Just got home from our games....won one, lost one. I only had to play for a short time....quite a few people were late to the games. There are four (families) of us who come down from Cave Creek to play (in Phoenix). We have 3 ways to get there, and two were blocked with serious accidents.
So I played until the other 2 gals got there.

I took a cake for my friend Ruthie's birthday...and it actually got eaten all up...there's usually half left.
I had on two sweat shirts, it was cold out there....it's 59 right now. Desert cold is different than other cold.

Lynda...such an exciting day...you said you took fruit salad...what did you do with the shrimp??? Feed it to the police escort?
See...I WAS paying attention.

Mary...sent an e-mail...two actually!

I took a nap this afternoon, too. I was going to do some more work after I got back from the eye doc, and I couldn't keep my eyes open....

We have our "extra" daughter again this weekend. I swear, I'm going to start to demand child support fom her parents.
She's a "giggler"...and it makes me crazy. Guess I'll forward the valium bill to them, too......

No special plans for the weekend. Jared has a soccer game at 11:30...which really kind of messes up the day...

I am determined to finish the Christmas wrapping and packaging.

I also think I'm going to try to pack the "extras" for the cruise....Christmas decorations, snorkel gear....

The kids don't have school Monday, so I may just form an assembly line...and get things done that way.

Off to bed for me...

Not enough people. I went through that listing and this one is the only one that matched my schedule. My first meeting on Tuesday is for dinner. I may cancel the dinner and do a three day instead. I'll buy the guy breakfast on Wednesday. Have to see how upset people will get. Fortnately the main guy we are meeting is a diver so he should be okay with it.

Doc, DD wants a fallen angel costume too. She has a witch costume, and she has been after me to make her black wings to turn it into a fallen angel. I told her no, that she has a perfectly good costume and I'm NOT changing it!

Angie, don't feel bad. My chat takes a long time to load, and last night it kept kicking me off. In fact, I didn't officially say goodbye. The third time it booted me off, I just didn't bother coming back in.

We got our house plans last night. It looks pretty good! We just have to have them change the one double garage door to two single ones, and add our deck. I don't think they'll change the plans for that, just add it to the contract.

We did go by the job site, and they haven't done anything. DH is getting VERY grumpy about that. Our contact said that they're going to be pouring the footers sometime next week, so maybe once that happens he'll settle down.

I am having a great time here!

Karen- so sorry we didn't meet. I was in such a hurry Thursday when I arrived to get over to Epcot I forgot my cellphone in the room.

Sharon and Jim- it was great to meet you.

Yesterday I hit MGM and Animal Kingdom, met Sharon and Jim ,then had a wonderful dinner at Artist Point.

Today I think I am going to do a little shopping, a little Epcot and then tonight is the Party for the Senses. Jim, I will be sure to fill you in on the details.

Diana, I told Jim I could get the stocking you wanted. Could you describe it a little? I think I have seen a few different Tinkerbell ones.

Mary- have fun calling for your Member cruise. A few of my friends here are calling also. I think you have met Dottie and Joe before. I wish we could go, just not a good time right at the beginning of the school year.

I took a nap this afternoon, too. I was going to do some more work after I got back from the eye doc, and I couldn't keep my eyes open....

Nothing wrong with YOUR eyes!...I was wondering if someone would comment on my cruise-related mid-course correction...Shrimp was, even after all the horsing around with the muffler, still frozen hard and I was afraid that any quick-thaw methods would mush it out so I popped it into the freezer and took the fresh fruit salad that I had gotten as a backup... I wonder if I knew what was coming?
The police man escorted me to the end of my driveway and sped off...As the drive is rock-studded and much-rutted road base (this is the sticks) he actually left just before the worst and muffler-wise, most dangerous, part of the trip but he did wedge that rock in there hard enough to last through 8 miles of Texas roads (hopefully 8 more on the way to the muffler shop this morning) so I guess he felt my luck would hold... Had lots of luck THAT day!
