Do you remember the times for both parades?

By the way our family is there on the 16th. Anyone else?

Gus

We are going on the 16th. Maybe we can meet for a bit.

Ok...my turn to talk to myself.

One last question from a newbie.

Do the suites on the Magic have fridges?

Hope everyone has a great night.

Gus

Gus - the rooms have a small "ice box" looks like a small dorm refrigerator.... keeps things cool - not cold.....

One trick we've found is if it's behind doors - to keep the doors open so that the air can circulate....

Did some searching. A U-haul is pretty expensive for the length of time we'd need it (and most of the time it'd be sitting there empty)

So I was thinking something like this:
http://www.stowaway2.com/item.asp?ProductID=7

I'd go rooftop hardshell except for two things....one, they don't seem to have THAT much storage space. Secondly, the kids, my parents, and Mike can't schelp the luggage up that high (Mike gets costrocondritis if he lifts anything too heavy, too high) so that leaves ME to haul the luggage up and down. YUCK!

Anyone use anything like this? What's the actual capacity? (I know they say 12.5 cubic feet, but I'm talking capacity in terms of how many suitcases and what size. :)

re the u-haul have you checked to see if there is a dealer in the area - drop off family and return it and have one reserved for the trip home?
We also have checked into the cartop carriers. Sears has one that is larger than the 12.5 cu ft. There also is a samsanite soft carrier that was 15+ (can't remember the exact cu ft) that was good for even cars without roof rack. hope the info helps

Good Morning Cruisers! We are coming down on the 17th too, but we are staying at the Raddison down near the ship. We have stayed at MCO before and were really bored staying at the airport. And when I was booking the rooms, the Hyatt was high and I called the Raddison we got a suite for only $129 for the night. With DS taking a red eye in from CA and we are flying out of Bostonat 6:30 am - I figured at least DS could sleep and DH and I could veg in another room and watch TV or at least go for a walk. and it beats booking 2 rooms!

Red Jenny Flint - that is Great that you saved all that - I love flying JetBlue, they are a good airline and the Boston flights prove it - they fill up fast.

We are staying on after the cruise at SSR, which we just purchased while down in WDW this past Arpil. We will be there till Jan 4th and would love to meet up with others. My sisters are meeting us, one from here (Boston) and my other sister is driving up from the Wellington area of FL

Mary Great job on the Newsletter! Please count me in for the Door Tag!

Well time to jump in the shower - I was up till 1:30am EST and up today at 4:45am to go to work. My sister and I have a big show this weekend - she has a line of "Posh" Kidz clothes and I make specity hats for little girls to go with them. If you would like to see pictures email me and I would love to share!

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Thursday everyone!

Wow you guys were talkative last night :D

We have an update to the photo gallery We have added goofydadeo's family. Come and meet them. John & his wife just celebrated 25 years of marriage this August and his birthday is the 16th of this month!

And who is staying after the cruise? I know Tinkfan is, we are. Will attempt to fit the Candlelight Processional, the Osbourne lights, and the Christmas parade at MK into three days. Oh, and there's a special Holiday ending being added to Illuminations, some changes to the AK parade for the Holidays, and the new Stitch attraction to see. I don't think we will be slowing down until we get home on NYE!

Sue, glad the bonine worked for you.

The best part of MVMCP is not having to stand on a curb for two hours to save a spot for the Christmas parade. It's a "don't miss" and they change it every year.

We'll be staying for exactly one day after the cruise. The plan is to take a limo over to Beach Club where we are spending the night. Then go over to Magic Kingdom to do Stitch. Then we have PS at Coral Reef and the 2nd showing of the Candlelight Processional. We'll then stay for Illuminations.

Going to have to miss Osborne lights this year but we have seen them in past years and enjoyed them.

Gus

Parades last year were 8:15 & 10:45.

Also they had the special holiday version of Wishes at 9:15. Do not miss this! During the MVMCP they add on extra fireworks and they circle the park! It is wonderful!

As for the parade - my favorite part is the wooden soldiers. I had always wanted to see them in person after seeing them on tv for so many years. A couple of years ago they had a walking bag of cinnamon that when he walked past you could smell it - so cute. Didn't see him last year.

Mark......have all the repairs been done to the resort since the hurricane. I hope so. Gus

From what info I've been reading, the only things that might not be ready is the beach access, and a few of the outbuildings, due to water damage. Not that we're going to be there long enough to actually make much use of it.

We bought at Vero more for my parents who will spend an entire week at Cocoa Beach doing mostly nothing, and thought they'd like a change of scenery, which they have, and the fact they are near/at retirement and this'd be a way for them to continue going on a less expense. We're actually going to stay there ourselves for the first time. :)

Please, oh Please check to see if I'm on your list. I PM'd you a long time ago and I want to verify all is well.

We are staying at the Hyatt on 17th aswell. We don't fly in from the UK until 9pm so we will be shattered by then and can just fall into bed. We will be up real early though so I'm hoping the shops open early as I have lots of things I need to pick up before we head over to the port.

We have 2 nights after the cruise staying at Cypress Pointe and will be heading into Disney to get some value from our annual passes.

Angela

Hi GaRry - I pm'd you awhile ago about the shirts and just want to make sure you got it... if not, we would like an XL and a L and if you are doing kids shirts, we would like one that would fit a youth size 12 or 14. Thanks so much...

I forgot to mention before that we are staying at Old Key West. Another first for us. Of all the times we've been to WDW we have never stayed on site... Should be fun... [/B]

Let me know how you like OKW --- we are staying there in June and I'm anxious to know how others like it. We always stay on site but we've never been to a Vacation Club resort --- we are renting points from a friend.

We also got a little mailer from AKL yesterday for our stay before the cruise --- we won't have much time but hopefully we'll have time to explore the resort --- we might just hop on the bus and head over to OKW to check it out too if we have time.

Cruise time will be here before we know it --- kind of scares me!!! So much to do, so little time!

So we should do rides first,

then Wishes at 9:15,

then the parade at 10:45.

Any thing else a must see ( any other shows? )

Good Morning!! It actually is morning for all of us for once!!

Went to bed early, boy, did I need that! I feel like a new woman this morning .....(could I be Cindy Crawford?)

With all the talk of staying on after the cruise, I sure am wishing we were. Our flight doesn't leave until around 5 pm on the 28th, so I got us the day room at the Hyatt. At least we can stretch out a little......

Gus....I think we are going to have as many people that can, bring a cheese tray (ordered from room service) and of course, your favorite drink......other than that, we are all just going to kick back for the "wine" party. Thank you!
Speaking of the party, I was thinking about Monday (our 1st sea day) at around 4 pm.....this way, it's early enough to not interfere with dinner/show plans, late enough that there shouldn't be too many planned activities on the Navigator......
What does everyone else think????

Off to pay some bills. Back in a bit. Then I am heading for the office.

Stacey

Gus....your plan for MVMCP sounds PERFECT!!!
That's how we will probably do it. But we are going to be there on the 17th.

I'll have to drag the family out of bed for breakfast on Saturday, to head for the ship......not me though....I will be

Sounds great to me.
What ever time you decide is fine for us.

Looking at that map it's incredible to think about population centers. For example, the state up north (just north of Ohio) went for Kerry, but there are only a handful of counties in that state that went for Kerry. Just amazing how many ppl must live (and vote) in those counties in order to swing the rest of the state. Hmmmm

I think only 3 counties in MD went for Kerry (Baltimore, Prince Georges and Montgomery) and the entire state went Kerry. That's how we got to the electoral college discussion in my office. Someone here said the electoral college was supposed to ensure that the big cities didn't overwhelm the rest of the country? I don't claim to understand how it works. Maybe one of these days, I'll try to dig into it and then I can speak knowledgeably:)
