I checked on the progress of the new house today. So far we have basement walls, and they have backfilled in the garage and front porch. We also have a stone driveway - it's pretty steep compared to the rest of the neighbors and considering it's really flat there.
Gotta get dinner and make key lime pies.

congrats jilljill on T O P

hope everyone has had a great weekend. Quiet here not too much :sunny: just wind and rain.

Paul glad to hear your mom is doing better.

Lisa hope DD is feeling better. Nothing like a sick shild to keep ya up all night.

DD is waiting to have me help her with her hair so gotta run.....

Have a great week everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice day here today! It finally reached 68 degrees here. It was so nice that after the race I felt compelled to go out and do some yard work. (Actually all the neighbors had mowed their lawns which made mine the worst looking one on the block!)

Now I'm off to watch the Sopranos.

Paul

It's raining here AGAIN!!! They are still calling for S***. I hope it stays away.

Virgil, I hope you have a quiet night tonight ::yes::

Jilljill.....mmmm I LOVE Key Lime pies.... that is if they're good ones.... :snooty:

DW was depressed that Jr. had such a bad day..... She's definitely a fan......Well - I guess so am I... DD Kristin (18) thinks we've turned into such rednecks for liking NASCAR.....

I hope I have a quiet night.....

I'M BAAAAACK!! :wave2:

Now I'm really tired! I had to read 9 pages to catch up! Good job everyone.

I guess I missed one heck of a rain here. Our creek was running alot. Good weekend to be gone.

The party we went to at the Mirage was great, we were asked to sit at the Executive Host table. We had to be on our best behavior, no reaching across the table, no teeth picking. (We don't really do that! )
We had an all-around great time. I was invited back for a huge tournament, by invite only. Not sure if I'll do it.
I'm afraid to tell my best-ever buddy GaRry........but I had a great streak of luck. At one point, I had 3 machines going off at the same time. Kind of embarassing. So I came out ahead.
Lots of NASCAR fans up there for the race. You can really pick them out from the crowd. And tell who their favorite driver is!!

Guess I'll look at my mail, then check back.

Good to "see" you all again! I need to get a lap top so that I can keep up while I'm gone.

Stacey

Just checking in before I head off to sleep.

Virgil - here's hoping you have a quiet uneventful night in the ER.

Stacey - welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time in Vegas.

I could not believe that it was still 86 degrees outside when we got off the plane at 6:15!!! Way too early for hot weather.

Didn't read all my mail. Jordan's weekly progress reports were there. I'm almost afraid to look, and don't want to ruin a good weekend. :p Actually, they have been really good....it just takes forever to go through them all. But it's a great idea...nice to keep track of how they're doing week-by-week. Wish they had done this when DD#1 was in school.
Jared went to the Middle School to tour it & see what it's like for next year. He told his dad that the girls there are really cute. :( Bad enough my "baby" will be in junior high school, but he doesn't think girls have cooties anymore!!! I think I see a whole lot of grey in my hair all of a sudden!!

Well guys, I'm beat. Too much staying up late, and sleeping in can spoil a person, but it's back to the old grind tomorrow. After I pick up my Molly girl, that is.

Oh...almost forgot....we went to the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace. They have a HUGE Disney Store. A separate room with collectables & cells....they were also having a huge sale...up to 75% off of almost everything. Too bad Jay was with me....I would have bought half the store. Wonder if they are going to close that store?

Anyway, talk to you tomorrow,

Stacey

Happy Monday, everyone
Welcome back Stacey.......Bones for Molly

I'm off to AAA to see about applying a discount rate to my May POP reservation before the cruise. The AKL rate is locked in as its part of the package and the Dolphin isn't affected so I'll have to be happy with saving $100...I know where THAT savings will go....the bank, the bank, the bank, where all good little cruise money goes...
Later

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday!

Cold here in Chicago and they are using the "snow" word again :( I want :sunny:

Hard time getting on the DIS this morning - couldn't get on at all from home so I was checking now before I start work. I'll pop back on at lunchtime and see how everyone is doing.

Have a great day everyone!

The challenge for today if you are all up to it. This post should be 3250. So two benchmarks for you.

25 posts get us to 3275, 50 posts get us to 3300 - which do you think we can make by the end of the day?

Not too much fluff as I'm afraid if we do too much of the the mods may shut us down.

I'll start the ball rolling with a question - where is your favorite place to do sailaway from?

My answer - we've done it from deck 10 up front, deck 10 mid-ship (right by the party) and from our own veranda.

I think my favorite spot is the front of deck 10. The party gets way too loud for my taste and while our veranda was great you only get to see one side. With deck 10 you can wave to the people at Grills on one side, go check out the subs on the other side and then go back to see Jetty park.

So how about you - what does your family do. Are you right in the party action or off having your own celebration?

WELL now that my very bestest friend ( rich that is) Is back lets do 3 3 0 0 post today
another work day so I'll be in and out.

Morning all. Good to know I wasn't the only one having trouble this morning. I was trying to post my WISH journal with NO luck! Finally got it in after my 8:30 meeting.

Thanks for the kind thoughts for DD. Her fever finally broke Sunday morning. Never did have anything else with it, so maybe it was just a weird virus. She went ahead with the baptism, and two of her teachers came to watch which was really nice. A total of 12 people including 5 adults were baptized, so it was a long night, but it was very uplifting. Our church has a basic belief that we are all ministers (with a little m), so fathers are encouraged to baptize their children if that's what they want. DD wanted Dad to do it, so he was more nervous than she was. He kept practicing "in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit" and wouldn't you know, that's what he forgot! By the time I realized what he was trying to remember, he just blurted something out and dunked her! Oh well, just one of those little things that make life fun!

And in answer to Mary's question (and in the interest of keeping the count up!) I like Deck 10 mid-ship. 1st cruise, we were just aft of Mary's pictures (I checked them all, and we were probably about 15 feet back of the furthest one. There was a wooden box for trash/towels there that the kids set their bubbles on.) As we were out in the channel, we started walking around the top deck, and DD saw a pod of dolphins off the port side.

2nd cruise we were on the Deck 9 floor, but that was just too loud/busy for my taste. The kids have gotten too self-conscious to dance and they get embarrassed when I do it!

Good Morning Everyone!

GaRry....that's a pretty good challenge!

The first cruise we were in the thick of the party, and couldn't take it, so we went up and walked all around Deck 10 Forward. Saw quite a bit from up there.
Second cruise, Deck 10 Mid....DIS meet, port side. Great to see the CM's waving us off, but too noisy to talk to anyone!

Have to run....Molly is waiting. And then work. Back here later to check in while I am doing a ton of laundry. Fairy tale over till next time. princess: /:crazy:

Stacey

tkd Lisa,

My kids are like yours....they won't get out there and dance either, although DD takes Jazz and will do recitals.....go figure.

They hate it when I dance, too!

ALWAYS DECK 10 MIDSHIP really port side is starboard side, so starboard side is the side thats at the post side but its called starboard side. so think of port as starboard not port but it is the side at the dock. W O W glad thats really straightened out now:teeth: :hyper:

Stacey remember I claimed sharing:tongue:  :p
buy the way we didnot want to have alot of pages for you too read soooo we only post a little. ::yes:: ::yes::

Good morning all. The SUN IS SHINING and all of a sudden we are getting a heat wave. Thanks Matt, it must be coming from California! (Hope your trip to Mississippi went okay).

We are suppose to be 51 degrees today. Boy, I better start getting out those swimsuits!

Mary, thanks for the info on the DVD, I ordered one this morning.

Stacey, how old is your DS? Jamie, DD, will be 12 and in 7th grade this fall. She visits her junior high school in the next couple of weeks and just finished registering. Of course, I had to pay $$$$ for her to go to junior high also!

GaRry, hope the snail mail comes today.

I'll check back!

Linda

Linda, I'm pretty sure Stacey's daughters are younger. But my daughter Kaylie will turn 12 the end of this month and will also be in 7th grade at cruise time. Dancind's daughter is also about that age. Sounds like good pal around friends? DD would love a pm or email. BTW, we are changing email providers. For right now, sanderste@earthlink.net should reach us.

And I know I owe Angela's son a pm from my son. It just never pops in my head when my son's around, and I'm at the computer.

okay another fast post before lunch
