:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

TGIF!

Best of all I have the day off! Had to use one more vacation day and since we are almost in November I thought today would be a good one.

Hopefully I can now get caught up on lots of little things that have to be done before we cruise.

Most of all I just want to relax.

Have a great day everyone!

GOOOOOOOOOOD FRIDAY MORNING EVERYONE!!!

I'm so glad it's Friday and we get our new furniture today. YEA!!! At least it's not supposed to rain until tonight so it all won't get wet.

This year we will be dealing with the St. Thomas mess so I don't know how they will be handling it.

I was wondering about this the other day. Not only do we have to deal with immigrations but I am sure most people will be heading out on excursions. Will those of us who go on early excursions miss out on Santa? When I talk to Debbie, I will see if she has any information on this or maybe she can direct me to to correct person. I'll see what I can do.

Off to read the boards and get the kids off to school.

Won't be on much today. My parents are heading down. They just wanted to come and visit, but it's turning out that my dad is going to do a lot of work on the bathroom that we can't seem to get Mike's cousin to come finish (install a vanity/countertop/faucet, toilet, baseboard, casing, shower head and controls)---pretty straightforward stuff.

Then it'll be off to Longhorn to "pay" for his work. Then ballet. So I doubt I'll get much chance to stop in :(

Have fun!!

(two weeks ago at this time I was rushing out the door to catch a plane to FL)

Linda - did your foray into town work out? Is Cash all certified?

Foray into town went well...zip, zip. Paid a little money and POOF! Cash is now ready for international travel. No vehicular crashes.

Cash's health is now all certified for international travel...Otherwise, there is no certification for Service Dogs. Can you imagine the mess? Dog training organizations trying to get a corner on the certification market...Pseudo experts trying to pass off "certified dogs" for sale at $20,000 a pop?
As it is there's a 2 to 10 year wait for trained dogs or a $2000 to $20,000 price tag. Congress forsaw the negative possibilities and the ADA was written to allow owner-training of service dogs. There is no certification organization or requirement, although many businesses persist in asking for "papers", which is illegal....

An elderly couple was sitting on there rocking chairs rocking back and forth. When the woman whacked her husband as hard as she could right off his chair. Surprised and disorientated he said: "now why did you do that?" and she replied: "That is for 50 years of horrible sex". So he sits back down and thinks about it for a while, and pretty soon you hear another whack, this time the wife falls off the chair and soon, gets back up and says "what was that for?” He replied, "that is for knowing the difference."

I love dogs. This is from our local TV station's web site:
OOPS, no, it's CNN.

Dog saves woman's life by calling 911

RICHLAND, Washington (AP) -- Leana Beasley has faith that a dog is man's best friend.

Faith, a 4-year-old Rottweiler, phoned 911 when Beasley fell out of her wheelchair and barked urgently into the receiver until a dispatcher sent help. Then the service dog unlocked the front door for the police officer.

"I sensed there was a problem on the other end of the 911 call," said dispatcher Jenny Buchanan. "The dog was too persistent in barking directly into the phone receiver. I knew she was trying to tell me something."

Faith is trained to summon help by pushing a speed-dial button on the phone with her nose after taking the receiver off the hook, said her owner, Beasley, 45, who suffers grand mal seizures.

Guided by experts at the Assistance Dog Club of Puget Sound, Beasley helped train Faith herself.

The day of the fall, Faith "had been acting very clingy, wanting to be touching me all day long," Beasley said Thursday.

The dog, whose sensitive nose can detect changes in Beasley's body chemistry, is trained to alert her owner to impending seizures.

But that wasn't what was happening on September 7, and Faith apparently wasn't sure how to communicate the problem. During Beasley's three-week hospital stay, doctors determined her liver was not properly processing her seizure medication.

I think most of it's pretty true. I'm not really much of a debator (at least I'm not very good at it). I'm definately a daydreamer. I'm not really very good at making friends.

It's probably about 80-90% true.

DECEMBER:
Loyal and generous. AGREED
Sexy. NOT!
Patriotic. AGREED
Active in games and interactions. Board games yes, group sports, no.
Impatient and hasty. SOMETIMES
Ambitious. NOT REALLY
Influential in organizations. HARDLY
Fun to be with. I'D LIKE TO THINK SO!!
Loves to socialize. AS LONG AS I DON"T HAVE TO DRESS UP
Loves praises. BUT WILL DENY THE PRAISE--MORE HUMBLE
Loves attention. FROM PPL I LOVE.
Loves to be loved. DOESN'T EVERYONE?
Honest and trustworthy. THERE IT IS AGAIN....THIS ALWAYS IS IN MY "HOROSCOPE" OR DESCRIPTION OF ME. VERY TRUE
Not pretending. I AM WHO I AM...TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT
Short tempered. VERY RARELY, AND MOSTLY WITH THE DOG
Changing personality. NOT. I DON'T EVEN GET PMS!
Not egoistic. AGREED
Take high pride in oneself. NOT IN THE LEAST. MUCH MORE HUMBLE THAN THAT.
Hates restrictions. ABIDES BY THE LAWS, BUT HATES SILLY LAWS. NO RESTRICTIONS LEADS TO CHAOS.
Loves to joke. 100% AGREED. IF I TEASE YOU, IT'S BECAUSE I LIKE YOU. I DON'T WASTE MY ENERGY ON PPL I DON'T CARE FOR. :)
Good sense of humor. IT'S IN MY GENES. MY DAD HAS A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR!!
Logical SOMETIMES, BUT USUALLY EMOTIONS GET IN THE WAY.

So, I'd say about 75% accurate.
Gonna go look back at my kids' months....

That's the aft verandah that overhangs my BAV. I discovered that in MAY....

Dee, what a terrific story. Thanks for posting it.

Mary, that sounds like the same character traits you will see for the signs in an astrology book. Yep, I'm a Taurus all the way. Kevin is a cusper, so he's a mystery sometimes. The verdict is still out on whether Alicia is a true Aries.

I hate the thought of the early morning thing in St. Thomas on Christmas! We got past the "early rising on Christmas" phase quite a while ago.

Good (late) Morning!
The phone woke me a couple of hours ago...I didn't answer it...the caller i.d. said "Motivational something or another" at least I woke up laughing!!!
I think it was a message to motivate myself to get out of bed!!

Mary...I'm a "March" also....I guess most of it is true....except the "sexy" part!:(

Ohminnie.....I forgot to tell you...our company has one glowing review (all A's!) on Angie's List!! That is so cool!!!

I've narrowed my cleaning choices down to Merry Maids or The Maids. I want a business, rather than an individual. It ends up getting too "personal" otherwise. The ex-cleaning lady left a message on my machine yesterday. It wasn't pretty.

Jared decided he wanted to Trick or Treat, so we went to get a mask. Then he decided he didn't want a mask....so he got a sweatshirt that says "This is my costume". I wouldn't even let him go at all with that attitude, except we are going to a friend's house and all the kids will be going.......

Anyway...I better get to the office.

TTYL,
Stacey

This will be our 1st stay in the DCL HC cabins. I never thought about the size of the veranda. On RCCL the HC verandas are significantly larger, guess I should have known.

Hi everyone!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while. I'm trying to keep up with the reading but you guys talk soo much! Finally started packing. Some of the clothes I bought for my DD for our summer cruise already don't fit her!! At least what's left of the summer clothes at the stores are really cheap.

My pirate name--grace the green and pirate jasmine the disgruntled. The other names were guys names.

We have the 9:00 a.m. pirate excursion in St. Lucia booked, but I may cancel it. Nothing personal, but I booked too many things and this is the one my oldest is least interested in. If I decide to cancel, I'll post it here first so anyone who wants it can book it.(since the 9:00 is sold out, I think)

I'll try to do better at posting.

I cancelled some excursions as well today.
I cancelled both dolphin swims which I had booked (through Disney that is). One at Antigua and one at St. Maarten.

It was real funny the Disney Rep. must have asked me 10 times if I was sure what I was doing.
She said once these are cancelled it is as good as gone, as these excursions are so popular.
Jokingly, she said I am going to make someone very happy and that the person should buy me a gift.

I didn't have the heart to say that I was still going on my own.

Gus

So our family's excursions are:

Glass bottom catamaran in Key West.

Dolphin swim on our own in Antigua.

Pirate boat in St. Lucia.

I so much wanted to SCUBA dive with the DIS divers group, but it appears my family commitments are interferring with the dives.

Oh well.........next time.
