Terrific Thursday Everyone!

Lisa - hope Casey had a great birthday.

LeiLani - nice to see you posting so much again!

Mark and I had the Olympics off yesterday as there was a Nascar truck race from Bristol. Don't know why but I was so wiped yesterday that I fell asleep on it. Anyone who knows Bristol knows it isn't a boring race.

Morning all. I think I have our flights worked out. We have to stay over an extra day and fly out of Tampa, but that's not the end of the world. It was some major stress though!

And speaking of stress, yesterday was school open house. DD seems to be with a good team, but DS didn't get our first choice. We've got a request in to switch him around. The teachers we talked to said that it should work out since the switches we would make are in the correct levels. Given all that, I didn't even notice the biggest stress until this morning. They changed the school calendar! Now the kids don't "officially" get out for Christmas until the 23rd. So I get to join you BAD parents who are missing a week or more of school. They'll miss 6 days. I did talk to some of the teachers and told them when we were leaving, and they all said "no biggie". That's just so stupid to hold school in so long! Especially in an area where at least 50% of the school is not local, so almost everyone travels for Christmas! Then they get 3 teachers workshop days plus two holidays within the first 6 weeks they come back! Oh well. I'll just talk to the counselor/vice principal and explain that our plans were made before this change, and ask for makeup work.

Enough griping from me. Need to change my attitude, huh? Anyone watch the men's volleyball last night? I thought it was pretty good. But no teeny weeny bikinis for them!

Lisa, the regular women's volleyball team weren't wearing bikinis either. I think it has something to do with being on the beach, like dressing for the occasion. I did enjoy watching Walsh and May, they were pretty awesome. DH thought it was funny that Walsh kept slapping May's rear.

I just thought of something. When we meet Scuba Diver's family in Oct., I can get a pic! Mary, I'll send you one. Then they won't be incognito anymore.

I think the marketing folks would be missing out if they don't make a poster of Michael Phelps in a pose similar to Spitz'. I know at least one girl that would want one.

What's up with those dates, anyway?? Do school boards across the nation get together and decide to mess with everyone??
I'm surprised that it's almost all of us.....usually it's just our little small district that does stupid stuff like that.
I told the Vice Principal about our Bonaire plans before school even started last year. Got assignments from teachers as far in advance as they would allow....and I still got a nasty letter from the school after we got back about "excessive absences".

Diana.....lol......yes, indeedy....mark me down for one.


I should NEVER wait until the last minute to do things. I need to get my rear into the office, have to run to the mall, stop at the grocery store, and I am still not packed. I can't do it tonight late, because DH will be sleeping ever-so-peacefully, and would be disturbed if I were packing HIS clothes and keeping him up.
Remind me to start packing for the cruise when I get back on Monday!

Better get going......OH...and we have our extra daughter for the next two nights, too. Seems her parents are going somewhere.....just exactly how does that work? I'm going to demand Child Support. I think we've had her more than they have this summer!

I just got home, and found us waaaay down near the bottom of the page.

Taking DD to register for dance classes....then finally home to pack.

That will take all the mystery out of it, unless you want a picture of DS and I in our diving speedos.

We do have plenty of digital pictures to send Mary and I will get that done, once we are back to using our regular computer and not DW lap top. Promise.

A good picture to post will be all four of us divers with a picture taken from the Living Seas Restaurant.

Finally done with all of the day's running. Going to go in and pack my suitcase, so that I can come back here and talk to myself.

I hope our room is ready when we check in (but it won't be, we get there at 11:00) because if it is, I'm taking a nap!
Or I could book myself a facial....every time I have one, I fall asleep, and wake myself up by snoring. Very classy!!
