I sent UPS an email.

My next step will be to ask Lisa, Stacey's evil twin, to intervene.

An e-mail will just NOT do. Lisa wants to call UPS RIGHT NOW and demand to know just what the bloody devil they think they are doing!!!!!!!
Lisa is just a little upset for you, Sue...she's going to go take 3 Prozac.

Virgil.....I was just sent an email on how to perform self CPR.

It involves heavy coughing and heavy breathing.

I presume its bogus: if you are performing self CPR you should be unconscious without a pulse.

Believe it or not - it does work.... One of the reasons they have patients cough in the cardiac cath lab when they do something..... I've seen patients cough through v-fib (no heart beat) for almost a minute..... The problem is - you have to realize that you're having a heart attack = realize that your heart is about to stop.... and start coughing before you black out..... The technical reason is that cough causes increased intra-thoracic (in the chest) pressures that can cause blood flow.

If we really want to hit 20,000 in record time (under the 4 days it took to get to 19,000) we could always "chat" in the thread tonight. Instead of going into chat come on the thread and do our talking. That should be good for a couple of hundred posts and those who can't normally get into chat could join in.

Morning all. I won't be joining you tonight either on the thread chat or in the normal chat. We have a girl scout sleep over tonight, so be thinking kind thoughts! Or maybe send me some sleeping pills? For the girls of course!!!

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for my DFIL. I just talked to my MIL, and she said that the surgery went pretty well. They were able to successfully attach the wire, and now he's just going through the post-surgery recovery (kind of like Vicki I guess!).

So last night and this morning, my DIS boards were being cranky. They wouldn't give me a "Post Reply" button. I went to bed, thinking there was a problem with the boards. Apparently NOT! HH told me to reboot, and that did the trick. Who else was having problems? Magiroux?

Stacey and Vicki, I would have kept you company last night. Instead, I got a good nights sleep.

Pretty sure that quote is from Alice in Wonderland. Haven't we had that trivia question before?

They must have moved where desktop is stored on 2k/xp. When I made the exe it asked for a default path to unzip to so I just browsed to Desktop and set it that way.

I'm going to be upgrading to 2K when we get back, should be interesting.

That is probably the reason. In 2K the windows directory is called WINNT.

Windows 2K is primaraly for business applications, I like it and have all the work computers running it as well. XP is easier to set up and transfer files and settings from when you upgrading. Just get XP professional NOT home version. Home really stinks!!

Just checking in before I have to start doing some real work --- some "important" people are coming next week so we have to make everything look pretty in case they walk around --- so lots of cleaning around here. If any of you work in an IT dept you know it just lends itself to junk!!!!

Quick Question --- does anyone know if you can bring knitting needles on the plane --- both DD's are suddenly interesting is knitting!!! Also, this may be a dumb question but I just recently started using aerosol hairspray --- is it okay????

I thought you could not, but Check TSA list of permited and banned items for more information. Appearently, you can take knitting needles on. But you Can't take your catttle prod on board!!
