Did you guys see the thread on the main cruise forum about one of the DCL busses catching fire today. Luckily everyone and all their luggage got off safely. Wow - what a way to start a cruise!

I second that! What a good idea!

We'll have to coordinate the posing and the picture taking with the "land lubbers"

I saw that.....I think Iwould just want to die right then and there. How scary...and what a way to start, just like you said. It said almost all of their luggage had been sent ahead. My luck, I would have been late getting to the bus...and have my luggage with me on the bus! (or under it, as the case may be).

The stores on the ship are nice, but you can't buy much "regular" clothing....let alone formal stuff, and "Pooh" size stuff.

Snoring during a facial? I'd never do that, no never. (well, maybe once)

Wow, a fire on the DCL bus, I'd probably think that was an omen. Glad everyone is OK. I would imagine DCL will make sure the ones that need it would get a shopping stop.

Jim, we want your wife and daughter in the pic too! I think they take one from inside the tank of the divers, with your non-diving family on the outside, so it looks like you're all together sort of. That would be a good one to scan and post.

Garry, I got your e-mail. What was the surprise? I told DH that you guys are going to be diving too.

DD and I went to a movie tonight while DH went to yet another scuba class. We saw "What the bleep do we know?" What's it about? Well, quantum physics. Really. Thought provoking though, if you get a chance, go see it.

I'm going to drag my aching back and old bones to bed.

I don't dare turn on the computer in the morning....I think that's part of the reason that Megan and I missed our plane to Florida. I get busy yakking......

So....everyone have a great weekend.....GaRry..I'll try to win us all some BIG bucks!

Mary....now's your chance to really be a pirate: :cheer2: and get those posts back up ahead of me!!!!

Take care everyone, and stay safe. I'll try to sneak in to the business office and login and say Hi. If I can tear myself away from the machines.

GOOD FINALLY FRIDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE HOLIDAY CRUISERS! AND GOOD SATURDAY MORNING, AND SUNDAY AND MONDAY MORNINGS TOO!!

Good night!!
Stacey

TGIF Everyone!

This is going to be a crazy crazy day at work today. My boss is off, we have one other person (maybe two) off and lots and lots of work! Yesterday was kind of crazy as well which is why I didn't do my check in at lunch time.

Hopefully I'll get through the day with my sanity and will be in chat tonight :D

Stacey - have a wonderful time!

The diving picture sounds very cool!

Have a great day everyone!

Morning everyone. Boy did I have trouble getting the meet page to load! But I'm here now!

I plan to be in chat tonight, but I might be late. We're going to see a musical our babysitter is directing at her church. It's called Holy Moses, sort of a low budget Prince of Egypt. She heads back to college tomorrow morning. The kids are going to get her a bouquet for the curtain calls. It starts at 7, so I should be home by 9, but certainly by 9:30.

Nothing very exciting for the weekend here. I just want to get the kids ready for school Monday.

Have a great weekend everyone. Lisa

Good Morning everyone!

I took today off so I'm going to try to enjoy a three day weekend. Since my Mom's stroke my sister and I have been the legal gaurdians of my younger sister who has Down's Syndrome. We are meeting with her social worker today to review what's going on with her. Sounds like fun, huh?

Everyone have a good day!

Paul

Paul-you are a great guy! My brother has a child with Down's Syndrome and he is now 12 years old. He has a bunch of other problems too. My heart really goes out to them with all the challenges they face.

I watched the men's volleyball too, yawn........................I looked to see if I could find Paul in green speedos.................no such luck!

Okay, Friday work to do.

Later, gators!!

Linda

Bless you Paul for being there for your sister. How old is she?

Good evening everyone!! :wizard:

FINALLY back online after so much drama that I can't think straight!
I believe you last heard from me right before Hurricane Charley hit. WOW.. what an adventure that was. Who'd have ever thought that a hurricane would still be that strong so far inland! We lost power as soon as it hit and were out for 4 days. Once we got power back.. we still had no phone line. Sprint estimated Sept. 2nd. I didn't complain too much because there were so many who were a LOT worse off. We were actually very lucky. Lots of trees down in the development but despite the construction debris everywhere... no occupied homes were badly damaged that we could see. Other places were not so fortunate. We talked to lots of people who lost their homes and were staying at Disney while they sorted things out. My heart goes out to all of those still trying to put their lives back together.

During all of this we discovered that one of our dogs (Jessie) had a mass (growth) on her gum. Very strange since she had been to the vet for her annual checkup and shots only 2 weeks before. Took her to the emergency vet up there in Orlando... but when they wanted to do exploratory surgery.. we figured that it best be done by our own vet here in So. FL. So home we came... and the past 4 days have been spent taking her back and forth to the vet and babying her after surgery. Turns out she has fibromatoma epulis? (not sure if I spelled that right) Virgil is that a people thing too? Basically a rapid growing tumor on her upper palate and gumline. They THINK they got all of it during surgery and it didn't migrate into the bone... we are praying that is the case. She may still have to have several radiation treatments..but we are waiting to hear from the vet radiologist/oncologist for that. Poor baby... she has taken it well, so hopefully she'll be strong and pull thru.
I've been a basket case most of the last couple weeks with the hurricane and the dog drama.... so I will probably never catch up on these boards!!!
Did I miss anything important? Looks like everyone is discussing excursions... did we ever find out more about Eli's Eco Tour in Antiqua? DH and I are interested if a group gets together. Other than that... just give me an unlimited pass to the Rainforest Room!!!
Okay enough rambling for now. I'm glad to be back!!!!

Leslie-so glad you are back. We wondered where you were. Reading your last email everything was hunky dory, and then once Charlie hit you fell off the planet!!!! Glad you are okay.

Hugs and kisses to Jessie. They are just like one of the kids! And they cost just as much! Glad I am not paying that vet bill!

Have a great weekend, hope things calm down at your end.

Linda

:wave2:

Leslie - Good to have you back and that everything is ok!

Mary - My sister is almost 40 years old but she has the mental capacity of a young teenager and she acts like one too (you know mad about boys and stuff like that). Anyway the meeting with the social workers went well and was very interesting.

Paul

Leslie - so glad to have you back! Sorry to hear one your babies isn't doing well. Prayers and pixie dust to you.

Paul - that's awesome that you look out for your sister like that. She's lucky to have a big brother to be there for her.

Leslie, welcome back. Sort of figured you were having those kinds of problems communicating with us. I think Scuba Divers' wife is interested in the Antigua Eco tour, I sent her your e-mail address. Don't know if I can go, but maybe at the last minute if there's room.

So do they actually sell green speedos for men? Maybe you guys should look into that.

This one would go well with gaRry's shirt. Green Speedo

Leslie - glad to see you back online. Not sure about whether people get that - I'll have to check....

Hmmm - I think I'll skip speedos in general - green or otherwise....

Be back later.....

Either one of those swimsuits would be a great choice, but unfortunately "real" men just don't have bodies like the guys modeling the suits!
