I hear you on the SCUBA thing Gus...my DH doesn't want to schlep our stuff on this trip, so no SCUBA this time. .

I finalized our Key West excursion just this week - we're going out on our own based on a few recommendations from you here and taking the Island Watersports jetski tour of the island. Now I just hope I don't regret not bringing my 3mil wetsuit with me...

LeiLani, any word from DCL on our theme nights? I tried to con my TA into calling today, but she said she asked earlier this week, so she didn't think it was worth calling again today. I mean REALLY, here we are, just 50 days before sailing, 7 weeks to go and they're teasing us! :yo-yo:

Hope everyone is having a great Friday!

Cheers, Kara

I tried booking the dolphin excursion on my own but it was all booked. I don't want to do Disney's--too expensive.

So far (till I cancel something)...

Key West--on our own

St. Martin-- rhino riders on our own

St Lucia--Pirate ship thru DCL

Antigua--catamaran thru DCL

St. Thomas-- Buck Island sail and snorkle thru DCL

CC--parasail for the boys

So our family's excursions are:

Glass bottom catamaran in Key West.

Dolphin swim on our own in Antigua.

Pirate boat in St. Lucia.

I so much wanted to SCUBA dive with the DIS divers group, but it appears my family commitments are interferring with the dives.

Oh well.........next time.

Gus
Oh well, if I promise to share some pictures with you, will it help?

Some of the clothes I bought for my DD for our summer cruise already don't fit her!!

Judy --- I know how you feel my DD12 (Jordan) must have had a huge growth spurt since school started --- she's already grown out of 2 pairs of pants we bought after school started. Everyday she comes out of her closet with yet another thing that doesn't fit --- some of it I was planning on her taking on the cruise. Guess we'll have to try and find some time this weekend to clean out the closet and hit the mall!!

Carving pumpkins tonight --- can't wait to dig out all those pumpkin guts!!! Then both girls have parties tomorrow night.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN AND HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!

You have it all wrong. Scuba diving is a family commitment.

What better way to build bonding and trust than to be at 100' and run out of air? An experience like that will create trust like nothing else.

I'll be there at Island Watersports with my 3 mil on. No reason to suffer. The water will be in the mid-70's. It all depends on the sun. If sunny then we should be okay with just a swim suit. If cloudy, the 3 mil will feel pretty good.

We are on the 1:30 tour. Will you be joining us?

This guy goes to a Halloween party with a girl on his back.

"What on earth are you?" asks the host.

"I'm a snail," says the guy.

"But... you have a girl on your back," replies the host.

"Yeah, he says, "that's Michelle!"

I found out about a month ago that my 10 year old can take a "discover scuba" lesson through PADI.

I think its a one time shot to see if she would freak underwater or not and/or is comfortable with the gear on.

Best of all its free.

DD seems to be very keen to try it.

 Another quick howdy-doo!

Just got in from an extremely long day. Would like nothing better than to soak in the tub, and then veg out here.
Alas, it's Friday night again already. That means softball games. And it's COLD out there! I guess fall has fell. 66 degrees right now, and damp......

Wish us luck that we don't break anything. If we're only 7 weeks out, wouldn't that mean we'd still be in a cast at cruise time??

Outta here...have a great night...

That's pretty cool! I'm sure she will enjoy it. The shops around here charge a small fee for that. Not much, but you can't beat free!

Of course the best is the warmer waters and all the pretty fish. That's when it gets "really" interesting..

Hey OhioMinnie, I'll pick up the Figment Ornament on Nov. 7 when I return to WDW for a couple of days!

A couple of pics from Dive Quest:

Alicia partying at the bottom of the tank, Kevin to her left, being a good diver.
