THE SUPERVISOR ONLY WANTS ONE LIST. SHE EXPLAINED TO ME TO TRY TO MAKE IT IS AS EASY AS POSSIBLE FOR DISNEY. ONCE THIS IS SET UP AND WE HAVE A CONFIRMED DATE OTHERS WHO SIGN UP FOR THE CRUISE LATE OR DECIDED LAST MINUTE THEY WANT TO JOIN US CAN CALL DISNEY AND GET HOOKED UP TO THE LIST. He shouldn't be cold, he's in an area of the house that doesn't have the air conditioner blowing on him, and he's very hairy. I will definitely try the clock in a blanket...I'd forgotten that one. He has a rubber toy thing that you fill with peanut butter, and freeze, so I have it in the freezer, ready for tonight. I'm told it will keep him quiet and happy for hours.
I'd like to get at least 3 hours sleep.

Hi everyone.

THE TOTAL FOR THE BRUNCH RIGHT NOW IS 59.

WE WILL BE LEAVING SOON TO GO TO SHEA STADIUM AND SEE THE METS PLAY. I AM SO PSYCHED. WE LOVE BASEBALL AND WE HAVE FIELD BOX SEATS. KIDS ARE STAYING HOME. IT WILL BE NICE AND QUIET AT LEAST FOR US. GAIL

Stacey, sounds like he's not used to being alone at night. Does he usually sleep with your daughter and SIL? Another thing they didn't tell you, maybe.

So how many formal nights and semi-formal nights are we expecting, and is it official yet? I have to decide which dresses we are taking, DD wants to take them all.

Is any one up for a more informal get-together early on, to give our kids a chance to meet each other? Maybe meet at a certain spot for the sail-away party?

I'm definately up for an earlier get together. We've done DIS meets at sailaway but it can get very crowded with everyone in the same spot for sailaway. Last May we did a get together at 3pm up on deck 10. It gave us about 45 minutes before the drill and just about everyone was onboard by that time, been to their cabin and walking around the ship. We did it mid-ship overlooking the goofy pool so those who had kids who wanted to swim could be close by them.

What do you all think of that?

Mary, I like that idea. Some people do the promenade lounge, but prying those kids away from the pool that first day is tough!

Especially when they've been in the Mickey pool for hours and they are now wet and cold from the A/C!

I'm sure we'll be in the Mickey pool exactly 1 minute after embarkation, so you'll know where to find me!

Sounds good to me, too, Mary! We have a pretty large group, so it would get awfully crowded at the sail-away party.
Last cruise, quite a few of us ran into each other in the terminal. It was funny, because we didn't have name tags on, but somehow we just "knew". One of those, Mary, was Gail..#1Mouse.

Diana, even if DD does let the dog sleep with her (although she swears she doesn't!) too bad for the dog...he's not sleepingwith me!! We've decided to take him with us to our games tonight. He can be out in the fresh air, run around, play with other dogs. Maybe it will tire him out enough to want to sleep. One can hope.

3 pm sounds good to me. Will have to note it on the itinerary! We haven't booked flights yet, or a first night hotel (hoping for the Hyatt in the airport), but we've got the meeting set!

Glad everyone likes the 3pm idea. That's when I was going to hand out the buttons. I think the promonade lounge would be a good back-up meeting location in the event of bad weather.

Stacey - so you got to meet Gail #1Mouse and her DH John. Aren't they great people? Wish they were sailing with us. I kept going "10 Day Christmas Cruise" to John.

Yes, I met Gail & John...we even ended up on the same shore excursion in Nassau. REALLY great people!! Gail is one of the ones who offered to help with things for DD's wedding when the future in-laws weren't volunteering & instead just making things harder. Such a sweetie!

Well....off to the ballpark. I must be insane. It's 107 out there.
If I croak in the heat, have a couple of Konk Coolers for me at the sail-away!!
