Stacey - I would love to join all of you in Vegas but my vacation budget is pretty much tapped out for this year and next year.
Thanks for the invite though.
I don't think a Minnie sundress would be appropriate for Vegas. I was thinking more of a Speedo!

Paul

Paul-I didn't know you had a MINNIE SPEEDO!!!! Are you going to wear it on the cruise?

Linda

Very good, Linda!

Popping in quick before DD arrives with my grandpuppy, we get to babysit till the 27th.

I got my new Magellan's catalog in the mail. I love all their travel stuff.
They have a great hanging organizer/toiletry bag on sale for $19.00 (I know, it's a lot compared to a shoe holder, but this is pretty cool) www.magellans.com and it's item #TK870
They also have the lead bags to put your film in to protect them from xray.
I love that catalog!

Back after dinner...everyone have a great evening!

If you think I was laughing before, you should see me NOW!

I have tears, and my kids think I'm whacko!

I hadn't thought of the Minnie/mini thing until you brought it up, Paul. Now I'm dying.....mini thing....:teeth: :earseek:

Sure Stacey-get me all excited. So I go into that website, punch in TK870 and it says "Sorry product no longer available."

What did you do, buy them out?

Linda

60,000 of them, for my closest friends!

They call it a Personal Care Kit....wonder if that would help

Sorry, Linda.....I couldn't find the same one on there either....then they shouldn't have it in their brand new catalog!!

They do have some really cool stuff, though.

Well, it seems to have disappeared, so I did the next best thing......ordered a catalog!!!!

Linda:wave2:

I was going to offer to send you mine, but you'll probably get it faster that way!

Paul......did we run you off? I wasn't trying to insult you...honest!!
Just having a mini bit of fun.....:teeth:

Can we put a vest on the puppy and have her walk next to Cash, as a "service dog in training"????

Stacey

The short answer to that is...No. SDITs generally have no more priviledges than ordinary pets. Some states grant access to SDITs and, occasionally a business, if asked, will grant access. A cruise ship, however has far too many advanced obstacles for an SDIT to manage. This kind of situation, though, is becoming more and more difficult for Service Dog handlers as people dress their pets in vests and try to pass them off as Service animals. The next thing you know, businesses will be asking for medical proof of a disability before granting access to a "claimed" service animal....and I just can't see myself handing my medical records off to some airline gate agent, or grocery store clerk...

HOWEVER

If you would like to contact DCL and request that your puppy be permitted to attend training sessions aboard a cruise that I will be on, I could be persuaded to take on a student puppy as specialized socialization training for Cash as well as specialized obedience training for the puppy.... if you think the puppy will need this kind of specialized training in his future.....

It would take an awful lot to run me off! Just went away to do my exercising.

Hi everyone!

Well today was our last day of school. Got all teared up as DS graduated from the 5th grade. No more elementary school!

I am looking forward to having the summer off. Maybe I can catch up on cruise planning like some of you. Haven't even begun to think about shopping yet. Hopefully I can get some weight off and fit back into my formal from our 2002 cruise.

Wish I could join you guys in Vegas, but we will be in Texas. In-laws are celebrating their 50th. We haven't been home in a few years and am looking forward to it. Anyone in the Austin area???

Have a good evening all.

Cash and I live in Leander, just north of Austin.....:wave2:

WVMD, this may be the solution to the question we were mulling over when you were here this weekend. Remember? Think this would work?

I'm hoping that this puppy will need specialized training in the future (once the rambunctious puppy stage is over) Someday I'd like to get him Therapy Dog Status and visit the local nursing homes and hospitals. Although there is NO way I'd even THINK of taking a puppy on a cruise for ANY reason. But when Stacy wrote that I did chuckle out loud. She's always thinkin'!

Got word from the breeder today that the remaining puppies are all doing well and are all over 16 oz!! Eating machines!

We're having a little "socialization training" here tonight. Trying to get my DH used to the grandpuppy!
We've always had outdoor/indoor (mostly outdoor) dogs, so keeping an eye on this little guy (Lhasa) will keep us on our toes!
Had to chase the little bugger all over the backyard to bring him inside after a potty break. Next time, he goes on his leash!
Maybe I'll lose a pound or two!

Virgil....were you wondering about protecting your film? I have a lead bag for my film, and haven't had a problem so far.
I have both a digital and a 35mm camera, and frankly, I think I still get better shots with the 35mm. So, I've been taking the 35mm with me quite a bit. Let me know if you have any questions.

All done with DS's ball games, and what are we doing tonight? Watching the D-Backs on TV, of course.

Paul....keep up the good work with the excercising....I didn't think you needed it, but it's good for your heart. I have a treadmill. I'm on it everyday. I walk across it to open the blinds in the family room!

Back after the game!

Stacey

Game's over....D-Backs lost. We had two tickets for tomorrow nights' game against the Yankees, in the pool. But because DD #1 is going to New York tomorrow, we have no one to watch the kids. Tried getting extra tickets for them to come along, but I was told they (this was through the Mirage) wouldn't know how many extras they'd have until tomorrow afternoon.
DH has his first day of jury duty, and I would have needed to tell him ahead of time, so that he could meet us at the ballpark. So, we're not going. That would have been really cool, they have a nice party room, good food....and it's only for private parties. Probably the only time we would have a chance to do that.
Guess I'll just have to get rich enough to have my own party there!
We've got some great seats for Jared's birthday, so that will be nice.....
Tomorrow is DH's birthday, time flies! I always thought it was pretty neat that I had Jordan right before Mother's Day, and Jared right after Father's Day and Jay's birthday. Very well planned! (yeah, right) Actually, Jared was 6 weeks premature. And he still weighed 8lbs 5oz! Did he ever look funny in the incubator in the NICU, compared to all the teeny ones!
Geez...how did I get on that subject????
Just me, talking to myself again.

:bored:
