might as well snag a TOP as long as I'm alone.
that's no fun!

I'm here. I spent the whole day shopping. Got a couple of things for the cruise, then went to Super Wal-mart to get the food for Thanksgiving. Got most of it done and stashed in the garage.

Forgot about chat.... I was too busy in the ER... Now I get to go home....

Hi everyone........just invited "Dare to Dream" over.

Hope he/she can find their way over.

Gus

BTW.....thankyou for all the nice Birthday wishes.

You made her smile today.

I invited jtrain73 and irvingp over. Saw them on the main cruise board.... but I guess they aren't interested.....

I'll email DaretoDream (intercot board) also...

I shopped today too. Three estate sales, only one was good. Then a stop to try and find some clothes to wear on the cruise. I bought a pair of pants and a blouse, not too good a haul. I did find some cute things for DD though, she's easy.

Virgil, good job on the recruiting. Maybe they will come over and join the fun.

I think we're just all pooped from the big push this week to get to 15,000. Plus, Stacey went to bed.

:wave2: Hello everybody,

forgot about chat tonight...actually by the time I get around to it, it's too late. Darn left coast.

TGIF. whew. I finally went to the doctor this week. Severe nasal infection. A shot, antibiotics and cough meds with codene and I'm feeling better.

Off to bed to rest up for Saturday at the mall with the kids. Grocery store and slaying a giant clothes monster.

cheers all and TTFN. -D:wave2:

Wow, thanks everyone for your encouragement. Last time I tested, I knew my form just great until I got up in front of the judges and audience...and completely blanked out...It took me 3 tries (that's embarrassing!) to get it right…but at least I passed. Eventually.

I still plan on working out; we should all have a TKD session before the wine and cheese party. That way, we won’t feel guilty!

Tksbaskets, congrats to your son! That’s neat! I have a ways to go before I reach black belt, but I have my eye on the prize! ::yes::

I’ll be in my 1st tournament the day after my test. Jim, let us know how Matt did judging his first…

OMG!!!!!! 5 Weeks!!!!!!! No wonder the posts are flying by on this board. We did over 1000 posts in a week!

Well off to read the boards and then do shopping. house cleaning etc.

Have a great day everyone!

For those who are thinking about taking christmas lights for the cabin, I came across these in my backpacking magazine.

They are multicolored LED christmas lights which run off on 4 AAA batteries. Since they are LED the batteries last a very long time. The magazine thought they would be great on a tent.

The address is inklinglights.com/intro.html

Merry Christmas!

Ohiominnie - DS watching Sports Center this morning. Not good news about that O team.

Oh, congrats on the OSU vs MSU. Next weekend is the big game.

Really? I have no idea what the spread is. I've been so busy this week. As if I wasn't busy enough last night I got home from ballet and made buckeyes (peanut butter and powdered sugar balls dipped in chocolate) Will send some to work with Mike today and will take some to our neighbors. They invited us to watch the game on their big screen TV, but I had forgotten that I'd be bringing home post op dog today. I'll run some over for their party too.

The BEST news about the game today is that it is away. It is frigid here!! Right now it's 34, feels like 27. The best news is I don't have to worry about KT going to the game and being cold. :) We'll watch it in the comfort of our toasty warm living room.

It was nice to talk to Gail, Virgil, John ( goofydadeo ) in Chat last night.
It has been a very long time since I was there last.

Had to leave there in a hurry as my daughter got out of bed and wanted to sit on my lap while I was typing.

Still trying to keep our trip a big surprise.

I so much wanted to chat longer.........

Gus

Good Morning Everyone:wave:

Well, we have about 6 inches of snow on the ground here and the plows and sanders woke me up WAY TOO early this AM.

The strangest thing has happened with getting into this website. I have not been able to get in for days:( :( and thought maybe something awful had happened to the site. As it stands now I can only access this site by going thru Mary's Monorail link (Thanks Mary). No other way works. I just get an error that the server is down and it is only happening when I try to get here. Being a computer dummie, I have no idea what the issue is.

Anyway, went to this cool party last night. It was at a friend's home and she had Pampered Chef, Longerberger Baskets, Party Lite Candles, Southern Home, Tastefully Simple, Osbourne Books, and a few other Jewlery and Clothing Reps. Well, it makes the $$$$ I spent at the Stampin Up Monday Night (yes, Mary I love them too) look like a drop in the bucket. Boy, am I in trouble with DH

Stacey, what a great job putting the wine party together!!! You're the best.

Sue, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. How is she doing? Please pm an address where I can send her a card. I hope she is better in time to cruise.

Happy & Belated Veteran's Day and Thanks to all who have (and are presently) serving our country. You are very much appreciated!!

And a Happy Belated Birthday to Sandra. Hope you had a great day.

Went to see the Polar Express at Imax 3D the other day and I absolutely loved it. It is one of the most beautifully illustrated books and I think they captured that in the movie. Tom Hanks was a bit much playing all those parts though (JMHO). Got kinda tired if his voice after a while.

Yeah - grabbed a top. I think I lost my top lead long ago to Stacey but I've got to try and catch up and what better time then when she is out of town. :D

Speaking of Stacey - great job on the wine party! That is very, very cool!

Speaking of movies....

There are movies I can watch over and over again and never get sick of:

E.T.
The Last Emperor
Steel Magnolias
Midnight Run (Robert DeNiro, Charles Grogin)
Lord of the Rings (all of them but Return of the King just blew me away)

Holiday Movies:

The Year Without a Santa Claus
Oliver!! (the 1968 one with Oliver Reed)

I was thinking about that this morning while standing at Mother Ship (HomeDepot) and bought weed killer which was right next to the christmas display. I'm working in the front yard today pulling weeds. That still seems strange when it's almost Christmas time.

This could be the last weed pulling for a while. DW and I decided to just pull it all out and put in grass. We are tired of the maintenance and hate spending time working in the yard. It takes away from gymnastics and diving. It is all coming out, grass is going in, and the lawn guys can mow it.

Grass has to look better than 3 ft weeds.

And you'll be able to see the dog better!!

Speaking of dog.... I need to finish my breakfast and go pick up the poor pup. I got a case of the guilts last night on the way home from ballet--we passed the vet and it was all dark and lonely there. She could have come home last night, but I abandoned her there. Does that mean I'm actually starting to LIKE her? Ugh, I shudder at the thought!
