Evening everyone!!!

Stacey what do you mean you'll be back Monday?? You always do so much to keep the numbers climbing toward GarRy's 10000. Who is taking the lead for the weekend? Have a safe trip and win BIG.

Just got back from our first Football game which of course we won!!! 28-7. Hope they all go that way. DD was a bit nervous before the game :cheer2: :cheer2: (her 1st Varsity)

Hope everyone has a great weekend I think my bed is calling!!!!

We are at the Sweet Sixteen until we sail! Woo Hoo!

Lots and lots of storms in our area last night which had me up at 2 am. Think I'm going to need a nap sometime today.

Hope everyone has a great day and those East of me don't get hit too bad with these storms.

hi all

going to hershey park for 5 days

i know many of you are meeting there next month

let me know if anyone needs anything from Hershey

- David

Hi David,

Nice to see you posting. Have a great time in Hershey - wish you were joining us next month. Charlotte hooked me up with maps and flyers so I'm good.

Enjoy!

I wish we had a Hershey's Park on this side of the country. I Love Chocolate! Well,on second thought, maybe it's better that way!

Have a nice trip David!

See Paul I'm not a pirate: - I set you up for that top!:D

Yeah Jr! A great win and nice to see him back in victory lane!

Had another dinner & a movie night, DD had another sleepover. Went to see "Hero". Interesting, existential movie from the producers of "Crouching Tiger", if you like that sort of thing. Nice scenery, for sure.

Vicki, yay for the team! Must have had something to do with DD's cheering!

Is anyone else losing interest in the Olympics? Just me? Just not a running and diving fan I guess.

Not I.
If cable TV were available out here in the boonies I'd be watching VHS reruns of it until the upcoming Winter version. Such a wasted life...

Good morning everyone,

Just wanted to say Hi and to let you know I'm still here although I haven't posted for ages. The summer has been really hectic but I was just looking through the posts to catch up and saw the '16 weeks to go' post and it has really thrown me into planning mode.

Angela

Good mornig all
I can't believe it's only 16 weeks until we sail!!
The year has gone by so quickly.
Been so busy with work and family, but have been trying to at least look at some of the posts on weekends.
You all seem like a great bunch of people.
For you people that live in the Boston Mass. area, you have a great place to live.there.
Just went there last week for work.
Paid the extra days and spent the weekend in Boston, since I have never been in that area.

My DD (17) want to do the horse back riding excursion at St. Lucia.
Can she do this without us?
Other DD (21) want to do the Hiking excursion.
I think they are both great, but DH will not want to do either.
If any of you have kids around this age going and would be interesed in making new friend E-mail me and I will have DD's contact them.

We stayed in Boston on our way up to Sunday River last Xmas and I agree it is a great place.

I have printed off all the shore excursions and am trying to get my family to agree on what they want to do - it is not easy though. I am the only one who really likes to plan - the others think it will just happen when they get there.

I am keen to see Nelson's boatyard in Antigua this time as we missed it last time and spent the day on the beach instead. The boys are keen to try kayaking - anyone done this with a 10 year old?

The boys are much fitter and a whole lot braver than me so I need a good balance. On our trip to Grenada I really struggled up the final steep climb on the rainforest trip - although I did make it and the view was incredible. I was a bit irritated though to discover we then had to walk down it again so I could have waited at the bottom - wish someone had told me that before I made it up although I guess it did me good. I am trying to lose some weight and get fitter before this trip.

Angela

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Barb & Angela - so nice to see you posting again. Now that we are getting closer I hope you will join us more often!

Diana - I agree with you on the Olympics - the last weekend is kind of blah. I'm much more into the swimming events than the track and field. There has been a great variety and I loved watching it all, but I'm ready for the closing ceremonies!

Well if 16 weeks to the cruise is scary - we are in Hershey in only 3 weeks! Guess we should get some kind of plan together.

We are at SpringHill Suites getting in Friday - not sure what time but I would think early evening.

We'll be at Hershey park on Saturday. Our plan for Sunday is to stay in the area until mid-day (maybe do Chocolate World) and then head part way home.

Since we've never been there we do want to spend time exploring the park and going on some rides (not really into the coasters). Of course the other main reason is to meet other cruisers. So we need to figure out times and places to meet. Maybe a tentative plan for Friday night (hotel pool?, dinner?) and then Saturday. Since some of you have been before I'll bow to your expertise on where to meet.

Charlotte was a maybe?
Gail - I think her last post said maybe?
Lisa is in - right?
We are in! :cheer2:
GaRry & Vicki - you guys were talking about it - can you make it?
David is going this week so he's a no :(

I really think I'm missing some. Anyone I've missed please speak up. Anyone else wanting to join us?

Good Morning Everyone!

I kind of lost interest in the Olympics after the beach volleyball ended. I thought that the coverage was a little mediocre but since I work in television I'm a little more critical than most.

We too are still trying to figure out excursions. At least we still have another month to decide. (That sounds kind of good)!

Well I'm off to have my breakfast tea and cookies and read the Sunday paper. (It's the English blood in me)!

Paul

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING CRUISERS

Diana - I would like to think it was the Cheering that won the game but I'm hoping the new coach had a great deal to do with it.
I to have lost interest in the games. I started my own personal boycot when they started the hole issue with the Gold medal won by Paul Hamm. If the scores were not questioned in a timely manner as the rules state they need to just stop whining. These games have really been a role model for poor sportsman (not all but the losers seem to be very poor losers this time around)

robertsb19 - Our DD will be 2 weeks after we cruise. I think she would love to have someone to email. She would also most likely love to do an excursion that involves horses. I must confess I really haven't started planning excursions. I guess I had better get moving and start reading about them.

I hope to check in again later - for now I need to get some laundry done.

Vicki
:boat:

Vicki, I was just telling Robertsb19 to PM you guys, and your post showed up. Woo-ee-woo-ee.

Yeah, I think that's the thing about the Olympics right now, the gymnastics incident has sort of soured me. Why is this different from the last Winter Olympics, when the skating judges were caught CHEATING? Then, it was "oh, we could never ask the Russian couple to give back their gold medal!", so they gave two. Now it's a judging mistake, so Paul Hamm is supposed to give his medal back?

DH also quit watching pretty much when beach volleyball ended. Misty May is here now, she's engaged to an Isotopes baseball player. But I think she's been wearing clothes.

Garry, so Gregg is taking up diving? He needs another sport? Or perhaps you meant driving?

Angela, I will be looking for the not so strenuous excursions too. I'd like to see the islands, see some fish, but not into hurting myself to do it, thanks. I'm known as "wussy Mama" around here.
