Thanks, guys....MATH, especially......heck, Jordan just learned to write her name last year!! Only kidding!! But, Diana...you met her....she's blonde! (No offense to any of our intelligent blondes)

Virgil....there is no way she would come home and study.
Yesterday, I was doing laundry, swept outside, bunch of other stuff.....told the kids to either do some school work or clean their rooms...the answer was "But it's the weekend! ".....
WE work on the weekends. Kids. Why did I have them? I wanted to go dancing those nights.

Jordan did actually finally clean her room, though.

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Unexpected T.O.P.!!! (again) :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I guess the only night we still need to speculate about is semi-formal night. What is usually the theme on that night? Alicia has about 3-4 formal dresses to choose from, wish I had her options. I found an incredible sale, brought several home, and she loved all of them, didn't want me to take any back. They were so inexpensive, we did keep them. She goes to high school next year, you never know.

Stacey, hope your bum is OK.

That porthole blowing on the Wonder - can you imagine what those people thought. Even if they were awake at the time (worse if awoken from a deep sleep) they must have thought the ship was sinking!

Excellent Thanks.......nice surprise for DD.

Diana, Jordan has several "formals" too....they were on sale! LOL

I guess the girls will just have to be all dressed up, no matter what "night" it is.

So if I give my children charging privileges, there is the arcade, the stores, anything else? Do they need a card with charging priveleges to order room service if we are not in the room (for tip)?

ALso, when we were there 5 years ago it was the height of the pokemon card craze and Disney had their own trading cards. Do they still do that on board?

Rain, rain, go away.....

I guess the sooner I leavem the better my chances are of getting back home.

Have a great day, everyone!

And Virgil....too true...Sarah MUST know me!!

It's POURING! Can I just stay here all day??? didn't think so

Bye!

They still had the trading cards a year ago, but Jared didn't find very many.

Room service is "free/included"....no charge.
My two didn't abuse the charging privilege.....Jordan only purchased one $10 game card, and Jared got two. Neither one ever went into the stores without me....so it depends on the kids.

Kevin mentioned setting up our double clothing rack and putting our clothes on it next weekend. I hope he and I can get half the rack!

So I guess we really will be getting ready to go next weekend. Can't spend time on the boards anyway. That's going to be tough!

I just realized we are spending three nights at WDW after the cruise, and I only have one PS. I'd better get busy, or we will starve. No way to get into restaurants without a PS at Holiday times. And we will be accustomed to being fed regularly.

Booksw, we didn't give our daughter charging last time, went to the desk and had it taken off. Not because she might abuse it, but because she was most likely to lose her card.

We take a handful of $1 or $2 bills and keep them in the drawer nearest the door. They're handy if you need to give room service a couple of dollars, and you might have some left to tip the valets when you get off the ship.

gaRry

Thanks Diana!
How do you get $2 bills? That's a great idea! I'll at least come prepared with a fist full of "ones".

The whole losing thing is a good point. My oldest (DS 11 yo) is especially prone to losing things.

Does anyone else have a DS 11, DS 8 or DD 6yo?

Also, do the kids typically get dressed up for the Captain's GALA?

-Sarah

Sarah,

I have two DSs - 12 and 10

I'm thinking I won't give my two charging privileges as I can't see why they might need them.
If it wasn't for the arcade cards I would probably give them it but its not worth the risk. On our cruise last year they did have charging privileges and weren't too bad - but they needed it then to get soda with meals. Soda is free on Disney isn't it? With meals and from the drink station.
And ice cream is free at Scoops - so what could they need to charge?

Angela

I booked a hotel at Gatwick for the night before our flight as we have to be there nice and early. Filled in everything online. Printed off my confirmation and realised I'd booked it for 2005 not 2004. Dont know what I was thinking when I did that.
Still the very nice lady at customer services has sorted it out for me and we are booked for 2004 now. I really must stop planning so far in advance as it obviously confuses me.

I never read that on the boards or in the newspaper. When was this cruise?

It's a good thing you noticed! I once showed up at the airport with mu husband and three kids and was told I had booked the flight for the day BEFORE! That was bad but at least it was before 9/11 so managing the airports and last minute flights was a bit easier.

Stacey- I think Jason and Jared are going to get along great. We have been having the long hair debate going on here for the past few weeks. I finally gave in and told him he could grow it as long as he wanted until a week before the cruise and then it was getting cut wether he liked it or not! I am just ordering his tux onboard since I didn't want to buy something and then have to have it altered. Hopefully they will be able to fit him okay with the measurements I have.
Ouch about the slip. Hope your okay.

Diana- we have been trying to decide about our WDW days too. We only have one PS ressie made. I may have to make a few others but have no idea what we will want to do. I have a feeling we are going to be exhaused!

I'm off the gym. Still working on that 10 lbs

Wow so many movies.
