Believe it or not - it does work.... One of the reasons they have patients cough in the cardiac cath lab when they do something..... I've seen patients cough through v-fib (no heart beat) for almost a minute..... The problem is - you have to realize that you're having a heart attack = realize that your heart is about to stop.... and start coughing before you black out..... The technical reason is that cough causes increased intra-thoracic (in the chest) pressures that can cause blood flow.

Very interesting....I thought for sure it was nonsense.

It went on about being in a car by yourself and the closest hospital being several minutes away and what you must do to save yourself.

Thanks....hope I'll never have to use that one.

When's your Palo night?
We're now doing it 12/26 at 6:30.

We did have it as 12/20, but really wanted to do it on either formal or semi-formal.

Morning all. I won't be joining you tonight either on the thread chat or in the normal chat. We have a girl scout sleep over tonight, so be thinking kind thoughts! Or maybe send me some sleeping pills? For the girls of course!!!

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for my DFIL. I just talked to my MIL, and she said that the surgery went pretty well. They were able to successfully attach the wire, and now he's just going through the post-surgery recovery (kind of like Vicki I guess!).

Off to read the rest of the boards. Talk to you all later. Lisa

Glad to hear things went pretty good.

I have a story to tell, Jay just got home from work...7 p.m.:

Here's a story
of a lovely package...
That's been riding in a brown truck for three days......

UPS man says it ain't his route

If he really cared, I seriously doubt.

Tired he finally got of looking at it...
Knew he must deliver, or he'd be in deep sh*#

So to our shop he brought this lovely package
And darling husband brought it home to me

So now, we all will be a family.....
A great big crazy cruising bunch!!

Speaking of the Brady Bunch.....................

Had to laugh when I read this last night. Tomorrow Jamie (DD12) does one of her last "jobs" as Radio Disney KidCaster for 2004. Well the 10 finalists for 2005 have to do a live interview at the mall with a "celebrity". Guess who is coming and they are interviewing?

Mike Lookinland from...............you guessed it..................

THE BRADY BUNCH!!

Jamie gets to introduce him to the audience and talk to him before she introduces the first finalist. Should be fun.

Of course, she has no clue who the guy is!!!

Anyway, I'll get a pic of him so everyone can see what he really looks like now that he is more mature (not older, just more mature!!!)

Yeah right!!!

Linda

I have just been going through all the pre-boarding docs to fill in. On the list it says 'Embarkation Form (1 per Guest)' - but I don't have any of these in my pack. Do I need to panic or will they just give me some at the port?

Thanks

That's exactly what I do. I remove all of the forms that need completion and have them paper clipped together by type. I bring the book as well, the individual who allows you in to drop off your luggage at the port usually wants to see how many "books" you have and make sure it matches the number of people in your vehicle. The Disney Represenitive is usually very pleased I am so well organized. I hate to get behind someone who has not filled out their paperwork before boarding - Oh that's right, I haven't been behind anyone the last three cruises. Here's hoping for good luck on this trip. :flower1: :flower1: :flower1:

Ok...here is a question.
Can DW and two very excited, surprised children check-in a missing DH.
( What if I left her with my DOCS and passport? )
I have to return the car which we rented after dropping off the luggage.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks

Gus

This is just like the old days.....talking to myself.

I have a document question:

I don't remember if I did this the last times or not....can I take out the pages in the docs that aren't important/don't pertain to us? Just to lighten the load?

Anyone out there?
Guess it can wait until tomorrow.

I was just thinking (dangerous....)

You know, if it takes you over the 50 lb. limit on your baggage, I wouldn't want you to have to pay that extra $$$$ to the airlines, so I say

LIGHTEN THAT LOAD!!!!!

Oh wow, I'd love to see it in London!

Thanks, Mary and Jeri! Now I'm even more excited, if that was possible!

Ok....I have to tell everyone something......

Just got back from my doctor.

First ultrasound....they suspect a hernia.

Going for another one ASAP to confirm it or not. They are squeezing in an appointment for me on Monday.
If so, my Doc says, "it has to be fixed, we can't leave it like that"

All this surgery talk.....say it isn't so.
Not before the cruise.

My initial thoughts are:
I've got extended health coverage, airlift me if need be. ( or is that an extra cost )
I'll take my chances.

I'm not sure I'll heal in time if I go under the knife. I want to be able to enjoy myself.

Might have to talk with Virgil after Monday's ultrasound.

Yes, I am partial to London as I met my DH while living in Windsor (just below the Castle). Well thats the romantic version, the alternative is we met in a pub in Windsor, technically near the Castle as well. :D

Gus, sending lots of Pixie Dust your way!! Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!
