Wow Stacey! I want your job! You must only work a couple of hours a day!

As you can tell not much going on here at work so I thought I would check the boards.

I'll check again when I get home from work.

Paul

Hi Gail...I'm so sorry your daughter has to go through all that. The prep days are the hardest part. Once she gets started Monday, it'll be over in a flash, and when she gets home and can eat, it'll be better. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and will be until Monday and for as long after as needed.

Paul.......it's just that I am SOOOOO good, it only takes me half the time to get done!

Time to start the bus stop runs.....Get back to work, Paul! Cruises to pay for!

Later,
Stacey

Talked to a CM at DCL today, the first thing I said to her was that I hoped she was having a much better day today, and she laughed.
She said that DCL wasn't booking any suites for the repo cruises, or the Mexican Riviera until they went through all of the faxed requests. They'll know tomorrow.
Disneyland is only reserving standard rooms at this time for the 50th celebration, too. No special requests, like view or room type at all. I booked a room......should have gone to bed last night when I said I was going to! It was more than we usually pay....but I decided that it would be stupid to be in CA and not go to the 50th celebration. I can make changes later, better to have any room, than no room at all. The package includes a few extras....the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour, an anniversary clock...and something else...I forget.
Even if offered, I may not upgrade to a suite for our cruise. We have two adjoining, which sounds likea great idea, and cheaper, too. I just wish I could have had two adjoining for this Christmas cruise. I'm still afraid that we are going to kill eachother.
Oh well.....off to DD's dance class.
Back later, in between my shows.
Stacey

Good Afternoon everyone! :wizard:
Ahhhh slept like a baby last night now that all the cruise anxiety and drama are over... now just have to pay for it!! :p
My DD princess: thinks we have gone nuts  ... now she is starting to worry that I'm spending not only her inheritance but her :bride: wedding money as well... yeah... well deal with it sweetie, we're not putting our life on hold while you look for prince charming!

Linda, I like SeaULater too! Guess We'll be "seaing" each other on both threads... and both cruises! Can't wait!

Gail: Hope the kids are better soon. Poor things... I'm glad they had the chance to have fun and play at the beach while they were down here.

Lisa: I feel for you in the whole parent volunteer mess. I have been there done that and am SO glad that part of my life is over! Thank goodness they didn't want parent volunteers in college...:cheer2:

:bride: :groom: Too funny, Leslie!
My kids think all this cruising is great.....except the married one who doesn't get to go! Wonder why that is??

Leslie-that's great. I figure once I'm dead I can't spend any money, so I might as well do my best now. Besides, the kids will only fight over what we got anyway!!!!!

Linda

I keep telling my kids that we are spending all our money now so that they can support us later!

Hi all!

Gail - It was a beautiful day here today, too! Nice change from all the wet weather as of late. I'm keeping your DD in my prayers -- hope it all goes o.k. for her. Let us know. Glad to hear your kitchen is up and running again!

Vicki - Full moons are wild, huh? The nursing home always tells us it's so much more active at night with the residents when it's a full moon. I think it affects small children, too! (That's my story and I'm sticking with it!) ::yes::

Linda - Like the new name, too! You're absolutely right - it's only money. My MIL saved and saved her entire life thinking they'd "someday" travel. FIL got sick and they never got to do much of anything. Then she got sick......never really enjoyed what she worked so hard for her entire life. Have you seen the bumper sticker - "We're out spending our kids' inheritance!" Love it!

:daisy: Stace - Sent you an email.

Wow, Vicki...I would LOVE to be there with you right now. My friend was at her friend's ranch a week ago at just the right time. Got to see a new baby be born. Pictures and all...some were kind of gushy. So beautiful to see that young foal stand up right away. Makes a true believer out of you.

Well....better late than never tonight.....have to go to bed and quit clicking the keys....Jordan is sleeping out here because there's a mouse in her room (we named him Stuart, couldn't call him Mickey...since he's probably going to end up in a t.r.a.p.). But so far, a very smart mouse. Eats all the peanut butter off the traps.
Anyway....

FABULOUS FRIDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE CHRISTMAS CRUISERS NEAR AND FAR!

Stacey

Stace - I would love to see a foal being delivered. Every time I am in a delivery it does really bring back home the miricle of life, I guess that's why after a day like yesterday ya gotta just go back for more.

Full moons can be wicked, "they" say studies have proven there is not an increase of births during a full moon. I'm not sure where "they" researched but it wasn't any L&D I've ever been in. I think the full moon affects more than just deliveries. (Look at the increased activity at DCL - I imagine they planned it just to coincide with the full moon.

HAPPY FRIDAY TO ONE AND ALL TGIF

Vicki

Morning all. I'm in a much better mood this morning. Sorry for whining yesterday! It was so cute watching DS at boy scouts yesterday. They had all the 1st and 2nd year scouts outside practicing camp set up. They had 4 tents, and divided the boys into groups of about 6. Then they had various races to put up and take down the tents. DS's group of first years did really great! They actually figured out right away that dividing the jobs up made things go much smoother. They either beat or tied both groups of 2nd years every time. The other group of first year boys had all 6 boys trying to do the exact same thing. That group probably took about 3 times longer to put up and take down. The scout master came over and said "Boys, it's raining and we're all getting wet. You need to get that tent up." It will be interesting to see if those boys ever figured out why they took so much longer than the other groups.

And Leslie, spend that money! It's your hard work! I just don't get the whole inheritance thing. My brother keeps asking my Mom about his inheritance. I keep saying spend it all! I don't want to have to deal with it once your gone! All it does is lead to hate and discontent!

Anyone up for chat tonight? I'll probably be there. Tomorrow is busy, but nothing major tonight.

5555

I couldn't resist taking post 5555. Maybe it'll be a harbinger of things to come.........

Oh well - what a busy week it's been....

I hope everyone has great Friday....... I work nights on Saturday and Sunday - so I'll be up with the West Coasters......
