Stacey - hope you're feeling better...... Hope DQ and the mall helped....:hyper:

Another night in the ER....

I'm more of a night owl as are both DDs.... DW is an early morning person.....and a light sleeper to boot.....

Be back later!

I'm an early to bed, early to rise. DH is a night owl and would prefer to sleep until around 10. Usually does not get that much luxury!

We are booked for the Golden Eagle Catamaran on St Marteen. It was the most fun we have ever had last cruise! We are also set for Stingray Swim and Snorkel and Antigua Island Tour on Antigua day. We booked Island Delight on St. Lucia. We will be on our own on St. Thomas and Key West.

I had to insist that the CM "check with someone" when she told me I could not book yet. This was on Tuesday and she did put me on hold for about a minute then returned and promptly booked all the excursions I requested.

We would love to come to the wine party. We have made our own a couple of times and still have a couple of bottles. We will be making more this year, but it will not be ready to drink until next fall.

As for us we are early risers. DD the eldest seems to have an internal clock set at 5:45 am. So when we're on the cruise does that mean she'll sleep in three more hours? God I can only dream.
DD the youngest is a little better. We will be dealing with jet lag for a couple of days. Oh how I look forward to the possibility of DD5 sleeping in. Maybe that cat10 we have will help too. If not can I bunk out on someones verandah one night? No just kidding. TGIF. Disneyland tomorrow!!!cheers -D::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

Denise, most of the verandas just have two chairs and a small table, though I suspect Stacey's will have more furniture!

Jim & family, looks like you might get a visit from Jeanne. Sorry guys. It hasn't been your year, has it? Anything left in the freezer?

We're starboard too, a bit further forward on Deck 5. Just two cabins in back of the lifeboats. Safety first, you know! Starboad usually gives you a fabulous view of Castaway Cay, but you won't see the sunset in Key West.

Well gee, I get to say this for a change!

:boat: Good Morning Cruisers!! :boat:

Well I'm up because I've been watching the weather, if you havn't noticed. If you're curious, go read something very long winded from me(oops, pardon the pun) here: Mark's amateur forcasting service

I've always been fascinated by weather and reading it, and this has been a very strange year to say the least. At this point, I am not absolutely sure what's going to happen. Gut feeling is the Bahamas will take a passby hit on the north side and it'll get near the Fla coast, but turn north first. That could change depends on how fast it moves.

Now on the question, I am usually a night person for sure, not normally an early riser by any means. But not so much a night person to be up till the wee hours either, but I tend to gather momentum thru the day and usually my best time is from about 3pm on till 10 or so for bedtime. Thru now, Cruising really hasn't had an effect on my patterns either.

Hi everyone,

I feel for the weekend cruisers... who knows when where or how they'll be.......

Hope so see everyone at chat - even you David!

I hope that our Jewish friends have a solemn Yom Kippur.

Virgil - I should be in chat tonight and maybe Mark will join us as well (unless he's fixated on the hurricanes).

Let me echo Virgil's message - a very solemn Yom Kippur to all our Jewish cruisers.

Well off to read the boards and then off to work.

Good Friday Morning Everyone!!

:bday: Happy Birthday Lisa (tkd Lisa)

:bday: Happy Birthday Deb (Debshill)

And an early Happy Birthday to Gus (afff)

And to copy Virgil & Mary - a very solemn Yom Kippur to all the Jewish cruisers.

Stacey hope you are feeling better today.

I'm glad we did not take down the plywood. It looks like we are going to be needing it again. Started making ice this morning. Sharon tried to get gas on the way to work, but the stations are already out. People are learning to fill up before the storms.

Yes, there is plenty in the freezer. We did a Costco run last weekend and it was Sea Food Weekend. We now have 8 lbs of scallops, 5 lbs of shrimp, 2 prime ribs, new york steaks,..... and three bottles of wine. Looks like we have enough food, but might run out of drinks. Have to make that stop on the way home.

I guess I would say I am a morning person, although I do like to sleep in sometimes. I am not sure how to describe DH. Lately he is early to rise(and I do mean early) and late to go to bed(and I do mean very late). A very large national company(with offices in our area and will go unnamed but the initials are JD ::yes:: anyone in the midwest can probably figure that one out) has decided to change their insurance and most patients will have to change doctors on Oct 1. So now they have all rushed to have their surgeries done before than. For the last 3 weeks DH has been working 15-18 hour days. It has been miserable.

We like to do the shows on the ship but most times we are too tired and just go to bed. But this time we said we would make ourselves stay up and catch some of the late evening events. On our cruise in April the only one we went to was "British Pub Night" and it was a blast.

Brittany is definitely a night owl. Especially on the cruise. She will stay up till 2 or 3 and then sleep in till 11 or 12 if I let her.:teeth: On our cruise in April she had a seperate room so it was easy for her to sleep in, but for the 10 day cruise she will be sleeping in the living room. So guess what? She will have to get up.::yes::

Off to read the boards.

Not a lot of time to answer all of the questions, but this one peaked my interest.....

Is it possible I have a lawn tractor with these same initials?

For those in southern FL I do feel for you. I hope she takes a turn and stays away from you guys. The news just said that cruise ships that sail out of PC may have to port somewhere else again. Here we go again.

I am not going to read the posts on the main page this time though. I was getting so mad at the people over there and had to sit on my hands so I wouldn't type anything. I do understand the fustration and disappointment from the cruisers but I get so mad with the way they seem to blame DCL. One person on the Wonder cruise that went to Charleston, SC and then to Nassau was very unhappy(because of the ports they went to) with their cruise and made the comment that they had booked a 7 day for next year but it depended on what DCL did for them if they took it or not. That just really makes me mad. We didn't port in GC two years ago because of rough seas, was I suppose to ask DCL to give me something for not going to the listed ports? No, it's just a consequence of cruising (especially during hurricane season). Okay, now that I got that off my chest we can move on.

Boy, I feel like Stacey this morning.:chat: I guess since DH has not been around very much I just need someone to talk to.

LeiLani

OM - you are so right. :bounce: I knew someone in the midwest especially would figure that one out. It has been a little crazy around here since they decided to make that change. Luckily it is only a small percentage of DH's patient base. But when they all want something done at the same time, it gets very busy.

LeiLani

LeiLani - i know the exact post you are talking about. My thought was - well I hope you cancel because DCL shouldn't do anything for you. I am so sick and tired of people expecting DCL (or any company really) to do things for them other than what was contracted.

People who expect upgrades. You want a veranda room - book a veranda room.

What makes me even madder is when these people take it out on the cast members.

Ok - vent over. Now back to our regular discussion. Which is going very nicely by the way - on to 12,000 for gaRry!

WE ARE DOWN TO 85 DAYS!!!!! :earseek: :bounce:

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

Gotta go get the kids off to school. Be back later.

It would have been easier if you did it like this: JD ::yes:: edited to add - that didn't come out too well - the JD is green :D
