Thank you, Mary....great newsletter! I was really hoping to hear some other people's tips, too!

Got all my errands done. Now it's time to put all of our junk in the suitcase. Hope it fits. I don't want to take two...but this time, it's two girls....not just me and the 2 items of clothing for DH!!

I was hoping to be all done today, so that we could watch tonight's fireworks, and then tomorrow I would have nothing to do. But, unfortunately, more invoices mysteriously showed up on my desk. Hmmmm......wonder how they got there?? Didn't anyone tell my boss, Mr. Scrooge, that it's a holiday??
I chuckle every time I do my books....I still use the green ledgers with the little tiny squares (no wonder I'm half blind)....no computer program for me....and every time I feel like Bob Cratchet. (That was Tiny Tim's dad's name, wasn't it??)
See, Diana...that's why I can't quit....DH would never find anyone willing to do books that way!!! LOL

Up late tonight after watching the Nascar race and now I can't sleep. Guess I'll go read more of the boards and then call it a night!

Wow Mary...I didn't expect to see you here so late! Go get some sleep! Stretch out, and imagine yourelf walking onto the ship, going for lunch, looking out over the railing at the port, and the water. Works for me!

We climbed up our hill to watch the fireworks tonight. The town will do another display tomorrow night, too. I must say, I was very impressed with our little town. It lasted for 45 minutes! And they were all great big ones, some I'd not seen before. Glorious!
We sang all of the patriotic songs we could think of. It got very quiet after that.
All of a sudden, at the exact same moment, Jordan & I both began to sing. "When You Wish Upon A Star"........and of course, we broke out laughing!!!
The bugs about ate us alive. SOMEONE forgot the bug spray.
We met the people who are starting to build a house onthe acreage just west of ours. They came to sit on their property and watch the fireworks for the first time.
Very nice evening...and cooler outside.
Anyway....off to bed. No plans for tomorrow at all...except those pesky invoices. The suitcase is packed!!! So it will be pretty much a day of rest.

Wow morning got here fast I think sometime between getting back from church and going to the town parade I'm going to have to take a nap.

Mary, Great news letter.

We went to a great party last night. They were celebrating their 40th together. I do not drink. I can not remenber the last time I had to much to drink..........Well last night I had way to many jello shots and an apple martini. I have to get ready to go to work at 7:45 and I would much perfer to stay in bed and get rid of the terrible nausea. That should teach me!!!!! DH was in shock-he had soda all night. They had an awesome DJ. The pary was still going strong when we left at 11:45 to take our sitter to the train. I can't imange feeling this way on the DC when we are at sea.

I hope you all have a wonderful 4th. We are having family over for dinner and for sure taking it easy tonight. DD leaves for Girl Scout camp tomorrow for 3 nights. I will be finishing up her packing later.

We had a nice day yesterday. Not sure if you remember, but we recently had a friend die unexpectedly (at the age of 43) Yesterday his wife and their kids came over to swim and have a cookout. It was good to see them again. They all seem to be doing well. I'm sure they have their moments. They did find out what happened. He had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Thickening of the heart muscle that can cause sudden death. Now everyone in the family is being tested (because it's inhereted) and they've already found some who have it. The kids will be tested in August. Saddest thing in the whole picture is that Gail's father (who is still alive) has it and has a pacemaker and an internal defibrillator. UNFORTUNATELY, his doctors in his very small little town, never put a NAME to what he has and never told him that the entire family should be tested. This death could have been prevented as Gail has had some issues, but since he didn't know his family history, they were pretty much blown off.

Happy 4th of July! Went out for ice cream last night, and there were fireworks shows on either side of us. Would love to see the ones at WDW tonight!

GaRy, Adventurer's Club meet is Sunday, August 8, about 8 pm. So far, it's DD and I, Stacey and Megan, and Cindy and her DH. That I know of. Maybe someone will surprise us! We should be easy to find, if you wear your t-shirt.

So, the family went to Blue Hole to scuba today, leaving me to pack for the trip. Ah well, I'd rather make sure Alicia has all her costume pieces anyway. When she packs, I keep asking her if she's got everything. How to annoy your teen...

We're taking the laptop, so I might be checking in from Vegas. If I can remember my DIS password!

And I don't get drunk, I get stupid. Imagine me .....only ten times worse than I already am. I don't think anyone would want to see that.

Diana, Jordan brought me her clothes to pack, and she didn't do half bad. Had to send a few back to her room. She's actually bringing less clothes than I am. Glad I don't have to worry about costumes! What time do you think you'll get in??
Also, jilljill & DD may be at the Adventurer's Club also.

ONE MORE DAY LADIES!!!!! Do you think Vegas is prepared for us???

I'm wishing we had a coast, or a beach, or a Gettysburg, or Hershey's or something....I would love to send the men in my family away for the weekend. DH is listing all the chores that need to be done. Someone tell him it's a holiday!!!!

Okay...it's okay. I'll be on my way to the airport in 23 hours.

Anyway.....enjoy the 4th.

Still here - mainly lurk on this thread as it moves way too fast to keep up. I kind of feel like I'm easedropping on a party line! I am interested in the t-shirts though, so I've got some reading to do to figure out what's up...

My husband's R&R has come through, so he will be meeting me and our two boys (9 & 13) in Orlando for a few days at WDW and then on to the cruise.

I'll try and drop in more regularly...
