Well, the Buckeye's game is almost over (we'll win) I'll be meeting ohiomickey in Columbus to pick up a (probably) tired and sunburned KT and I'm heading up to Cleveland until Monday morning.

Sunday I'll be going to the annual family reunion at my grandmas. I stopped going about 7 years ago when KT became aware enough to realize things going on around her. Hopefully the family has settled down a lot since then. I've heard, at least, that they aren't bringing cases and cases of beer anymore.

TINKSDAD:

Great news! I found a 10 inch and an 8 inch drywall knifey thingy in my basement! :) Yippie!! My project for next week!

Wow! Another TOP without even trying!!

I'll admit, sometimes I count the posts in order to try and pirate: a TOP, but these last two have been totally unexpected!!

:)

Good luck guys!! What movie are you watching? Nothing with a storm theme I hope....

Just finished Pirates of the Carribean. Trying to get in the mood for the cruise.

We do have a minor emergency here. The storm is about to arrive and I'm almost out of margarita mix! It might get ugly now.

Ya might be able to trade a piece of your plywood for some mix. Possibly one of your neighbors would be willing to make the swap! ;)

Well, we've been thru 2 or 3 squall lines now and we're still here, and miraculosely still have power (knock on wood) So far a couple trees down in the development but I think they're the same ones that went over with Charley and they just stood them up again...LOL
Right now... my DH has caused more damage than the hurricane. He is painting... or attempting to.
So far he's slipped off the ladder and fallen onto the fake mantle/fireplace and broken it apart, taking several Disney collectibles with him :( Then a while ago he flipped the paint tray off the ladder and all over the room.
I told him it's now time to STOP before he wrecks the place. Usually he's very good at this stuff... but today has not been a good day...LOL

Good thinking, Ohminnie! Trading plywood.....I heard that a couple hours before the 2 pm curfew, Orlando ordered all the liquor stores and gun stores closed. Darn...just about when Scubadiver was gonna make a run to both, I bet!

And I agree with your Tigger & Eeyore choices, for the same reasons as you. Another one of my favorites is Dumbo.

I have been doing every thing in my power to avoid that toilet. I've run out of mundane things to do....so....toilet, here I come.

This is how desparate I am......I have been looking a dresses to wear in case we get to do the vow renewal. There are some dog-ugly (no offense, Maggie & Cash) dresses out there.
On a site with wedding dresses, the was one that was red, white & blue spangled, with an American flag pattern. This might be okay, if you were getting married on the rodeo grounds on the Fourth of July. But that's a mighty big IF!

Leslie....yea!! Glad the outside of your house is in good shape. Keep us posted. And give DH something else to do. Maybe now would be a good time for him to take up needlepoint!

Thanks for all your patience. The September issue of the newsletter is now up. Hope you all enjoy it!

Favorite characters:

Mickey - yes it all started there!

Pooh - I was his mother for 7 years so I have a special place in my heart for that silly old bear.

Dumbo -I love him and his statue is a must visit when we go to the Magic Kingdom.

Stitch - Lovable and reminds me of Mark.

Nemo - what a cutie!

Mary...thank you! Will look in a minute. I have a question for you...I have been trying to get Jordan signed on so that she can talk to the other teens....but even when she signs on to her account, then on to the DIS boards, it still says Welcome Justmestace. What do I need to do?

Pooh's mother?????

Diana, I didn't make up the name "Old Lady Leg Syndrome". In one of those links, a gal said she went to First Aid at Epcot, and the nurse there called it that! I probably would have slugged the nurse.

Is the Handsome Handyman home? I have a question. Not about the toilet seat, that's done. Piece of cake.
The people who built this house missed a small area in my water closet when they textured. We have always thought it was kind of amusing.....but now I don't think it's amusing anymore. And I'm in a fix-it mode. I have a small tub of Patch-N-Paint, lightweight spackling. Is this what I can use?
Thank you, Mr. Handsome. Or is it Mr. Handyman?

Stacey, good luck on the home improvement. Just don't follow Leslie's husband's example!

I spent the day cleaning up the house again. I sorted through the VHS tapes for a big box to send to the library. DH took DS (and the next door neighbor) fishing. Should be interesting!

Now I'm off to pull weeds (woo hoo!) I've been avoiding it, but the laundry's done, and it's cooler now so I need to get to it.

Stacey - not sure but I think you have to log out and clear your cookies. Sometimes it takes more than once for this to happen. Then she can log in on her own. Mark and I have this problem when we share the notebook on trips. Also if someone doesn't log off properly at the internet cafe on the ship you can find yourself posting as someone else.

Pooh's mother - when I worked at Sears I was the Winnie-the-Pooh coordinator for 7 years. My job was to monitor the shipping and care of the 40+ WTP costumes, 10 Tiggers and 4 Eeyore's we had. We shipped them from store to store and there was a set of guidlelines that had to be followed. I also was responsible for sending them to WDW and Disneyland for Rehab. It was a great job and gave me a great insight into Disney. This was back in the Days when Sears was the exclusive supplier of any type of Winnie-the-Pooh merchanidse. Aren't you sorry you asked :D

Sounds like exactly what I had in May on both my arms and legs. I thought it was sun poisening because it happend after we spent the day out in the sun for Member Homecoming. Definately over 30 and overweight and from the North. :D

Top? Yes! Just another pirate: moment for me. ::yes::

:Pinkbounc Yea for the T.O.P. Mary!:bounce:

I guess I should have been paying attention.

What a cool job you had. Made me think of taking my niece (now 28, then 8 yrs old) to Disneyland. Mom and I were buying her a plush character. She wanted Pooh. We kept trying to tell her that she could get Pooh at Sears, so she should pick something else.
She would have no part of that......she got her Pooh.
And, please don't let him know I told you this, but Jared has one of the Get Well Pooh Bears (the Disney-Gram kind) that he's had since he had his first surgery at age 2. To this day, he sleeps with Pooh, and Pooh has gone on every single trip we have ever made, even the cruises and out of the country. For this cruise, I'm making Pooh his own Passport. I think it's about time!

Jordan and I will try again. I thought it might be because of the Parental Controls, so I changed those and it didn't help either.

Loved the newsletter. All things considered, I thought it was quite fitting.
Speaking of DIS meetings (were we?) I have to be in Las Vegas sometime during the week of Nov 17-24th. Anyone care to join me?

I think it's cooties!

Sorry, Stacey. After Mr. Handyman finished varnishing the new barres at the studio, we fed him, and then he went about collecting supplies for installing them tomorrow. That includes a trip to the Mother Ship, Home Depot. I will tell him to check the boards when he gets home, though.

The Goose family had the same problem, Stacey. Maybe you can get one of them to answer about what they did. I know they posted on the Tech board for help.

I didn't get the Disney disease on our last trip in August, but can't figure out why. I've gotten it before in the summer, and according to the information, once you get it you're more likely to get it again. It was very ugly but not particularly painful.

Jim, it's good to know you have your priorities straight. Hope you're still out there in cyberland and haven't lost power already. I've been watching the Weather channel, they've got one reporter just south of you on New Smyrna beach. What a great job!

Yeah, Leslie, hope your husband does more damage than the hurricane. And I mean that in a good way.
