and more confusing from there!!
Happy birthday Denise! I just had my 40th too. And we're fellow deck 2 folks. 2573. I just filled out my docs this morning, and they stil have that room number, so a higher deck request just never came through.Denise Escola said:Hi everybody,

Still have to pack.I lagg. DH got me good this weekend. Thought we were going to San Francisco for work and ended up at a spa all day and then a big suprise party. Whew what a hangover the next day...margaritas were endless.
I'm 40 now. Doesn't feel any different . Scored about 6 bottles of wine from friends...do you think theres a trend happening here?
Well we are off to dinner. I'm not cooking on my holiday.
cheers to all, -D![]()
Our Michael's offers all kinds of classes for kids. I'm sure they offer scrapbooking too. It's usually Saturday mornings.ohiominnie said:Oh scrapbooking queen. KT has told me a few times recently that she wants to learn how to scrapbook. I am NOT creative in that way...give me a complex cross stitch pattern, and I can do it, but don't make me DESIGN anything.
Anyway, do you know...would local scrapbooking stores have classes for kids? I'd like to look into it after the cruise.
Dancing with you here Sue! In fact, I'm going to open up the smilies for the first time on the new board.dobelover said:And guess what UPS found?

Leslie: Adding you to my prayer list. Why does all this stuff have to happen now? It seems like we've all had a run of bad times? Well, that's why God gave us supportive friends... to pull us through them, huh? I know I've gotten a lot of comfort from this group.DisneyPinDiva said:Just had a long post disappear into cyberspace somewhere... aaarrrggghh!
Eyes are bugging out after spending last three hours trying to catch up on 60 pages of posts. Sorry I haven't been posting and participating as much as I'd like. We are going thru a rough time with Jessie... not knowing how much longer she has is tearing us apart. With the cruise getting closer by the minute, we are worried she will take a turn for the worst and our DD(24) will have to deal with it while we are gone. Please keep all of us in your thoughts and prayers. It is an agonizing time and we don't want to force the issue before her time out of convenience. Because of all of this drama, we have nothing packed... and I am starting to panic.
Sorry, don't mean to be a downer... just had to vent a bit I guess and get it out of my system
I was on the computer during lightning, yes.DVC4US said:Glad you are safe and sound.
Now I am going to put on my Mom hat. What are you doing on the computer when the weather is that bad? If the thunderstorms are that bad then the lightening must be bad (I know I grew up in Florida) so you don't need to be on the computer. Okay, now I am taking off my Mom hat.
Have a great day.
