TAG!

We now have over 30 rooms signed up to play tag. I'm thinking that even with 10 days if we don't have some guidelines one mickey head won't make it to everyone.

I'll be happy to put something in the mini-navigator but want to hear what everyone wants to do. Should there be a time limit (say 12 hours - a tag placed on a door after 11 am needs to be on a new door by 11 pm, and a tag placed on a door after 11 pm needs to be on a new door by 11 am). That way it shouldn't interfere with excursions etc. I just would hate to see so many sign up and then it goes on one persons door and stays there for days and others miss out.

So what do you all think? LeiLani I think you said you have already made more than one - right?

Anyone have any other ideas to make sure that everyone can play?

TAG.....
I guess I was thinking that if/when it ended up on my door, I wouldn't leave it there for too long, before finding another door to "Tag"......
One thing I had wondered about..how are we going to know if the tag gets lost or stolen?? Short of asking eachother every time we see eachother.."Do you have the tag? Have you seen the tag?" It will be hard to "track" it's whereabouts.

Mark...stop watching NASCAR...I have a question....or anyone else that does drycleaning often.....

Jay has a tie (long kind) that goes with his tuxedo. It needs cleaning. Does it get dry cleaned, or washed? It's kind of satiny, and there's no washing instructions on it.

I'd recommend drycleaning, could have silk in it which you shouldn't try to wash at all.

And I'm only about half watching, this 'chase for the championship' is much more hype than reality.

OK - here's my idea on tag.....

We probably should have a couple of tags..... the idea is that you have to tag someone that hasn't been tagged before.....that way - different people should get tagged.....gotta keep those navigators handy....

Another question (thank you!) since I know nothing about tuxedoes....the tie is already tied in a knot....dare I untie it? And if I do (which it would have to be to be cleaned) will they tie it back, or do we have to? Jay is pretty rusty......

Please don't anyone laugh at me. Around here, there's no such thing as formal...even at weddings.....which are held in bars alot. One bride even rode up the aisle on a bull. No kidding!

No, they won't tie it back. it'll either come back boxed or on a hanger by itself. For tying: http://www.tieguide.com/overview.htm Had to look that up for myself as well.

Thank you! Printed it out, to take on the ship with us. And thanks for not laughing....

On our first cruise, Jay couldn't get his tie tied. He stood in front of the mirror forever....finally, I told him I was calling concierge. He didn't like the idea of having someone stand behind him like he was a little kid...just enough motivation...he got it tied himself.

I like this idea as well. I was thinking even three or four "special/offical" TAG's. That way we could involve more people at any given time.

Of course, this whole idea might really piqued the imagination of the kids. They might take the tags and really have a time with it. DIS board members or not. More reason to have multiples! What do ya think?

Stacey, tell Jay he's not alone. I don't wear ties that often either and actually have that link bookmarked on my favorites. :hyper:

Haven't used it in awhile, since I'm wearing ties more often to church these days. But those bow ties REALLY throw me! Mine are all pre-tied, even the Mickey one!

Thank goodness the bow ties are pre-tied! I'd hate to see us try to do that!
Jay was trying to recall the last time he'd even worn a tie, before that cruise....and he figured out it had to have been in the Marines. And they didn't wear bow ties!

On that first cruise, we had the nicest "fellow" as part of our concierge team...I just couldn't understand why Jay didn't want his help with the tie!

I took a closer look at the long tie Jay has for his tux....got itfrom the Tuxxman....the knot is sewn shut, so I guess I'll just steam it a little myself.

Been raining off and on all day. Perfect. Hope it soaks into the ground. I finally got the bright idea to go park my car out in the driveway...maybe it will get "washed".

Jordan is at a friend's house, they are filming something for their "Film & Video" class. I couldn't believe how far away this girl's house was, and it's still in our district! Jay did a lot of ornamental work in that community when it was being built, so I'm hoping he gets home in time to go get her. It took me 45 minutes to get there. Of course, 15 of those minutes were driving around the neighborhood, looking for the house. Teens don't give other teens very good directions. :rolleyes:

I don't think anyone will steal our "Tags".....
I haven't lost an antenna topper yet........

But it would be fun to have more than one!

Poor DCL won't know what's hit them. I think they're getting an idea already, though. Now that they've seen how many of us are linked together!
