Gus - I know that they give out Pirate bandanas.... some will be dressed up - most will not.... I doubt that I'll have anything special...

The only reason that I'd like to know what nights are what so that I can plan on Palo. I'd like to take both DW and DD (Kristin) to Palo..... so I'd love to have some idea of things......and of course - we do want to be in Lumiere's on formal night....

Silly question, but . . . .

We have early dining in deference to Lisa who doesn't want to miss anything in the kids program, but wants to eat dinner with our family and me, who feels better if I eat earlier.

Matt (DS14) who can eat anytime and all of the time was bemoaning the fact that we have early dining and it appears most of the teens have late dining. He said he would be happy to eat with his family at 6pm, but wondered if he could "crash" the teen group at late sitting as well. (He really can eat two dinners. I would weigh 300 lbs if I ate two dinners each eveing). I told him I didn't know. I know a number of the younger siblings supposedly do not eat in dining rooms every night. So, if you want an extra teen one night, just have your teen tell Matt its ok to come. I think he is afraid he is missing out on the fun you are all going to have at dinner. Sharon

Hi Stacey.........

Yes, as our family is new to DCL, we are not sure what is in store for us with these theme nights.
So....... for us, it doesn't really seem too important either.

Thanks for any comments in regards to theme nights.

Gus

Gus - On our previous cruises, eastern- tropicali and western- mexicali lots of ppl wore 'hawaiian garb'. Flower shirts, sarong type dresses. DCL gave everyone a lei. It is easier to wear something tropical than squeeze into one of the wench outfits. ;)

Gus, Virgil may have a different reason, but I would think that it's because other than Palo, Lumieres is the nicest restaurant. It would be lovely to be dressed for formal night in Lumieres. If I have guessed right and Sunday the 26th will be the Captain's Gala, then we would be in Parrot Cay for the formal night. Yech! Sounds like a night at Palo's to me. Sorry, there may be some that like PC, but it's my least favorite.

Here are some other reasons I would like to know ahead of time:

1. Don't want to eat at Palo the night before we have our Palo brunch. The food is fabulous, but too rich for us to eat back to back like that. I want to enjoy every bite!:earseek:

Huh...now I can't think of the other reasons. Oh well, I guess I can post them later. Help get Karen to her 20,000 post!

Cheers, Kara

Congratulations GaRry!!

As far as the schedule goes; It doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I'll take the tux, a suit and other appropriate dinner wear and wear them as appropriate. You all might see me in the same thing twice, but since I'm a "guy" nobody will even notice....

Why asked the newbie?

Gus

It's the fanciest of the restaurants....

Better atmosphere for being all dressed up....

Animator's Palate would be second....

Parrot Cay last....

I agree that knowing which night to schedule Palo's would be the only reason I need to know the theme nights. Would not want to be in Palo's and miss Pirate night.

Sounds like a fun to me! Just tell him he has to dance with the girls as well as eat with them and he'll be "golden":sunny:

Who hasn't had a milestone post? We'll have to go back and do a recap. I don't think Stacey has had one yet.

Stacey has been the pirate: on the tops and the posts. Think she stole (just like a pirate: ) right out from under me.

Unfortunately, I don't have the spare time to go back 1000 pages to find them! This pirate: has some work to do before Stacey/Jay and Robert/Linda meet up in Vegas on Saturday!!!!

Stacey- It was Linda's that you stole and I think it might have been 7777 or 8888 or something like that!!!!

Gus

Having just returned from WDW, we raided the shop at the Pirates of the Carribean attraction and got patches, earring, swords, chains, (DH said I could be his "wench") and other misc. garb.

It was pretty dang funny going through the ride. My DH.......oh you could get a red dress just like her with the red hair. Do you think anyone would make the connection? (Obviously, he isn't quite the Disney fanatic like the rest of us).

and then he says......oh...look at the pants, you can make those for the guys really easy. So it looks like we are all dressing up. Also got the grandsons pirate hats and had their names put on "Pirate Porter" and "Captain Nick".

Never have ridden through Pirates of the Carribean specifically looking at what each pirate was dressed liked though. Quite an enlightening experience!

No...that was my nasty evil twin sister Lisa who did that!!

Linda...while you were having fun in WDW you missed hearing about evil twin Lisa!
And the lime green sweater fits....so that's how you'll find me!!

I am slowly getting things laid out to pack for tomorrow. I keep stopping and doing more little cruise things.....I need to stay on task!!

We have only been on the Wonder, and they didn't have any special nights....on our 4 night, we knew which night was our 2nd at Parrot Cay, so that's when we did Palo.

And NO KIDDING is it easier to fit into tropical clothes than the wench costume. I am wearing it, Jordan will wear one, but Jay and Jared only have hats. And if anyone laughs at me......

Now I AM truly going to go finish packing for tomorrow....

honest

here I go

I'm leaving

Oh, I did read about your evil twin sister Lisa as I skimmed over 40 pages this morning. So, is it your evil twin Lisa or Stacey that we are meeting up with in Vegas?

OK - here is the history of the milestone posts:
