Sorry...just got back from taking Jordan to dance, and popped in at the right time I guess!!
So, Robert & Jamie were at New York New York Sunday, riding the roller coaster, while I was having my massage & facial, and taking a nap. While getting the massage & facial.
Our meeting was another great one. Jay & I were waiting by the restaurant, Gallaghers, for Linda & family. I recognized Linda right away, and she had no trouble knowing who I was. Although, Linda is only half the person she was in the picture that she originally sent Mary! I'm wishing I'd been as dedicated to my diet.
We started off talking, and didn't stop until we had our food in front of us. I felt sorry for the waiter. I kept trying to interrupt him, and it dawned on me that the Administrator needed to be there just to shut me up for 60 seconds!
The two "silent" husbands seemed amused at Linda and I, and tried really hard to follow along.....
Jay tried teasing Jamie, but she's so cool...she just handed it right back to him! Jamie had a headache (I would too, if I rode roller coasters all day!) and I of course had to "dispense" something for her. Excedrin...honest!!
But while we were at dinner I felt something hit my foot, and I looked down and there was a bottle of prescription medicine. The waiter didn't seem to want to deal with it, and we didn't particularly want to see what it was either....but I realized someone would need it. I picked it up and asked the guy behind me if it was his. It was. It was his tranquilizers for his fear of flying. I offered to take them off his hands, but he wouldn't have any part of that. Besides, I don't have a fear of flying.
We were all in awe of the lobster this fellow ordered. The biggest one I had ever seen....anywhere. We were certain that if it had been alive, we could have put a saddle on it, and ridden it!
I think we must have sat at dinner for over two hours.....
We went up to our room to visit some more, and Jamie took some pictures of us. I would like to burn them all. Maybe lime green just isn't my color.
The two husbands got along well. They discovered that they entered the Marine Corps at almost the exact same time, right down to the month practically. While they were talking Marine talk, Linda and I realized how funny we must sound to them when we're talking DIS talk! It was like they were speaking in code.
I can't wait to meet the rest of their family. Robert showed me pictures of the kids and grandkids. They have a beautiful family!
I have a funny feeling that Jared will be tongue-tied when he sees Jamie!
With all the people I have met so far, it's like getting together with old friends, or family. I think that when we are all on the ship together, it will be like a class reunion. But maybe we should hire someone to be our Administrator!
Another great meet, totally unexpected, and part of me wishes we had more time before the cruise, so that more of us could meet eachother!
