Lisa is not allowed to tell that story. We are saving that one for Ladies Night on the ship.

But....did anyone see the episode of Raymond where they all think Robert is gay...and his girlfriend called herself a "spatula", becaused she thought she turned him gay???
I know how she feels.

Is the men's group going to hear it as well sometime?

One thing you can't leave behind is a hat! The sun is much stronger down there than up here in the states.

I'm here. Tired as all get out, but I knew if I stayed away I'd never catch up. After all, I've only been "gone" 24 hours and I had 33 pages of posts to read. Had to "speed read" them or I'd never ever catch up. And nearly as fast as I could read them, more pages appeared! I felt like I was in sinking sand! :)

Few things to make note of:

Vicki...you went to a SPORTS BANQUET? Didn't you just have surgery?? Honey, we need to talk. You STINK at milking things for all they are worth!! Not that I'm guilty of that!! :guilty:

Stacey et all.... The movie quote has not been figured out yet. Let me give you a hint. The main star of the movie the quote came from was also in Toy Story. ;)

Scubas...Lisa better be coming to dinners. After all, that's what I used to bribe KT to actually eat dinner with us...."Lisa will be there..." :)

dee, by now you've seen Lion King and know it's amazing. I saw it in Cincinnati a couple years ago. Had a migraine when I saw it, and it was still amazing. I can only imagine how great it would have been had I been well! (btw, the pounding drums intensify a migraine!)

Mary, you're doing Palo 12/26. Isn't that the same day as the Palo brunch? Are you not going to that?

Juletime...you saw the Lion King in London? I wished I'd have known it was here, I wouldn't have had to travel to Cincy to see it! (see hometown at left)

Juletime...what's this about your "dh living just below the castle?" Isn't the DUNGEON "just below" the castle? Why was he there? ;)

Gus, Pixie dust to you with your hernia. I had one in 7th grade. It showed up just after my sister had 1 ovary and most of the 2nd ovary removed b/c of cysts. I was so worried that's what was wrong with me that I didn't tell anyone for months. When I finally did, my mom took me to the doc and it was gone....said if it ever showed back up to call him. It never did!

Virgil...post #1000 nearly led me to tears. Beautiful.

Stacey/Kevin...permits...blech! Yes, it's just a way for the gov't to make money. We had to have a permit for our sunroom. They were supposed to inspect every step. Know when they came? When it was all drywalled/floored/painted and furnished. They then checked off that the electrical and all that jazz was "done correctly." How the heck did he know? Another irritating part was that he just let himself into our house without knocking. I turned the corner and there he was!!

Virgil...I may have had 0 posts to read to originally catch up, but today I had 33 pages of posts to read to catch up. And remember, I was gone for awhile and I never did catch up with all those posts.

Stacey...aufweidersein is spelled incorrectly. It's spelled just like it's pronounced "I'llBeTheSame" ;)

Stacey...tell Lisa I said Hi. Also, glad to know you're feeling better. I'm not. I went to EASTON tonight and bought the you know what we talked about. I think I'm going to cry!!! :)

Virgil...Just for you...Cappy's pizza last night, Easton today, and we'll probably do Cappy's tomorrow with my brother b/c I'm too overworked to even THINK about cooking!

Puppy class tomorrow, two performances and my brother and his wife are coming to spend the weekend. Two performances on Sunday too....I'm afraid I'll miss 20,000! :(

Let me hit "submit reply" to find out I just missed out on 3 more pages of posts.

I don't feel so bad....a lot of people have had one(hernias)

OK, let me try to post again....haven't had much luck posting. Just hoping it works tonite.

DH got his Everquest game up and running after months of being down (no server). For those unfamiliar with this game, it is as addicting as these boards, maybe even more. He is a level 54 wizard which I guess is somewhat impressive...

So what does this mean for me. It means NO COMPUTER time for me. I have to go on during the day when I'm not busy with the kids (HA, HA) or at midnight when he has been killed off too early by some medevil org or something.

Anyway, I try to keep up on the posting but rarely have time to chime in. And last night I typed this long post and it wouldn't accept it (thanks, Mark, I did try to delete my cookies and it didn't help).

Vicki, so glad everything went well and you're feeling better.

Lisa, glad things went well with your FIL. You are in my thoughts.

Gus, I will send pixie dust your way. DH has had two hernia operations in the last 10 years. I can tell you he waited a good two years before he got the second one after they told him. He just didn't want to deal with the "down time". He is so stubborn. I hope it is good news (any operation can wait) when you go for your ultra sound.

Welcome to the boards, Jeri. So glad more people are joining the fray.

Mary, saw the navigators and I think they look great. Thanks for all you have done to bring this group closer together.

Stacey, you just crack me up!!!

OK, let's see if I can get this thing to post.

All right....there is another one who had one.

A few more things I can take off my to do list:

  • Thank you cards printed
  • Travelers cheques purchased
  • Tip money sorted

Mary....Just curious do you put the tip money in envelopes and have them ready to go.

Great idea.....saves precious time onboard.

My HH dropped by this am, unexpected, and
hung a new light in the basement
cleaned up the area around the back door, leaves, mud, yukky stuff
cleaned out the gutters
replaced the furnace filter and water filter
hung some pix

No wonder I'm tired

Hi! We're hoooome......but not for long. Leaving right now (I just got caught up on the reading) to take the kids to dinner with our friends. Not that Jay & I are hungry...lots of food at that party. Will tell more about it when we get back.

I was shocked that we aren't at 20,000

Started raining when we left for the party, hasn't stopped. Supposed to get worse throughout tomorrow. And we may get snow!

Jeri....make "reindeer food" and take it in a baggie...
Cheerios and glitter. But then again....there won't be any birdies to come eat it before the kids get up.
Never mind.
Back later,
Stacey

Tom McAlpin, president of DCL is planning on sailing with us. He told me there is a slight chance he will have to cancel due to personal reasons. And no he said he isnt staying in the roy or walt disney suites, they were booked he says, lol. But actually I am closer friends with the old DCL president Karl Holz, he is now COO and President of EuroDisney. He seriously told me when I am in college to let him know and when I complete it he will seriously try to hook me up. My dream is to work in WDI or Walt Disney Theme Park Operations. I have never met Tom since he is a new. Karl introduced me to him over email. Tom says if he comes, he would love to meet me and invite me to Palo's private room for dinner one night, now wouldnt that me cool. He told me to email him next week and see what his plans are. I sure hope he comes. I dont really know if I should be shairing all this information, so please dont go around advertising it on the cruise, he deserves his privacy since his family will be joining him also, not that any of you would do that, but you never know.
2 weeks to go!
Matt

I am quite surprised that Stacey/Lisa & Diana didn't continue to 20000 last night. At the current rate we will not even get there today and we don't have but a few more to go. Where is everyone? Dinner; parties; work; puppy lessons....

I bought another strand of lights for the cabin today. I hope I don't blow a fuse or set my cabin on fire.

I'm finally all caught up.....that took hours.

Are we going to hit the 20,000 tonight?

You mean everyone has something more important to do on a Saturday night.
